Space 2,300 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

4 Bedroom, 3 Bath 2300 Sq Ft . Sleeps 12. Great Views & Wild Life At Your Door.

Our yard is literally millions of acres of pristine wilderness. We are the last power pole in our tiny neighborhood. Our driveway is off a gravel road and the tundra comes up to our door which attracts lots of Moose, Fox, Caribou, Lynx, Snowshoe Hares & last year we saw our first Wolf in the yard.

We have great wildflowers in the yard in June & July and you can pick blueberries right out our front door in August & September. The views of Mt. Healy & the Northern Alaska Range are spectacular.

You stay at The Denali Park View House for the sense of truly being in the Alaska Wilderness, yet you are only 1-mile off The Parks Hwy, with all the creature comforts of a modern home.

With all Brand new pillow top mattresses and newly remodeled bedrooms and bathrooms you will feel right at home. We have Direct TV in the living room with a new HDTV and high speed wireless internet throughout the house. AT&T 4g network provides a strong signal.

Other amenities include: washer & dryer, dishwasher, an outdoor BBQ, fire pit, Ping Pong Table & an Elliptical exercise machine.

The living room, kitchen & dining room have an open floor plan with spectacular views. There is a full bath off the living room.

The bedrooms are all down the hall so people in the living area do not disturb people in their rooms.

Downstairs is the master bedroom with a pillow top Queen Bed, bunk beds and a large private bathroom with a Jacuzzi Bathtub and separate large shower (sleeps 1-4).

The other downstairs room has a pillow top King bed (sleeps 1-2) and spectacular views.

Upstairs there is a common bathroom with a shower tub/combo.

One upstairs room has a queen pillow top bed and a bunk bed with spectacular mountain views (room sleeps 1-4).

Also upstairs is a private room with a queen pillow top bed (sleeps 1-2).

It's a 10 minute walk to Otto lake which has a playground, fishing and swimming. You can rent a boat or bicycle from Denali Outdoor Center. They also offer White Water Rafting.

Black Diamond resort is also a 10 minute walk. They have a great restaurant along with a 9 hole golf course & a miniature golf course. They also offer ATV tours and wagon ride dining.

There are miles and miles of walking and biking trails right out our front door.

The truth of the matter is you rent our home to be with your family and friends and to have a truly Alaskan Experience with all the creature comforts you'd expect.

There is also a 2-story guest cabin on our property that sleeps 4 (VRBO 501627). Our other neighbors are close by but you can't see them because we are nestled in the woods.

We really hope you enjoy our home. It's the real Alaskan Experience.

Our calendars are always up to date. You can click the “Book Now” button on the VRBO website and book and pay for your reservation online.

We are located 1-mile off the George Parks Hwy (3), 10-miles North of Denali National Park’s only entrance Road.

It will take you 10-15 minutes to drive to the Park.

Our property is a 5 hour drive from Anchorage or a 2 hour drive from Fairbanks.

We have 4 VRBO’s in Denali (,,, and and pride ourselves on your group having a fantastic experience at our properties.

Check in 4pm. Check out 11am.

We will email you driving directions and key code for entry 30 days prior to your arrival.

Access to our property is via paved road except for the driveways which are maintained gravel. Use of gravel driveways does not violate your rental car agreement.

We collect 100% payment at time of booking. We will refund 75% if you cancel 90 days prior to your reservation. If you cancel with less than 90 days’ notice we refund 75% for the nights the unit is re-rented to another party.

A $100 Refundable Housekeeping Deposit is required. Wash your dishes (you may put them in the dishwasher and leave it running), take all your garbage out to the dumpster and clean up after yourselves and you will get your deposit returned within 1 week of your stay,

The $75 Cleaning Fee pays the housekeepers. When you see how clean our home is upon arrival you will know this fee is worth it.

We highly recommend you buy your groceries and supplies in Anchorage or Fairbanks. Denali has limited goods and is very expensive. We recommend Fred Meyer, Safeway or Walmart for Groceries.

We provide all linens, towels, hand soap, toilet paper, dish soap, sponges, dishwasher soap, trash bags & paper towels.

The coffee maker does not need filters.

We also supply coffee, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner & bath soap. There is also 1 hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Our kitchens are well equipped with everything you need to prepare and serve your meals.

We supply the propane for the outdoor BBQ.

You need to supply your own firewood for the outdoor fire pit. You can by bundles of wood when you buy groceries.

You can drink our water. We do not have recycling. We supply an outdoor dumpster for garbage.

95% of people who come to Denali only ride the bus 1 day. We recommend booking your bus trip well in advance. There is only 1 road so a more expensive bus takes the same route as the least expensive bus. We recommend taking the bus to Eielson Visitor Center. It’s an 8-9 hour day and you see the best part of the park. Most people don’t get off the bus except at rest stops. You can get off and hike around and wait for the next bus. If you have a large group you all may not be able to get on the next bus and there may not be seats together.

You can access the 1st 15 miles of Denali National Park’s Road with your rental vehicle and there are marked hiking trails and a visitor center.

