Island Daydreamer at Kingscote

Welcome to Island Daydreamer, located in Kingscote, the main town of Kangaroo Island (known as KI by the locals). Conveniently situated, it serves as a great base to access KI’s best attractions. Minutes from the town centre shopping district and waterfront, its comfortable and modern interior, well equipped kitchen, spacious outdoor patio and beautifully landscaped gardens will appeal equally to families, groups of friends and couples alike. We trust you will enjoy your stay here.

We have endeavoured to create for you a "home away from home". The perfect space to relax and recharge after exploring the island. From the bright and airy interior of the house to the tranquil undercover outdoor patio overlooking the fishpond, lawn and garden, picture yourself enjoying the afternoon breeze with drink in hand whilst firing up the BBQ and planning your next day's activity on the island! For those with kids, your little ones will enjoy the fully enclosed backyard with expansive lawn, cubby house and outdoor games. Unlimited high speed wifi (NBN) with new smart TV available.

Island Daydreamer has only recently been renovated and includes all new furniture and electrical appliances as well as new linen and towels.

The property accommodates up to 7 adults and 1 infant. A travel cot (for infants up to 84cm or 13.5kg) is available on request. Cot mattress, linen, sleeping bag and blanket is available.

Guest access:

Guests will have access to the entire house* and garden (front and back yards) apart from a small number of locked cupboards in hallway, laundry and kitchen where supplies are kept as well as the garage and granny flat behind garage.

*Please note that the base price includes up to 5 adults using Bedroom 1 (1 x Queen) & Bedroom 2 (1 x Queen & 1 x Single). Bedroom 3 (2 x single) is locked by default unless requested or extra guest fee has been paid. Apologies for any inconvenience, however we have had many unauthorised extra guests stay in the past.

We understand you might have a requirement for special bed arrangements such as travelling for work. If this is the case, please contact us to discuss.

Enjoyable Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The accommodation was close to the main services on the island and a good base to explore the rest of the islands locations. The owner of the property was very helpful and responded quickly to our requests. Definitely recommend staying at this place.

Not a Single Problem!

Great for a family

We really enjoyed our stay here and communication from host was prompt when needed. Great space for families , big kitchen and dining table, backyard , can see the silo art from the front yard! Bring your own playmat for children who play on the floor as flooring very cold in winter (we used our picnic rug ). Great they had high chair for us already and a set of kids crockery. Bathroom could have used a deeper scrub but all other areas of the house were neat and tidy including the gardens. Our sons loved the fish in the pond too.

Lovely beach style home in central location

Clean, spacious beach style home in easy distance from Kingscote township. This was a lovely, comfortable home base for us for 3 nights while we explored beautiful Kangaroo Island.

Great Home on Kangaroo Island

The home was spacious and well equipped for our stay. Great backyard space. Beds were comfortable and home was in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the close proximity to small town of Kingscote and the coastline. Its close to some of the vineyards on the island and about 45 mins to an hour and twenty mins to other attractions like the wildlife center or nature preserve. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something in Kingscote area.

Great house for kids. House was better than photos showed. Really great to have tiles through the house too. Washing machine was really handy and the washing powder too. Thanks for a great stay!

Family Holiday House

The house was nice and light with a good sized kitchen and modern furnishings. It had a good sized yard and the kids enjoyed the cubby house. A short drive to the town with a supermarket, shops, cafes and beach. A nice place to stay with the family and convenient with the town closeby. A bit of a drive to get to other parts of the island like Flinders Chase.

Great place to stay

The property was easy to find and there was plenty of off street parking. The property was clean and tidy and very bright and airy. Facilities were of very good condition and the kitchen and furnishing modern and in good condition. We spent a week in the property and were very happy with the facilities and the owner was very helpful and quick to we had any questions. We highly recommend the property.

It is a beautiful and quiet place. We like the backyard most. It is very suitable for a family.

The house is very tiny and the owner is very nice. It is strongly recommended for a whole family with children. The place is close to a food land supermarket and a seafood store. It is convenient if you want to cook yourself.
