  • Franconia Cottage

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location and Cort, the property manager, was very helpful. We were a bit disappointed about the lack of a full size refrigerator/ freezer and of a washer/ drier. We also would have enjoyed a better cleaned property: the window treatments, couch and chairs were stained and the bedding (quilts and shams) had not been washed prior to our arrival. To sum it up: lovely cottage, great location but could have used a more in-depth cleaning."

  • Beautiful spot

"Great place to stay in Franconia near ski resort. Terrific view from the large balcony. Unmatched fall colors. Many close scenic drives. Also close to inns with nice restaurants. On dead end for privacy. Plenty of room for our 3 couples party. Terrific value!"

  • Family Memories are created here!

"Our family had a wonderful relaxing week at this beautiful home in Sugar Hill! Plenty of space for all of us to spread out! The house was clean and comfortable and at the end of a dead end, had plenty of privacy! With a family of 4 adult "kids" that now have grown to a family of 8 is close and we enjoy our family time together! Each of us took turns cooking each night in the gourmet kitchen! Waking up to kayaking each morning with the magical Loons, who now have a baby! Allie was great to work with and very responsive to any questions during our stay! The neighborhood was so quiet nice and friendly! Sugar Hill is worth the drive and we were enchanted by the beautiful stunning countryside! The museum and Polly's Pancakes are a must for your stay! Close enough to all attractions in the White Mountains too! Highly recommend Allie and this home!"

  • lovely view, nice folks

"I enjoyed my stay at this property during foliage season 2016. The view is everything that's promised--and if that's not enough for you, just take a walk along the road for even more lovely vistas. The apartment itself is warm and functional, having been built into the upper level of a barn. Alice and Kurt provide board and training for horses, so you are surrounded, quite literally, by horses. At night you need only walk out onto the deck off the kitchen to enjoy the stars. No nearby light pollution and a good view of the night sky in most directions. TV is via small indoor antenna--you'll get a few channels. I happened to have a fancier indoor antenna with me which got a couple more. Wifi is available but restricted. For date-intensive surfing, I tried to make use of either the Bethlehem library or the Franconia chamber of commerce public wifi. All in all, a nice place to stay and suited my needs."
