  • Relaxation!

"We had a very relaxing and peaceful time at The Bluffs. The house was comfortable and nicely appointed. The location on the northern end of The Sea Ranch made for a short walk to Gualala Beach. With the winter storms, we had a good vantage of the weather and the sea. When it was time to leave, we weren't ready to return to the real world, and were able to stay another night! Great vacation."

  • The perfect place to relax and enjoy all the natural beauty of the area.

"Redwood Cottage is a beautiful sweet place to spend as much time as you have available. The skylight over the bed looks out on towering redwoods; the kitchen is well equipped; there is a wonderful shower and jacuzzi; the cottage is warm, inviting and well cared for; there are forest trails to explore; and it is within convenient walking distance to the beach. The owners provide lots of information about the area, places to explore, and things to do. Enjoy -- it is a perfect place to return to many times."

  • Comfortable & Clean!!!

"My husband and I have been traveling to Sea Ranch for over 10 years and we typically rent a home through Sea Ranch Escape. This time we thought it would be fun to travel with our 6 year old Doberman. It was her first trip to the ocean! We were looking for a clean, pet friendly home. We decided to book Sailfish because of the reviews and I'm so glad we did. The home is exactly as described - it's one of the cleanest homes I've been in. You would never know that a dog has been in the home, besides the Igloo dog house hidden under the deck. One thing we couldn't find was a poop-scooper or shovel to clean up after our girl. We ended up being creative with a cardboard box. The kitchen was well stocked with standard spices, flour, oil, etc. The appliances (coffee machine, toaster) were top of the line. The bed was firm and comfortable. Everything worked well and the instructions for cleaning and operation of the home were easy to find and read. We did have to bother Christine once by text message, and she responded within a few minutes with the answer to our question. We did a lot of hiking, and ventured up into the forested side of Hwy 1. I would highly recommend using the Sea Ranch trail maps in the binder. There are a lot of great trails on that side of Hwy 1 and the map was helpful. Overall, this was a comfortable, clean home. I highly recommend it!"

  • Just what we needed!

"This was our first time to the Sea Ranch and we fell in love! The Lighthouse cabin was perfect for our family of four, but could definitely accommodate a few more. We were actually happy to have a day with it pouring rain so that we had an excuse to stay in and enjoy the quiet cabin, big picture window views and fireplace all day long. When we did get out, we loved the short walk to the beach through the trees, the adventures climbing the rocks to find new coves and following the trails through the meadows. We also took the drive out to the lighthouse, which was beautiful. The house isn't oceanfront, but the way the house is situated with the big windows in the back of the house that look out over the open meadow and the ocean views in the distance, make this place memorable. We used the hot-tub each day and felt like we were the only people there! Only reason not giving it 5 stars is because the house wasn't ready when we arrived after check-in time, which through us off after the long drive. But we learned this was an issue with the previous people leaving late, and Jami, who was cleaning, was very sweet and helpful and gave us directions to enjoy some time exploring while she finished up. Gordon, the owner, was friendly and responsive in all our communication as well. Also wanted to say that as people not bringing pets, we were a little concerned about this being a pet-friendly place. However, besides the basket they have available with dog blankets/towels for those who need them, you would never know this is a pet-friendly house. Furniture all in good condition and no pet odor at all."
