The property was an excellent value. Off the road a bit and the peace and quiet was very relaxing. Perfect porch for having a sip of bourbon in the evening.
What an amazing stay. Convenient drive to many bourbon tours and non bourbon activities. We lived coming back to the lodge, grabbing our cocktails and sitting on the wrap-around porch, watching the cows and farm view. Coffee on the porch was breathtaking to start every day. The owner was responsive when the grill needed attention, having a brand new one delivered very next day! We will be back!
Our first stay at the Bourbon Lodge and it was a five star experience. All the modern amenities you will need. The cabin was perfect for us! It is spacious and has everything you will need and more. It was an amazing touch to have the large square ice cubes awaiting you upon your arrival. The location is excellent as it is within 30-40 minutes of many of the distilleries. We also visited Churchill Downs which was only a short hour drive away. I was impressed with all that the kitchen had to offer and the game room was excellent for spending some time at the beautiful cabin. The wrap around porch is amazing as you will always find some shade if you are there in the hot months! Overall we cannot wait to return. Thank you Andy for a wonderful stay.
The Bourbon Lodge was a very peaceful retreat, and a wonderful escape. My family and I enjoyed the stay and highly recommend the lodge for some needed time away from home.
Overall, this was a very beautiful, peaceful vacation place.Only one small complaint, an extreme amt of bird droppings all over the porch handrails. We realize this will happen, but were unable take food/drink and set it down. Other than that, exceptional!!

Back roads of kentucky
The location of the Bourban Lodge was so beautiful and restful. The neighbors are friendly including the cows. However the lodge itself was not family friendly to young children. Upon request the host provided a highchair and 2 baby gates. Unfortunately more gates were needed and should have been installed. The cupboard was not anchored to the wall where laundry supplies were. The elderly on this trip had cupboard fall on her. Last, the storms were very bad and roof leaked on upstairs beds which were not useable. The owner requested that we move furniture and put a bucket up to catch rain water. This was not a good option because leaks occured in several places.
Loved the country homey feeling, enjoyed making a fire and smore's. The property was in the middle of everything we wanted to do. My grandson loved the long-horned cows and the rubber snakes to keep the birds away.
House was nice but not practical for people our age 70. No handrails going down to the basement area, we made it work but, but we had to be very careful. Loved seeing the livestock, but was a little distan
The house was clean and in a great location. We loved staying there and are already planning our next trip. Our dogs loved meeting cows for the first time. Thank you for setting up the Christmas decorations they were very beautiful.
It was absolutely fantastic... it was the perfect get away. You are able to relax and enjoy the quiet while taking in the sounds of nature. Would definately be staying here again if we ever make it to kentucky again. Host was also very helpful!
Chose this cabin for a 60th Bourbon Tasting Birthday Celebration for 3 couples. Cannot express enough what a GREAT find it was - out in farm country! Nothing like coffee on the porch in the morning listening to the cows and sheep. After exploring Bardstown and distilleries, it was a peaceful end to our days back on the porch enjoying wine/bourbon and the sunsets! Met the neighboring farmers - who were so sweet to let us take pics of their animals. Andy is absolutely the best host ever - he has taken the time to make sure your stay is a great experience. The cabin was equipped with everything you'd need! This is a rare find - you have to go!
The Bourbon Lodge was a great location for many of the distilleries. Even though it’s out in the country that’s what we liked about it. Very nice, private and very comfortable.
This property is perfect if your looking for peace and quiet. We stayed for the bourbon festival which was perfect! We are looking forward to co.ing back again! Thanks Andy!!
There were six, three couples, that came in for Derby weekend. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating up to and including the check in process. The house was very clean and all the beds were super comfortable. We all slept great! Everything we needed was right there plus amazing sunrises and sunsets from the porch. We will definitely be back!
