About the property

Great oceanfront unit also ask about our ocean view unit in the same complex.

You get great views of the beach from this top floor ocean front unit. The 50 inch tv w/blu-ray in the living room is great if you decide you want to spend an evening just relaxing or watching a game. There is also 42'' tv in the master bedroom and a 39' in the spare bedroom for your viewing pleasure and all of the tv's have a DVD player. Wi-fi is also available if you want to search for local attractions or want to keep up with what's going on at home or on Facebook. There is also free long distance telephone service.

You will be able to enter the unit with a 4 digit code that you can specify so that there is no worry about tracking down your keys upon arrival. Please remember that check in is at 3 p.m. and your code will not work until shortly before that time on the day of arrival and the code will deactivate shortly after your 10 a.m. check out time. This is for the security of all of our guests.

Cocoa Beach is a great family friendly town and Sandcastles is the best weekly rental complex in Cocoa Beach. We are an hour from the Orlando attractions and 20 minutes from the Kennedy Space Center. The Brevard Zoo is near by as is the Cocoa Sports Complex. The pool, hot tub, sauna, community grill and tennis court are available if you want to take a break from the beach. The Lori Wilson park just down the beach is a great place for a picnic over looking the ocean or for a walk in the 'jungle'. The Cocoa Beach Pier is about two miles north with great food and excitement and Port Canaveral is just about 5 miles north. There you can see cruise ships as they depart or arrive back in port from several great water front restaurants if you time it right. There is a Publix and Winn Dixie just down the street and Merritt Island is just across the causeway and they have a Walmart, and a mall with a 16 screen theater. There are lots of local and chain restaurants to fill any dining desire. Just past Merritt Island you will find Cocoa which has a number of quaint shops and restaurants that you can enjoy.

Ron Jon's surf shop is right down the street as well as the Cocoa Beach surf shop and both offer lots in interesting beach related merchandise as well as rentals of beach equipment and surf lessons.

There is a gambling boat that launches out of Port Canaveral if that is an activity that you enjoy. The port also offers deep sea fishing charters for individual or group outings. The para sailing boat that calls the port home is also great fun.

If you enjoy a round of golf the Cocoa Beach Country Club (public despite the name) has a course and they have an Olympic size pool as well.

We offer last minute discounts if the unit is available 4 weeks before your visit there is a 5% discount, 3 weeks before your visit there is a 10% discount, 2 weeks before your visit dates there is a 20% discount, 1 week before the visit date there is a 30% discount.

There will be a starter supply of shampoo, soap, bathroom tissue, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and dish liquid. Please note that you will likely need to purchase an additional supply of these items during your stay.

About Philip Gilkison

We are from KY and bought this condo in June of 2013 with hopes of becoming 'Snow Birds' someday. My wife, who is a nurse, is also a teacher, teaching middle school special education, God bless her. We plan to visit Cocoa Beach 3 or 4 times a year and find that it feels like home. We usually drive down and it usually takes about 12 hours. Our 17 year old son loves the beach and the pool. He also loves to kayak. Our daughter is 35 and comes with us some but I am sure will want to use the unit on trips with her friends (should I give her a discount?).

Why Philip Gilkison chose Seacrest Beach

We have found over the years that we much prefer staying in a condo over a hotel. We have vacationed in Florida Condos many times but our favorite spot is Cocoa Beach. After looking at many units with the help of a great realtor, Jennifer McCoy with Remax Elite, we decided that Sandcastles was the best that Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral had to offer. I used to watch I Dream of Jennie when I was younger and appreciate the fact that we are just a short distance from I Dream of Jennie Blvd. I always keep an eye out for fancy bottles buried in the sand when we walk the beach.

What makes this condo unique

We love the spacious interior, the large pool and the hot tub. The seventh floor ocean front location is second to none for ocean/beach views. We also enjoy a short walk to the the local park or to the fitness center across the street. But being right on the beach so that we can go out for an early morning walk and watch the sunrise as we walk along the quiet beach is our very most favorite thing about our vacations to Cocoa Beach. Lori Wilson Park is just about a hundred yards up the beach and it is a great place for a picnic or a walk through the 'jungle'.

Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Sandcastles #706. The building and grounds were clean and well maintained, the condo itself was very nice and spacious, and the ocean view was fantastic. We plan to come back again.

Great stay

Recently spent several nights at Sandcastles and really enjoyed our stay. Our unit 706 was very clean and spacious. The owners had stocked the kitchen with all the needed items and we had more than enough towels including pool towels. We also had access to several beach items such as chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. which was really nice. The pool was extremely clean and the area was very family friendly and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect view of Cocoa Beach.

We shared this Condo Unit for a week, along with another adult couple. We enjoyed our stay and we were very comfortable, since the unit is very large and roomy. We loved the view from our balcony!! We spent alot of time on it, since there was a great breeze from the Ocean and we could watch the Sun come up in the Morning. The kitchen is fully stocked and updated. Hall closet is stocked with beach chairs, coolers, and an umbrella to use on the beach. Bathroom closet is also stocked with plenty of bath towels and beach towels to use. Pool and hot tub are nice. Found a Seafood Restaurant down the road, called Jazzy's, with good food and good prices. There is a Publix Grocery Store close by. Enjoyed spending a day in Cape Canaveral, which is very close. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Owner's Response: Cocoa Beach is a great place for a vacation with friends and Sandcastles is truly the best place in Cocoa Beach to stay. The property is right on the beach, there is lots of parking, the buildings are back off the street to eliminate noise and as stated the units are large. The great kitchen, large walk in closet and separate laundry room are also great features. 706 is a great ocean front unit which we have tried to make into a home away from home for us and our guests. From this review, it sounds like we have succeeded.
