Affordable and on the lake. Is it time to take a relaxing stay-cation, fish-cation or vacation? If you are planning a fishing trip or entering a tournament, or just want a relaxing break in Guntersville...this is your place! Bring your furbaby, $50 per pet/ per stay. Large deck for enjoying the outdoors and grilling out, and a fire pit perfect for chilly nights. Take a walk out on the pier and wet a line. The water in front of The Cottage is very shallow and silky on the bottom, I would not recommend swimming here. The kitchen is equipped to make food preparation a breeze. Two miles from Steel Ford Boat Launch and 5 miles from downtown Guntersville. You have to visit City Harbor offering dining, shops, and entertainment! Come stay with us, you won't be disappointed! Home of the 2014 Bass Masters Classic!

A family of 6 with our last daughter studying at Auburn. Our family has grown to include 6 grand children.

Update! We are up to 7 grand children and yes, our last daughter graduated from Auburn in 2017! Automatic raise for us. We still love the lake and I love meeting the guest that stay with us.

Why they chose this property

For years we traveled to Guntersville from Madison, Alabama. In 2007 we decided to make the move. We found a house on a hill and moved. We were not able to buy property on the lake at that time. In 2012 found this house and made the decision to rent it at a resonable rate so others traveling to this area could enjoy this beautiful lake. This has given us many opportunities to meet people from all over. I have really enjoyed renting The Cottage and making others feel at home during their visit.

What makes this property unique

Pet friendly at a reasonable rate! I love the outside deck area! You can sit in the sun or the shade of the tree. Often you see ducks, geese, squirrels, and chipmunks. This is an older home with an arched hall entry. We have updated the flooring, master bath and kitchen. It is very comfortable and clean!

Two miles to the closest boat launch and PUBLIX! An older residential area located on a dead-end street.
