House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 7
High up on a hill, with sweeping views of Agate Beach southward, sits this modern and spacious three bedroom Newport vacation home for seven. Perfect for families and very dog friendly, at this home you'll enjoy a quiet, neighborhood location just east of Highway 101, and only a mile and a half from the Yaquina Head Lighthouse.
The main floor has a large living room, dining area, and kitchen that are open and spacious - perfect for socializing or entertaining. Windows line the wall for great views of the Pacific Ocean and sliding glass doors lead out to the deck for an even more impressive scene. The ceilings are tall and slanted, and there's a lot of cozy furniture for lounging and gathering around to play a board game or plan out the next day's adventures.
On rainy days, if you're not storm watching out the windows, there's a flat screen TV with cable, a DVD player, VCR, BluRay, and a collection of DVDs and videos to pick from. Just pop in your favorite movie, make some popcorn, and have an epic movie marathon. A built-in, nicely padded window seat is the perfect spot for a hot mug of tea and a good book in the afternoon, or even a fun bed for a child to sleep on.
At meal times, there's a space for everyone at the table and even additional seating at the breakfast bar if needed. The kitchen is quite spacious and modern, so there's room for lots of kitchen helpers while making pasta, soups, or even freshly-baked cookies. All the appliances you'd expect are here, as well as a coffee grinder, French press, and a blender. On the deck, you'll also find a charcoal grill, as well as patio furniture for dining al fresco on dry, sunny afternoons.
On the main level, there are two bedrooms - both with queen sized beds and TVs. There's also a full bathroom on this main floor. The master bedroom takes up the entire upper level and has a king bed and a majestic view of the ocean. There's a wall mounted, flat screen TV, a beautiful sleigh-style wooden bed frame, a small sitting area with a table, and tall, slanted ceilings. This home will comfortably sleep six guests (though up to seven are welcome!) and up to three dogs, though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer, hot tub, WiFi, garage parking for one car, a ping pong table, and dog beds for your furry companions. Outside, the yard is not fenced, but the home is on a very lightly-traveled road and is safe for supervised kids and dogs to play.
In the mornings, maybe after having a cup of French press coffee out on the deck, head to Agate Beach for miles and miles of beach combing, kite flying, or just relaxing on a big beach blanket. For a little exploration, it's a short drive to Yaquina Head Natural Area for hiking trails, tide pools, and Cobble Beach, with its shoreline compiled of millions of round basalt rocks, a lighthouse interpretative center, and glimpses of harbor seals and nesting sea birds. Whales can even be spotted during their annual migrations - late fall/early winter and early spring.
On rainy days, you may want to plan a trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. A short five mile drive from Bella Vista, visitors young and old can experience the mysteries of the ocean, including Passages of the Deep - a series of underwater walkways that allow sharks, stingrays, and other creatures to swim above and around you. Right near the aquarium, there's also the Rogue Ale Public House for pints of Dead Guy Ale, pub food, and even a tour of the brewery.
Back across the Yaquina Bay Bridge, the downtown Bayfront area has numerous galleries, shops, bars with live music, and even a Ripley's Believe it or Not museum. Observe the crew of M.A.S.H. and Marilyn Monroe in wax form, then head down the road for some of the area's best and freshest seafood at Local Ocean Seafoods. If you don't want to eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant, you can even pick up some seafood at their market to bring back and cook at home.
Whether you come to Newport in the bright, sunny summer or in the colder, rainier months of winter, you'll love this spacious, well-appointed vacation home for your central Oregon Coast getaway.

This place was great, very close to Yaquina Head.
Overall this was a great place to stay and all 6 of us were very comfortable.
bella vistas house
great location to access tide poools lighthouse and beach. nice decor and really enjoyed hottub.
Better than the reviews
Overall I found the house better than expected .
I read the reviews before making the decision and
Let my daughter make the choice which house to stay in .
The house was clean and in good shape and the couches appeared to be either new or in excellent shape which is something I noticed others had complained about . The place is private yet there is a couple houses near by but nothing that concerned me .
I'm giving this a 4 only because you can't rate anything as perfect .
I have zero complaints
We stayed in this house last year and specifically sought this house again this year. This year we had family with us and all enjoyed the stay.
We hope to "come home" again next year.
The kitchen and master bedroom were quite nice at this house. The couches were very worn and need replaced. The toilets are so low I thought I was going to fall down every time I went to use them. Deck railing is wobbly and there boards that are getting soft. The road getting here is crazy steep.
We're very sorry the furniture wasn't in prime condition. The property manager is working with the owner on replacing the couches. This winter the deck will be improved and expanded. Thank you.
Okay but has conditions
Lots of cobwebs everywhere in the house. When we arrived there was a lot of fruit flies inside. We had to create a makeshift fly catcher for them. The house is pet friendly (dog cage inside garage) but you can tell dogs and cats were in the house. The sofas need to be replaced ASAP. One was has been sunken in so much that you can see the bottom of it. The other one is completely stained and we used the kid's bed (in the living room) to cover it. The master bed needed to be flipped (which we did) as it's been sunken in as well. The upstairs can get quite hot so keep the ceiling fan running throughout the day.
The deck has two parts, the one off the dining room is angled but still safe. The BBQ is here as well so its awkward. Step in bath downstairs but only a shower stall for the master bedroom and its super tight in there. The patio furniture on the deck (in pictures) does not exist there, its just 3 mix match chairs.
The good points, big TV, efficient stove and double oven. Hot tub was set to the right temperature.
