We love Albuquerque and everything that makes this city unique—from its historic neighborhoods and Southwest architecture to the food, art, mountains and incredible New Mexico sunsets.

As hosts, our goal is simple: to give guests a comfortable, thoughtfully prepared place where they can relax and enjoy Albuquerque like a local. We appreciate the little things that make a stay easier, so we’ve tried to create a space that feels welcoming, functional and easy to settle into.

Whether you’re here to explore Old Town, enjoy the outdoors, visit family, work remotely or simply experience New Mexico for the first time, we hope Casita Gold feels like your own Albuquerque home base.

We chose historic Huning Castle because it offers something that’s surprisingly hard to find in Albuquerque: a quiet residential neighborhood that’s also close to many of the city’s best places to explore.

The neighborhood is known for its tree-lined streets, historic homes and central location between Old Town and Downtown. From Casita Gold, you can walk to Downtown, Tingley Beach and the Rio Grande Bosque trails, with Old Town, Route 66, Sawmill Market, museums and the ABQ BioPark nearby.

We especially love being close to the Bosque. It’s easy to spend the morning walking or biking along the Rio Grande, explore Old Town in the afternoon, grab dinner nearby and come home to a peaceful neighborhood at the end of the day.

For us, Huning Castle offers the best of both worlds: a neighborhood feel with easy access to the Albuquerque experiences visitors come here to enjoy.

The property is especially well suited for couples and solo travelers, with a comfortable king bedroom, full kitchen, dedicated living and dining spaces, fast Wi-Fi, Smart TV, washer and dryer, and a queen sleeper sofa when additional sleeping space is needed.

What really makes Casita Gold special, though, is its location. You can start the morning with a walk toward the Rio Grande and Bosque trails, explore Old Town or Downtown during the day, and return to a quiet residential neighborhood in the evening.
