The very first thing that you will notice about the property is its unmistakable curb appeal. It is a historical property with all of the architectural charm that one expects of a classic, early Jupiter pioneer residence. From the moment you enter the property, you know that this will be a special vacation. Continuing around the house to the water you will see the charming white picket fence and colorful plantings. They lead the way to a spacious front deck that is the perfect place to sit and bird watch, admire the boats, or those practicing yoga on a paddle board, or kayakers. Enjoy a morning coffee or evening night cap.
When you enter inside, you will be amazed by the large, solid heart-pine timbers that have been left observable in the architectural beam ceiling. Special care has been taken to accommodate a living, eating, and sleeping layout that is ample for one or two guests. This smart, open floor plan with private bathroom is a clever use of space utilizing a wall bed unit. Just pull down and sleep! The comfortable queen-sized bed is a real space saver that easily converts living area into a bedroom.

As soon as I saw this property I knew I wanted to stay here. It was the perfect mix of size and location for my girlfriend and I for our weekend getaway. Before we arrived I didn't realize how perfect of a location it actually was. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. U-tiki, guanbanas, and the marina where we fished and did shark diving from! The cottage itself was perfect. The bed was soft and comfy the kitchen had a good amount of stuff if you wanted to cook a meal while you were there. The dock provided a little escape and allowed me to wet a line as well as put in our paddleboards for a cruise around the intercostal waterways. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be right in the middle of the fun to be had in Jupiter and is traveling on a bit of a budget.
We stayed at Anna's cottage for 2 weeks, ending January 31, 2016. We LOVED it....and Anna! The cottage is sweet, has everything you need and is right on the water. It is cozy and quiet, yet close to everything.
My husband fished from the dock ....he didn't catch anything, but he lost several and broke a lot of fishing line. He was determined to catch one, but you know how fishing goes!
We rode our bikes all over; there are lots of bike paths. We also took our bikes to 2 different nearby State Parks.....very nice.
We walked every night. There are many good restaurants within walking distance, so we'd walk at night, stop in here and there and have a drink or a munchie. We tried almost all of the restaurants...all very good. Several places have music at night so we loved that, too.
The beach is a just walk away from the cottage. You can walk or ride over to DuBois Park, which is beautiful, and then cross a walkway and you are at one beach. You can also drive a mile or so to Carlin Park and the long expanse of Jupiter Beach.
If you go, check out the lighthouse and take the tour....what a view! Also, go to Jupiter Island and Blowing Rocks Preserve.....so beautiful.
We will definitely make Anna's cottage a stop next year...probably for 2 weeks again....we can't wait!
Had a lovely time at Anna's studio cottage despite the less-than-cooperative January weather. With so much wind, cloudiness, and rain during our two-week stay, we were a bit concerned that we would wind up with cabin fever in a one-room apartment, but not so! The covered outside sitting area allowed for us to enjoy many meals outdoors with a view of the river and is perfectly positioned to be sheltered from the north wind. Also, we were able to sit nearly daily down on the private dock most evenings, watching the pelicans, osprey, and herons fish for their suppers. Her section of the river is relatively calm and sheltered from the wind as well.
How Anna has arranged and equipped the apartment is quite clever and impressive and made for great self-sufficiency for meal prep, important to us as enthusiastic cooks. She was a gracious, friendly, and accommodating host, checking in with us periodically to see that our needs were being met. She also loaned us her classic old-fashioned bikes for making a trip along the Ocean Drive alongside the beaches.
The cottage is very close to Dubois Park, where we were able to find a sheltered spot to sit on sunny days and swim in the inlet at high tide when the fresh, clear, warm water flows in from the ocean. All in all this charming cottage in its lovely setting and good location provided a nice place for our winter vacation.
A couple travel tips: although it was a bit of a drive, the West Palm Beach Green Market on Saturday morning was awesome for finding fresh fruits and vegetables and local eggs - tasty treats there, too, and well worth the drive. Also, snorkeling at high tide off Peanut Island was great - even in January - and the water was warm enough for a very pleasant swim. (Peanut Island is accessible by Captain Joe's water taxi for $10/ person RT.)
My husband and I just got back from a five day stay at the cottage and it was perfect. Anna is a great host, very helpful and accommodating. We were able to dock our 18 foot boat easily at the dock in the backyard. The cottage has everything you would need for a beach vacation and is very well kept and clean. The property itself has a great tropical feel with palm trees and an awesome water view. The cottage is in a great location. We were able to walk to almost every restaurant we went to, as well as the beach and parks. We were also a short boat ride from many restaurants and attractions. We enjoyed visiting restaurants like U-Tiki, Dive Bar, Dune Dogs, Calvaeras, Guanabanas, and Schooners. My husband actually had one of his favorite meals right across the street from the cottage at the Burger Shack located at the mini golf course. They have great burgers and shakes! We also enjoyed walking around Harbourside Place and swimming at Dubois Park. If you are a boater, Jupiter offers some great well marked waterways with small beach areas to stop and visit while on the boat. This was a great trip for the two of us and we highly recommend staying at Anna's cottage. We will be back!
My husband and I stayed at Anna's guesthouse cottage while we enjoyed Jupiter's diving and fishing. This cottage was just perfect for us! Enough can not be said of the location. It can not get any better...we were minutes from our charters, blowing rock preserve, and the beach. Anna greeted us personally and offered lots of helpful suggestions for restaurants and directions. The cottage is very clean, had all the essentials we needed, and I was impressed by the murphy bed--very comfortable and the sheets were so soft! We also enjoyed the view and the little patio gave us a space to clean and dry out our dive gear, which is a priceless commodity when you are a diver! We will definitely be staying here again. I am not typically a review-writer, so the fact that I am taking the time to write this says a lot!!
This was exactly what we were looking for. We booked a last minute Memorial Weekend getaway and were very happy with our choice. The cottage is very charming and had everything we needed. The owner was extremely accommodating, pleasant, and helpful. We were able to dock our 18 ft boot at the dock with no issues. We toured the inlet, stopped at restaurants for dinner, took a trip to Peanut Island which was amazing, and were able to walk to Dubois Park and swim on the beach with our toddler. We will definitely come back again.
