About Louise Robson
While I was born in Dallas, Texas, I grew up from the age of four down the highway from the Cottage in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, where my parents own a horse farm. My father taught at Random Lake High School for nearly forty years, so I was exposed to farm work and academia throughout my entire youth. I attended college at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and then Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, earning undergraduate degrees at both. Currently I am a charter pilot for a private aircraft management company in Hong Kong. For the past eight years, I have made the Hong Kong/Macau area my home, but I still come back to Wisconsin to visit my family and friends at least two times a year.
Louise Robson purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Louise Robson chose Sheboygan County
My youth and many vacations were spent up the lake from this Cottage at my grandparents lake house. It was at their lake house that I came to love Lake Michigan and the experience of that quiet and peaceful living. I had been looking to buy a home that had the same feeling as my grandparents home. On the lake, of course, but also something that was obviously taken care of and loved by a family who grew up there and spent countless memories visiting, just as I had during my life. The location was a big factor also. If you travel up and down Lake Michigan you will not find the same beaches. The sand in this area of the lake is amazing. Soft and delicate but not dusty. We used to call it 'squeaky sand' growing up because if you quickly drag your feet in the hot sand it will squeak with each step. Also, since I grew up in the area I know all there is to offer and that makes it much easier to provide the best experience for those who come here to visit.
What makes this Cottage unique
Living on the lake is unique. And while I have invested in adding the technology that has become the norm in our world, there is still a feeling of a simpler time when walking around the property. It was built in the 1940s, along with many of the surrounding properties. It has a history which shows its character and provides a unique insight to how life was on the lake 60 years ago. The joys of living on this lake are big – from its intimacy to its power. Come and enjoy this lake Cottage and find out your reasons.

Perfect wintertime romantic getaway!
Wintertime in Wisconsin is no excuse not to rent this lovely cottage on the lakefront. Obviously a whole different experience than summertime, but even better. Perfect location for a quiet, peaceful, romantic hanging out with my wife. We saw one person and one dog the entire stay. The reservation process was easy and quick. Louise responded immediately with details to reserve and subsequent details for arrival and check in. Directions to the cottage were easy to follow. The directions to keys were spot on and made our early evening arrival (almost dark in December) less stressful. Cottage description and pictures were accurate. Grab a throw / blanket, glass of wine and curl up in a window seat for a never ending, constantly changing show of the waves crashing on the shore. The bed was comfortable and directly in front of window facing lake. In the morning, grab your coffee and stay in bed to watch the sunrise over the water - simply spectacular. Thank you for sharing your cottage,
Quiet and Cozy
We stayed here for five nights with our two fur babies and had a great time! Being able to bring the dogs along was the main reason that we chose this location. We wanted to be close to things to do during the day and on the water. This place offers both! The weather was a little cooler than we hoped for but we were still able to enjoy time outside. On the first night there we quickly found out just how dark it actually was "away from it all"....not enough outdoor lighting for us! Be sure to bring a good flashlight! And we were unable to easily find the light switch for the laundry room. (Hint: It's behind the laundry room door by the garage door.) Again, needed a flashlight for putting our clothes in to wash and dry until we found the switch on our last night! Ha! Although we were able to eventually figure out the SMART tv, we might suggest having a little more detailed intructions as to how to watch tv. Our mom and dad would not have been able to figure it out...and they don't travel with a teenager.
Overall, for the price and the location we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others! Thanks for sharing your little piece of this world!
Nice cottage right on the lake!
The view of the lake from inside is great and even better from the fire pit/beach area.
Great location with a 14 million acre backyard pool
The late September weather was warm and dry which helped an already perfect week at a well equipped cottage. We enjoyed the hospitality of the owners, the privacy of the area around the cottage and everything that the owners included in the house. We could not have picked a better lake rental.
Property is very clean, has everything you need for fantastic vacation. Love area, love property. Had great family vacation.
Perfect sized cabin right on Lake Michigan
We had an excellent time at this quiet little cabin. We loved laying in the hammock while listening to the waves crash against the beach. A nice fire in the evening to relax and sip a cocktail by was just lovely.
THE COTTAGE is located less than three miles off highway 43 but has the feeling of a deep woods cabin. The drive in from the highway is farmland and forests of cedar, pine, and beech trees, offering the perfect buffer for complete relaxation. The Cottage is accessed by an unpaved, private drive. Neighboring properties are nestled quietly between the trees. THE BEACH in this area of Lake Michigan is known for its soft sand and large expanse. The lake breezes keep the temperature consistent and cool compared to inland. BESIDES OUR WORLD-RENOWED GOLF COURSES of Whistling Straights, Blackwolf Run, and The Bull at Pinehurst Farms, this area has many summertime festivals and local annual events. SUMMERFEST, is the world's largest music festival, held annually in late June and early July, just a 45 minute drive away in Milwaukee. ROAD AMERICA in Elkhart Lake (an easy 30-minute drive) hosts a number of events throughout the year. CIVIL WAR WEEK-END is an annual event in nearby Greenbush that brings the history of the American Civil War to life. Held the last weekend in September, Civil War Weekend is two action-filled days of battle re-enactments, military drills, medical care situations, period music and food, demonstrations, and more. The weekend spectacle involves more than 500 re-enactors. And each year features a different historic scenario crucial to the outcome of the war. OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND! Sailing classes, bicycle riding, snow shoeing (seasonal, of course), horseback riding (weather permitting) kayak rentals, jet ski rental, basketball, volleyball on and off the beach, golfing, parks and playgrounds...there is something for everyone. We can even find you a personal yoga instructor to perform a private class on the beach...just ask us in advance for availability! Beyond sports we can steer you to wine tours, sailing events, sports events such as the Brewers or Green Bay Packers games, hot air balloon rides and almost everything else you can think of! There is even a great local airport where you could take an introduction flight and experience controlling an aircraft yourself. Many activities can be set up quickly but it is very helpful if you let us know what you would like to do and we can find tickets or reservations in advance to make your vacation as smooth as possible. Of course, if tranquility and relaxation are your purpose then feel comforted knowing the Cottage is set up for just that. Outdoor furniture on the back patio offers a shaded beach view. The grilling area is perfect for a slow cookout of your favorite meal while enjoying the beach views. The beds are soft and warm. During the winter months you are invited to enjoy the fireplace to complete the cottage ambiance. For leisure time indoors there is a selection of board games for both kids and adults. The HD TV offers HD cable and a premium selection of channels, including HBO. There is a 20mbps internet connection which should take care of the entire family's needs. At the moment there is no video game console hooked up but you are more than welcome to bring you console from home. Let us know what you're interested in and we'll help make it happen!
