About Astrid and Rick
Hi, We are Astrid (46) and Rick (45), we have two sons, Joris (14) and Jesse (7). Rick is born and raised in Amsterdam and I moved 25 years ago to Amsterdam. Before we settled down we have travelled the world and stayed also at other people houses. We like to think that by staying with locals you’ll see a different city. Of course we will help you to explore the city and if we have the time we will show you around. If the weather permits, and if our schedule allows it we can go for a boot trip or have a drink at our rooftop.
Astrid and Rick purchased this Studio in 2001
Why Astrid and Rick chose Frederik Hendrikbuurt
It was our dream that one day a small piece of Amsterdam would be ours. Once back in Amsterdam we decided to chase our dream. 15 years ago we bought our town house, which was build in 1897 and stood the test of time really well.
What makes this Studio unique
Located in the best part of Amsterdam, called the Jordaan. Our street is really quiet but around the corner you will see the most picturesque street with all little restaurants, bars and shops with in the background the Wester Church. For us one of the reasons to buy the house.

This spot was perfect in every way . It felt like a home away from home.
The location was perfect. It is located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, but a short walk to town that can take you any where you need to go. Astrid is a warm and friendly hostess who is available to help with any questions. Your privacy is respected, and although family lives above and below you, you never know they are there. Wine, coffee and wonderful shampoos are all supplied.
We highly recommend Rosie’s Place
This unit was perfect for our stay in Amsterdam. Communication with Astrid was great and we really enjoyed meeting her and Rick. Very nice couple and helpful with anything you need. The space was comfy with plenty of space for 2 of us. We rarely spent time in the unit with so much to see and do but it was very quiet and relaxing when we were there. The balcony is a bonus but unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy it very long as we had some rainy days. We would highly recommend this space and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
Enjoyed our stay
Lovely apartment in a great location. Astrid was very helpful also.
Sparkling clean. Everything was absolutely pristine and very well appointed. Beautiful property.
Our stay at Astrid and Rick's place was wonderful. The apartment was extremely clean, beautiful, and contained everything needed for a perfect stay in Amsterdam. The Jordaan neighborhood ended up being our favorite area of the city. It is just a few minutes walk to the Anne Frank Haus and is surrounded by neighborhood shops and eateries. The apartment is very quiet yet within walking distance to all of the excitement of Amsterdam. Astrid and Rick are wonderful hosts - kind, generous, and always willing to offer assistance. Don't hesitate about staying here as you will not be disappointed.
Really great apparment
Great appartment in a fantastic location. Really easy going hosts who provided us with a bottle of cava for new year! The appartment was great and had everything you could need. Will definitely be booking again!
Great place to stay! Astrid was outstanding! She was extremely helpful and patient. Since we arrived during the 2nd Christmas Day, she even made a reservation at a local restaurant just down the street and around the corner, as well as making recommendations for sightseeing on the canals. The apartment was extremely clean and had everything we needed as we cooked breakfast each morning. The location couldn't have been better - 5 minute walk to Anne Frank House. Although we didn't use the trolley, it was very close. We walked or used used UBER to get around and that was terrific as well. The neighborhood was very walkable to shops, grocery store and restaurants. Strongly urge you to stay here and enjoy Dutch hospitality and culture.
Located in the Jordaan, center of Amsterdam. Anne Frank museum and the Western church are 5 minutes walking. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops and galleries around the corner. Local markets on Monday and Saturday morning.
