Beautiful 3br 2ba Home With Gorgeous Mountain Views At The Top Of The Cove

We welcome you to our little piece of Paradise!!

This inviting and private 1360 square foot home is located on a large cul-de-sac lot near the top of Cathedral City Cove. The Cove, a beautiful hillside neighborhood, is well known for it’s star-gazing skies (no street lights allowed) and incredibly tranquil and quiet nights. There are 3 beautifully furnished bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large private backyard with salt water pool and picturesque views of the Santa Rosa Mountains.

The living room is complete with plush furnishings, large flat screen TV and DVD with Netflix, Pandora etc. access. The fully equipped dining and Kitchen area has everything the gourmet or casual cook needs with easy access through french doors to the pool and backyard. There are ample linens and towels for inside and outside use.

The Master: Amenities include a plush pillow top California King, ample dresser and night stand space, private bathroom and separate entry from/to the pool area as well as flat screen television with DVD player.

The Double: This double-size room includes two Full pillow-top beds, long dresser and tall chest of drawers and ample closet space. Sliding glass doors open to the rear porch sitting area overlooking desert landscaping.

Queenie: The 3rd bedroom boasts a Queen pillow top bed and ample storage for the second couple or older siblings.

The oasis like backyard features rose bushes, palm trees, desert vegetation and a refreshing saltwater pool. A covered lanai, season changing lawn and elevated rear deck surrounds the swimming pool with expansive mountain views that change hourly and afford spectacular starry nights. There are pool amenities, loungers, patio chairs, tables, and a covered eating area.

The home is conveniently located south of Highway 111 between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. The location is perfect…close to everything...yet away from it all!! Access to miles of hiking trails lined with native cactus, smoke trees and fragrant wild desert sage without getting having to get in the car.

Within a very peaceful hillside environment, it's still only 10 minutes away from Palm Springs and Palm Desert. A short drive and you have access to movie theatres, including an IMAX, shopping, restaurants, golf courses and Palm Springs International Airport. The Joshua Tree National Park, Aerial Tramway, Cabot Pueblo Museum, Palms to Pines Drive and Aqua Caliente Indian Canyons are all a 1 hour or less drive away.

Fewer than 5 miles away -- less than a 10 minute drive is Palm Springs' Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort, recently rated “One of the Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest. A plethora of additional public and private Golf courses are nearby as well as Tennis Courts, Sports and Fitness activities and many excellent Delis and Restaurants!

I moved to the Desert at the beginning of my career and this is the first house I bought. A major fixer at the time and so worth it. The quiet serenity and amazing views of the upper cove always brings me to a wonderfully calm and loving sense of wellbeing. This is the house where my wife, Christel, and I began our relationship, had our wedding rehearsal dinner and have continually infused our love into this property for 20 years.

What makes this house unique

Laying in the sun by the pool and enjoying the wonderfully maintained landscape and everchanging mountain views in total privacy and serenity. Playing Golf and Hiking. Going to the nearby Casinos. Shopping in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage. Wine Tasting in Palm Springs. Bike Riding and Going to movies at our Nearby IMax or going to 'the River' in Rancho Mirage.

Amazing Stay!

This is the second time I’ve stayed in the O’Rourke property for Coachella. Nothing short of amazing. This time around, I booked the reservation so I did the check in and it went smoothly. The property manager Randy is amazing (so sweet) and responds immediately whenever you reach out. The house was immaculately clean. They also provide everything you could need for a great weekend including towels, pool towels, pool toys, bbq grills and even a pool table. There was more than enough space for my group and it was the perfect distance from Coachella. If I can book this place over and over again I will. I have nothing but good things to say about this property. Thank you so much you guys for allowing us to use your space for Coachella 2018! I definitely will be back, even if it’s just for a girls weekend!

Perfect relaxing getaway for our family

We absolutely adored this place!!! From the minute we arrived we felt like we were at home. We are a family of five, kids ages 6, 8 and 13. We used the pool a lot! It was perfect and very spacious. The yard is lovely. I had my morning coffee outside while listening and watching birds. Lots of hummingbirds. The house is well equipped with everything! Loads of games, puzzles, magazines etc. Randy and Byron were both very easy to talk to and helped us with anything we needed! The neighbourhood was very quiet and we enjoyed some oranges from the tree in the front yard. The location is also great, easy to get to a lot of places with our rental car. I would not hesitate to stay here again!!!

Great Getaway while watching some awesome tennis!!

We stayed here for the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, and well-stocked! A nice large, heated pool with plenty of space and patio furniture. I loved the fabulous landscaping in the backyard. Sean and Cristel are a pleasure to deal with and responded quickly to any of our questions. It was great having the property managers next door! If you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet and relaxing getaway, this is the place! We hope to come back again!

Quiet, convenient, comfortable home

We enjoyed staying at this home. It was just 15 minutes from the airport, tucked into the hillside on a quiet street, with hiking trails nearby. The home was clean and well maintained, though a couple minor repairs (master shower tap is sticky, doors don't quite close), might be considered.

The property manager, Randy, was friendly and responsive when we needed him to correct an issue with the cable TV. We enjoyed the pool and nicely landscaped garden. It was quiet and comfortable throughout our stay there.

We would definitely stay here again. Thanks to everyone for making this an enjoyable visit to the Palm Springs area.

The perfect vacation home

We loved the month we stayed in Sean and Chrystal's vacation home in Cathedral City. For us it was perfect! High up in the hills and on a cul de sac so very little traffic. A lovely pool for relaxing and can be heated (pretty expensive!) if you wish. A nice grassy area for our dogs and high solid walls and fencing to keep noises out. The kitchen is well equipped and having the rental manager next door is a plus. Randy was very responsive the couple of very minor problems we had. I do not know if we can go back to the area next year but if so we would definitely return to this house.

It was fine...

This was our first time staying in Cathedral City. We usually opt for La Quinta Cove but decided to do something different. The immediate area around this house was decent but go a few streets downhill and it gets sketchy. I'm a runner and wasn't 100% comfortable. The house itself is ok---lots of room but dated and in need of some TLC. I felt bad because I kept having to call the neighbor who oversees the place about issues that cropped up (A/C, fridge, etc.)

That being said, we have 3 kids and pets and for us, the pool is a HUGE selling point and this one did not disappoint. Saltwater, large space, nice landscaping, outdoor grill---really everything you need for outdoor living. My kids loved it! That plus Netflix really made the trip worthwhile. So, all in all, it was fine. The owners were very nice and accommodating and things that went wrong were fixed immediately.