It’s important to remember the beauty and wilderness does not end at the park border. We can highly recommend 1 day hiking out of the house, having a picnic and enjoying your family and friends. All our properties are on the park boundary and you have traveled a long way. 1 day enjoying the surroundings does not cost anything and can be quite rewarding (You are as likely to view wildlife from our living room as you are inside the park). You are living in the middle of interior Alaska.

As far as all the other organized activities in our area we recommend you book those upon arrival depending on weather and your group’s desires. Rafting, flight seeing, horseback riding, biking, golf, fishing, ATV, Jeep Tours and much more are all available and all their brochures are displayed in our homes. They are all nearby and most will pick you up at our homes.

You may call or text my (Dave) cell phone anytime 970-729-0101 or land line at 907-683-0100. I’m happy to answer any questions or make suggestions. My number 1 priority is to make sure your group enjoys their stay in Denali and at our homes.

Great Time!

  • 5 of 5

This was a super house. Fantastic views of the mountains we never got tired looking at. House had plenty of room for our group of 7 adults. Lots of towels, blankets, dishes, etc. Very well equipped for large groups. Very clean and had essentials such as soaps, dish washing lotion, shampoo, etc. Lots of good reference books available. Super location as quiet but close to Healy. Will definitely stay here again.

Split Level Home - really split

  • 2 of 5

The view from the property was amazing - lots of wildlife. The house is split level - up down - up down - toilet up about 3 steps!!??? Structure of the house makes no sense. The view is wonderful!

Owner's Response: I'm sorry you showed up with a broken foot. Your review is totally unfair and not representative of my home. I encourage everybody to read the other reviews. What makes this house special is the privacy and the views. The fact that all the bedrooms are down the hall and away from the kitchen and dining area is an amazing well thought out design. You can sleep in your bedroom and not be disturbed by the others in your group who may be enjoying the living room area. One of the 3 bathrooms has 2 steps! 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs with a full bath. My family prides itself on giving our guests an amazing experience. The home really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere Alaska, yet you're less than 1 mile from the Parks Highway. I always answer my phone 970-729-0101. Any time a guest has an issue I respond immediately (FYI 99% of my guests never contact me with an issue). But to be clear, I'm always nearby and available if a issue arises. Please don't be discouraged by this senseless 2 star review. I VRBO all over the world and my goal for my home is for it to be the perfect Denali Rental. If you have any questions please phone me directly at 970-729-0101. Happy Travels, Dave, Denise & Carissa

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place to stay - clean, quiet and well laid out. Loved the large windows looking out at the mountains. We saw a moose and her calf in the driveway. It rained a lot during our stay and things were really muddy so we did our hiking on the gravel roads - no traffic, easy hiking with great views. It's a 10 minute drive to Denali NP and even less into Healy and several restaurants. I would highly recommend this house - the location/setting is perfect.

Owner's Response: The park views and the mountains are what made us fall in love with this house. Staying right on the Park Boundary is truly a special experience. Sitting at the dining room table and enjoying the scenery never gets old. Some summers we get rain other summers we don't. When the trails are dry there is endless hiking right out my front door. Safe Travels and thanks for the review!

Do it!

  • 5 of 5

We had 2 children with us and the ping pong table was a hit. Denali was just ok, but the house was awesome! It is off the beaten path but close to things and the park. It has amazing views.

Owner's Response: Tania, So glad you enjoyed your stay. It is so nice to be 10 miles away from the park entrance road and the hustle and bustle of Glitter Gulch. We fell in love with this home for the magnificent views and the abundance of wildlife. I think there were more moose in our yard this summer than ever before. Thanks, Dave

Simply Awesome House

  • 5 of 5

2 families with kids traveling together and this house was perfect. Great Views, saw moose in the driveway twice. Great walking trails and blueberry picking right out the front door. We really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere yet we were near all the action. Nearby Otto lake was awesome. We rented bikes, kayaks and went on a ATV tour and walked to all of these activities from the house. We also fired 9 holes at the golf course and had a great meal in their restaurant (we walked to the golf as well). 10 minute drive to the National Park. 3 days wasn't enough. We never saw the owner Dave, but he was quick to text back with great suggestions. I would highly recommend this beautiful clean home. The views are worth mentioning one more time. We VRBO all over the world, this place should be 6 stars.

Owner's Response: Kerry, Thanks for you review. Our house is really special to us and we are happy to share it with families from all over the world. I'm bias but you can't find a better location. Less than 1 mile off the highway and 10 miles from the park road. Yet you feel so secluded. The Wifi and 4g cell service works great and we have Direct TV and a washer and dryer. Those mountain views never get old. Come see us again. Dave

Great location near Denali. Lovely home with nice appliances.

  • 5 of 5

The eight of us enjoyed the house. We made good use of the washer and dryer, cooked breakfasts before heading in to Denali for the day, and enjoyed playing cards in the living while the daylight waned (not until after midnight!). Highly recommended.

Owner's Response: Linda, My family is so happy you enjoyed your stay. All our appliance are fairly new and we always make sure the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare a feast. We also provide a propane BBQ on the deck. It is the perfect family house with 4 private bedrooms and 3 baths. Everybody loves the new washer and dryer. Safe Travels, Dave
