Bel appartement au 1er étage dans la maison historique du canal, Jordaan, Centre, Amsterdam

Appartement 1 chambre confortable dans une maison de canal historique dans un quartier résidentiel calme et très populaire sur l'île de la ville d'Amsterdam `` Prinseneiland '', l'île est comme un village à l'ancienne dans le centre d'Amsterdam, et est habitée par un joli mélange d'artistes, des expatriés et des Amsterdamois traditionnels, à proximité des canaux et des principales attractions de la ville.

L'appartement a une atmosphère très agréable avec un style «authentique», une cuisine ouverte entièrement équipée dans le salon, une salle de bain privée avec douche, Internet sans fil, une télévision avec chaînes internationales et bien sûr une cafetière. Dans la chambre est un lit double et dans le salon il y a un canapé qui peut également être transformé en un lit double confortable, si vous aimez dormir séparément. (les coûts pour les draps supplémentaires sont de 10 euros). Les réservations sont pour 2 personnes maximum!
Tout dans cet appartement est en très bon état!

Le quartier est idéalement situé à environ 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville animé avec de nombreux restaurants et magasins, la maison d'Ann Frank, la gare centrale, le quartier rouge, la place du Dam et le Westerpark et 3 jolis marchés le lundi ( artisanat), les mercredis (bio) et les samedis (agriculteurs).

Everything was perfect. Easy to get around Amsterdam from here. A lovely neighborhood. Little thing that made me happy. Facecloths seem to be going the way of the past. I love facecloths and pack one just so I have one. No need here! They we sewed like a mitt! You could put soap inside and wash away. Came home and sewed a few of my own.

Emmy is a great host. This place is special. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood where you can hear the birds chirping and locals live there but it’s right walking distance from anywhere you need to be. It’s easy to walk (or grab a tram) from the central train station or to any of the major sites in the city. The place is very clean, the kitchen was well equipped -I was able to make dinner, and you can have really restful sleeps there. I plan to come back for sure. My trip was a mix of work and pleasure.

The apartment was clean. There is a refrigerator but no freezer. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no Kleenex and no paper towels. The apartment had an odd configuration. In order to get to the bedroom you had to walk through the bathroom. Although the front door to the building could be locked, those rooms couldn't be locked. The living room/kitchen could be locked. The neighborhood is beautiful and near the canals. However, there were no restaurants or shops closely. Everything was 10-15 minutes away.

(1) The actual situation of the rooms did not match with the photos. The photos showed the rooms to be pretty large, but the bedroom and sitting room are actually very very small; (2) up and down the stairs were very difficult since the space is too tight and it is steep, it is very difficult to bring luggage up and down the stairs, not suitable for seniors; (3) no air conditioners. If the temperature is high, there temperature inside is even higher you can't even bear it; (4) to protect the dinner table surface, the host put a very dirty cover on top which is very disgusting; (5) the water tab in the bathroom has very small water flow which I have never seen; (6) when we book it, it did not say but when we have arrived and would like to use the sofa bed to sleep separately, we were asked to pay extra 10 Euros; (7) check-in is not convenient. The host has to wait for the arrival of the guests; (8) the hot water supply was very mean. It changes all the time between too hot and too cold, which was the worst shower we have ever experienced; (9) the advertisement did not say that the fridge did not have a freezer; we found it out after we bought some ice cream and then suddenly we recognized that there was no place to store. therefore the ice cream was totally wasted; (10) it does not have AC, but you cannot open the window since the mosquito will attack you during the night. In summary, this is the worst condition we have ever experienced so far.

It was a lovely quiet peaceful haven. In a family neighborhood within walking distance of the busy city. Very narrow stairs to walk up and down, especially with luggage. So you must be agile!

This apartment is in a perfect location with easy access to the bus and tram. Grocery store and restaurants are near by. Had a wonderful 3 night stay in this very cute and comfortable apartment. Emmy, the host, was there to greet us upon arrival to show us around the apartment and give us a run down on this charming and quiet community. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. Great location walkable to shopping, dining, markets and tourist areas. Only a short Uber ride to train station and cruise port. Stairs are steep like most traditional Dutch homes so if you have mobility issues book the ground floor unit which is just as lovely!

A very pleasant stay

The apartment suited our needs perfectly and we enjoyed an evening walk and a meal in a bar in the local area. Great position for walking in to the centre and a tram back at night.

Place was within an easy bus ride of Central Station and even a walkable distance.Emmy gave us great directions and was there greet us and help us get our luggage up the very steep stairs.We loved the neighborhood- very quiet and felt like locals. Emmy had lots of suggestions for groceries, cafes and pubs. 5 minute walk to Haarlemmerplein Square which has lots of stores and bus/tram connections.Only minor complaint is no a/c and was very warm in the apartment.

This first floor apartment in a historic canal house, is located in a quiet and very popular residential area on the Amsterdam city island 'Prinseneiland', The island is like an old fashioned village within the center of Amsterdam, and is inhabited by a nice mixture of artists, expats and traditional Amsterdam people, close to the canals and main city’s attractions, shops, restaurants and bars.
