The property, Fourdeck and Aft, are a house and studio combined complex. Fourdeck comprises three bedrooms, and two full baths with fully equipped kitchen/dining facilities, and cathedral ceiling seating area with fireplace, large flatscreen TV, and loft. Aft, the studio, has a large great room/seating space, flat screen TV, wet bar, sleeping space for up to six people (two twin over queen spacious bunk beds), and large bathroom with double sink, two showers, and a single toilet.

The complex features a 1.5 acre secluded setting, with large yard, spacious wrap-around deck and firepit with seating area, ideal for entertaining and outdoor activities (a favorite is croquet!). One of Island's most desirable beaches, Surfside's Fisherman's beach, is a 5 minute walk down the footpath from the house.

Fourdeck: 'Sunset Cove' is the master suite with a queen bed, private access to the deck, and bathroom with shower. The 'Honeymoon Suite' is the junior suite with a queen bed and private access to the deck. The 'Nursery' is the third bedroom, with two twin beds. The full bathroom has a combination shower/tub. The kitchen is well-stocked with expansive bar/seating area. The living area is cozy yet spacious with a fireplace, TV/entertainment center, and plenty of books and games.

Aft is an adjacent studio dwelling. It is equipped with 2 oversized twin over queen built-in bunk beds, a large bathroom space (2 showers, large double sink, 1 toilet), large living area with cozy seating for 6, wall mounted TV, and wet bar (with sink, small refrigerator) and stools, and its own deck.

All linens and beach towels are included in the rental. Fourdeck and Aft both come equipped with full-size washers and dryers. Additionally, there is an outdoor shower, gas grill, and beach chairs. The property is easily accessible via the bike path, car or public shuttle. View gorgeous sunsets from the decks.

Even if your booking request is accepted through VRBO, it is not fully confirmed until the rental agreement has been reviewed and signed. Instructions to complete the agreement will be provided immediately after booking.
Surfside is a favorite area of Nantucket for vacation renters because of its easily accessible beaches and its proximity to Town and Mid-Island conveniences. This family-friendly area offers a laid back summer vacation on the south shore beaches and a three mile bike path - the perfect distance for young children to ride. Many homes in Surfside enjoy water views and peaceful, woodsy surroundings. A rear access road from Surfside to Nantucket Memorial Airport is also convenient for those arriving by air.


Beaches

Just a few miles south of Town, this wide beach offers plenty of room for sunbathing and has a lifeguarded swimming area. There is also ample vehicle parking, bike racks, bus service, bathroom facilities, and the Surfside Beach Shack that sells food and rents beach chairs and umbrellas. This is the only beach on the south shore that boasts this many amenities. A few smaller beaches are located nearby. Fisherman’s & Stones Beach can be found between Surfside and Nobadeer beaches and are favored with locals, however, there are no amenities and they can have strong surf. Nobadeer Beach allows four-wheel drive vehicles to drive on the beach with an Over Sand Permit and it’s a great spot to see airplanes flying overhead since it is close to the airport.

Restaurants

In addition to the Surfside Beach Shack, 45 Surfside Bakery and Cafe offers breakfast and lunch and can be found right along the bike path. They are especially known for their delicious pastries. Yummy is also located on the bike path and is a great place to stop for an ice cream to or from the beach.
