The perfect place for get togethers, family reunions, weddings, company retreats, and more! This house sleeps 7 guests but the property sleeps 61 in total!
The space
Nestled among old-growth redwoods, the Sequoia House offers three private bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Two bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill–style bathroom, while the third bedroom features two twin beds and its own full bathroom with a bathtub. The living area can accommodate one additional guest. Enjoy the wraparound deck and outdoor kitchen surrounded by the redwoods.
Each house has a full kitchen with everything you need from cooking supplies to dish soap and sponges. The houses are well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissue paper, toilet paper, paper towels, dish towels, bath towels and lake towels. We also provide the firewood for your wood burning stoves, and there is one or more wood burning stove in each house.
Guest access
You have access to about 300 acres of wild old growth redwood forest. Centrally located is an 18 acre lake. We have canoes and kayaks for you to use during y our stay. There are also hiking trails and the most popular is the 3 mile loop called the Lake Trail. You also have access to a tennis court onsite, outdoor volleyball net (acts as a badminton net as well), ping pong table, outdoor patio with built in BBQ, an outdoor pizza oven, and a kids play set with swings and a small slide.
Other things to note
We do provide kayaks and canoes for your convenience, as well as life jackets in adult and children sizes. If you have your own floating device you would like to bring and use, you may but we require that you sanitize the floating device before it enters the water to avoid cross contamination from other bodies of water. We also allow for you to bring fishing gear, and mountain bikes. The Lake hold small mouth bass, and bluegill. We have a catch and release policy. The location is very private and it takes about 45 minutes on a 9 mile dirt road. It is a majestic drive that is very meditative - you will be prepped and ready to relax as soon as you arrive. There is also free wifi in each of the houses so you will still be able to connect once you are here in the great outdoors.
