6-bedroom rustic lodge on pristine lake, perfect for large groups and families
I grew up in New Hampshire and my parents have a cabin in neighboring Thornton. My family lives in Boston now. Our 3 year old and 6 year old boys loving swimming, fishing, splashing and boating around the lake. My husband is a General Contractor and Architect, and is constantly improving the lodge always trying to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
Laura purchased this Lodge in 2013
Why Laura chose North Woodstock
In the summers when we visited my parents, my husband and I used to come to Mirror Lake because it's the best place to swim in the area. The water is so clean and clear and the shore is so wooded. We had been looking for a place on a lake for years and when we saw the Lodge was for sale, we knew that this was the place. We met with Annemarie, the previous owner, who was (and is) great. We were lucky to have her teach us how she had successfully run the lodge for the last 15 years. We plan to keep the spirit of Mirror Lake Lodge going as the perfect place for families and friends to make lifelong memories.

wonderful new year's eve at Mirror Lodge!
we had a wonderful time at Mirror Lake lodge. The house was in great order and the bedrooms were clean and spacious enough for all our guests. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare food for everyone and the electric griddle was perfect for making pancakes. The kids loved sledding on the nearby hill, as well as skating on the pond right outside the house. I highly recommend staying here.
Wonderful house by the lovely Mirror Lake.
We went as a large group in late Summer and everything was perfect: the house, the yard, and the lake. We hope to come back again in Fall. Laura and Mike are great hosts, they were very helpful and responsive all along. Overall, great place for a weekend getaway!
The lodge was amazing. Perfect for our multigenerational group.
We had an amazing time. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and was well stocked with everything that we needed. There was plenty to do with lawn games and plenty of watercraft. This was an amazing getaway and we hope to return soon
So glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! Would love to have you back any time.
Perfect for the kids!
The small private beach with kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat were a huge hit with the young kids, although the lake isn't big enough to allow long distance trips. Grownups loved dinner on the deck with a view of the lake and mountains. The kitchen is new, well-equipped, and has plenty of work space. You can hear noise from the interstate, but also the soothing music of the water running over the dam near the house, which can be heard from the bedrooms. The house is rustic and cozy (read: small) but the outdoors makes up for it. We took day trips to attractions and walks in the mountains and had a lovely week.
Great house on private cove
Mirror Lake Lodge: spacious and fun!
We have enjoyed staying at this fun lodge in both summer and winter. There is plenty of room for large groups to sleep comfortably. The fireplace is enormous and great centerpiece for the main living room. Sitting on the deck in the summer and looking at the gorgeous view of tranquil Mirror Lake can't be beat. Kevin and Laura have a great little dock with canoes and kayaks to use. Swimmers? This is the best lake around! It's clean and quiet, great for kids to enjoy. We brought our paddleboard and loved seeing a Bald Eagle fly overhead while floating on this beautiful lake. There are two bathrooms and a newly renovated kitchen with everything you need to enjoy meals both inside or out on the deck.
The accommodations are very clean and neat. Also handy is that Mirror Lake Lodge is easy to get to from Rt 93, but quiet and peaceful. In winter, we drove to Cannon Mountain in less than 20 minutes to ski. Franconia Notch is right up the road and there are so many amazing places to hike and see. I highly recommend this lovely lodge if you have a large group or family to accommodate. There is no end to the fun here in both summer and winter. Outdoor enthusiasts will be close to nature and couch potatoes- well, they can rest and relax in cozy places indoors or out on the deck. We will definitely be back!
North Woodstock is in the heart of the White Mountains. Just 15 minutes from Loon, one of the largest ski mountains in New Hampshire, and very close to state-owned Cannon Mountain and Waterville Valley (x-country and downhill), the area is ski and snowboard heaven. In the warmer months, there is hiking through miles of National and State Forests, including the Appalachian Trail. Within Woodstock are rivers, waterfalls and gorges to explore with short hikes. Kids and grownups will enjoy Clarks Trading Post and Polar Caves or a scenic rides at Hobo Railroad or the Lafayette Dining Train. Need a break? Great restaurants and bars in nearby Woodstock, Lincoln and Campton. Shopping your bag? Not far either from Garnet Hill outlet (my mom's favorite) in Franconia and adorable downtown Littleton, NH (check out Just L for mid-century modern furniture). Also close to outlet shopping centers in North Conway and Tilton.
