Cedarbreeze Is A Luxury One Bedroom Riverfront Cabin Sleeps Four
Cedarbreeze is more than a cabin. It is a cozy little house complete with all the amenities of a home. It has a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, lovely river rock fireplace, and a generous living area.
There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. Both beds have comfortable latex mattresses.
Outside, the large covered deck overlooks a huge lawn sloping down to the river. A propane BBQ is provided on the deck. A hot tub for the exclusive use of this cabin sits on a side deck. There is a fire pit just for the use of this cabin, and a small fenced yard is convenient for those with children or pets.
Lovely landscaping enhances the beauty of the setting as well as providing privacy between cabins.

About Brenda Connely
We are Ted and Brenda Connely. Brenda grew up in Forks. Ted is from Nebraska but has been here on the Olympic Peninsula since 1976. We were living in Port Angeles when we found the river house. A friend mentioned the property might be available. We bought it and spent every spare moment for the next four years fixing it up. One day in March of 2004 Brenda came back to the cabin from work in Port Angeles carrying Sam the cat, who had been the only one occupying the house in Port Angeles most of the time. 'We live here now,' she announced, 'we're always here anyway.' She got no argument from Ted and so the house in Port Angeles was sold and we became full time residents at the cabin. Everybody enjoyed life at the cabin, including Sam, but after several long, wet winters we decided to buy a larger home closer to Forks, still on the river but not as special. We couldn't bring ourselves to sell the cabin so we decided to share it with others by turning in into a vacation rental. It has been gratifying to see our guests love it too. So many have told us they don't want to leave at the end of their stay.
Brenda Connely purchased this Cabin in 1995
Why Brenda Connely chose Port Angeles
Even though the property was all grown up with weeds and the house was very run down, we knew at first sight this was our place. The sparkling river running along the edge of the yard, the golden light coming through the trees, just the peaceful feel of the place. Many guests have used the word 'magical' to describe their feelings about the place.
What makes this Cabin unique
We originally bought this property for our own vacation home with no thought of its potential as a vacation rental property. But not only is it a beautiful, relaxing, welcoming spot to stay, it is very handily located within an hour's drive of nearly all the attractions of the northwest section of Olympic National Park. Many guests comment on what a great base camp it is for seeing the park. We have often heard how nice it is to come home to after a day of hiking and exploring to sit by the river, BBQ on the deck, soak in the hot tub, build a fire in the firepit, and sleep in the very comfortable beds.

What a beautiful little cabin. Extremely clean and had all the necessities. The soothing sounds of the river just out back could be heard from the porch while enjoying our morning coffee. The hot tub was a very nice touch as well. The hummingbirds and blue jays kept us entertained as well. A very nice central location just a short trip to the mountains, beaches and rainforests. Overall I would stay here in a heartbeat again and highly recommend to all of my friends.
Thank you for such a great review. We are happy when our guests are happy. Glad you liked it and hope you can come back again.
We thouroughly enjoyed the cabin!!!
We will go back again and again! The cabin was perfect and the hosts were so so helpful when we ran into a little snafu. The home and property do not disappoint :)
Beautiful and serene on the Sol Duc river
This home is well cared for and beautiful. I wandered the living room looking at the native masks and carvings. The hot tub is just steps across a covered deck, looking out at the Sol Duc river. Simple and quiet, pretty and comfortable, this home made a perfect base from which to explore the vast Peninsula. Thank you Brenda, we will return.
Fantastic view of the sol duc right in the back yard. Hot tub under the stars. Bbq, fire pit, everything you could want or need, they really thought of everything (even marshmallow roasting sticks for s’mores!). It was great fun, highly recommended. They even have my two favorite westerns on vhs, stagecoach & shane! Can’t wait to come back, already planning our next trip. - Aaron
Thank you for the great review Aaron. Glad you had a good time and we'll look forward to you coming back. Those two movies are some of Ted's very favorites too.
Ted and Brenda
Private, cozy and in a great location for day activities.
Nice little cabin with a comfortable bed, fireplace and everything you need for a great stay. Hot tub was a nice after hike rest too. We will be back.
Thank you for such a nice review Michelle. Hope you can come back again soon.
Cabin is fantastic. So cozy and comfortable. Everything we were wanting
Our stay was magical. It was dark when we arrived and awoke to an amazing view of the river rushing right outside the door. Spent our days hiking the Olympic Peninsula and came home to a lovely hot tub! We will be back again for the summer and hopefully less rain! Your place is just beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for more.
Thank you for the great review. I was afraid everyone would be stuck inside with all that rain; glad you went out and explored in spite of it. We'd love to have you come back this summer. It's even better with the sun shining.
This property is a great base camp for exploring the north Peninsula area of Olympic National Park. It is located just off Highway 101 ten miles southwest of Lake Crescent providing quick and easy access to Lake Crescent Lodge, Storm King Ranger Station, Marymere Falls, Eagle Peak Ranger Station and Sol Duc Falls with hiking trails continuing into the Olympics. Heading east from the cabins, it's less than an hour's drive to the main Park visitor center in Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, and the ferry to Victoria British Columbia. West from the cabins 8 miles is the junction of Hwy 113 which will take you to the Lake Ozette Ranger Station and the loop trail to the ocean at Ozette, the Makah Museum and Cape Flattery on the Makah Reservation. Shi Shi Beach on the Makah Reservation is one of the most beautiful and remote beaches on the west coast. Continuing on 101 past the 113 junction for 9 miles will take you to Hwy 110 (La Push Road) providing access to 1st beach at La Push, the trailheads for Beach 2 and 3 and Rialto Beach across the Quillayute River. Just past the 110 junction you will enter the town of Forks which provides shopping, restaurants, and Twilight attractions. Continuing south from Forks for 12 miles will take you to the access road for Hoh Rain Forest visitor center with miles of hiking trails. Another 25 miles south on 101 you will find Kalaloch Lodge perched on the bluff above miles of beautiful sandy beaches. There are many access points to this stretch of beach. Many guests have told us how nice it is to come back to our cabins after a day of hiking and exploring to sit by the river, BBQ on the decks or soak in the hot tubs.
