About the host
Hosted by Chad
"Welcome to our lakefront retreat! We are a local family who takes great pride in providing a clean, modern, and high-quality experience for our guests on Hermon Pond.
We completely renovated this property with 'Maine living' in mind—focusing on high-end systems like our Rinnai tankless water heater and LifeProof flooring to ensure our guests are comfortable no matter the season. Whether you are here for the world-class ice fishing, a University event, or a concert at the waterfront, we are committed to making your stay seamless.
Why they chose this property
"The scene here is defined by its quiet energy and outdoor lifestyle. What we enjoy most is how the neighborhood serves as a premier headquarters for every season. In the winter, it’s a vibrant destination for ice fishing and snowmobiling, with the ITS 84 trails and the Penobscot Snowmobile Club just around the corner. In the warmer months, the focus shifts to the water, where you can watch eagles and loons from your deck in total peace.
It is a respectful, low-traffic community where you can truly disconnect, knowing that modern conveniences like Danforth’s, Pat’s Pizza, and the airport are all just a quick drive away. Whether you are here for a graduation, a concert, or a weekend on the ice, this neighborhood provides the perfect balance of lakeside privacy and logistical ease."
What makes this property unique
"Our home offers a rare 'best of both worlds' experience that you won't find at a typical Maine lake rental. While you are tucked away on a quiet dead-end road just 25 feet from the water, you are also in the ultimate centralized hub for Maine's best activities.
You can spend your morning watching ice fishing flags pop from the comfort of your living room, your afternoon snowmobiling the ITS 84 trails or skiing at New Hermon Mountain, and your evening enjoying a world-class concert or upscale dining in Bangor—all within a 15-minute drive. We’ve traded the 'rustic camp' feel for modern, pristine comfort, ensuring that after a day of adventure, you’re returning to a clean, updated home that serves as the perfect basecamp for everything Central Maine has to offer."
