We’re Devin and Jasmine, partners in life and in building Será. We’re based in Washington DC and split our time between city life and the rural landscapes of West Virginia, where many of our projects live.

Devin is an architect and Jasmine is an attorney. We’ve spent years traveling, designing, and studying what makes places feel meaningful rather than just functional. Creating Será grew naturally out of that. We wanted to create spaces we’d genuinely want to stay in ourselves. Calm, well designed, thoughtfully equipped, and connected to their surroundings.

We love hosting because it allows us to share places that slow people down a bit. Not in a precious way, just in a way that feels considered and human.

Why they chose this property

The property sits in a quiet, natural setting where the pace shifts almost immediately after you arrive. The landscape does a lot of the work here. Forest, open sky, and a sense of space that’s hard to find in daily life.

What we love most is the balance. You feel removed, but not isolated. Mornings are quiet and expansive. Days invite hiking, reading, cooking, or doing nothing at all. Nights are about stillness, weather, and being present.

The surrounding area is understated and authentic. It’s not curated for tourists, which is exactly the appeal. It’s a place where nature sets the tone and you can settle into it at your own speed.

What makes this property unique

This isn’t a generic short term rental. Every decision, from the layout to the materials to the kitchen setup, was intentional.

As architect owners, we designed the space from the ground up around how people actually live and unwind. It’s minimal but warm, refined without being precious, and equipped the way we expect a place to be when we travel ourselves. Real cookware, comfortable furniture, thoughtful lighting, and spaces that feel good to be in.

More than anything, what sets it apart is that it’s personal. We’re directly involved in the design, the upkeep, and the experience. Guests aren’t passed off to a faceless operator. You’re staying somewhere that reflects real care, real taste, and a genuine desire to create a memorable, grounded stay.
