Host was proactive on communication which made checking in easy. Once we arrived, we found a few issues with property and their responses were prompt. The property needs some upkeep work done, and the host did make some repairs during our stay due to our request and the safety for our children. I don't feel I should have had to make that request personally, but in fairness they did respond and react.I understand that a cabin in the woods is going to have more nature than say a house in a subdivision, but I would recommend that the owners/management company do a deep clean so they can avoid having rodents leave behind droppings. Also, I'd audit who does the cleanings as mouse droppings should be removed before the next guests arrive. We did buy mouse traps and no mice were caught during our stay. The management company also did have pest control stop by and they put out traps and bait. The cabin is a bit small, but the propane fireplace puts out some serious heat and makes the living area nice and warm in the cool mornings. The cornhole boards and massive number of bags gave the kids something to do outside since we were in a burn ban. Fire ring looked nice and the Adirondack chairs were nice. There is a lot of places to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors.Lastly, I do appreciate the rental property having additional chemicals for the hot tub to keep the water fresh and clean.
