Resting Beach Face – Your Perfect Cape San Blas Getaway! If your ideal vacation includes stargazing, beach bonfires, horseback riding, beachcombing, and true rest and relaxation, Resting Beach Face is for you. Conveniently located on the north end of the Cape, our home offers dedicated private access to the sugar-white beaches of Cape San Blas and private access to St. Joseph Bay—perfect for snorkeling for shells and scallops (in season) and enjoying some of the area’s best bay fishing. Don’t forget your kayaks and paddleboards! Two public beach access points are also just minutes away to the north and south. The top-floor screened deck is the perfect place to unwind and toast breathtaking sunsets. Prefer sunrises? Step onto the small north deck or take a short walk to the bay for a spectacular morning show. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is only 1.5 miles away and offers a beautiful introduction to the Cape’s natural charm. Be sure to explore the Hammock Trail just inside the park entrance for a glimpse of native flora and wildlife. Port St. Joe and Apalachicola are a short drive away and offer all the charm and amenities of small coastal towns—great dining, local shops, and even a brewery in Apalachicola. Closer to home, you’ll find local favorites like Longbill’s and Coneheads to the north, and Peachy’s to the south. Scallop Cove General Store is convenient for last-minute groceries and beverages. For full-service grocery shopping, Piggly Wiggly in nearby Port St. Joe is the main option. And don’t miss Weber’s Little Donut Shop—where a dozen is never enough. Go early: the line can start forming at 5:30 AM for a 7:30 AM opening, and yes, they’re that good.
Bring your binoculars for birdwatching and night-sky viewing from the north-side top deck. On clear nights, you can see the Milky Way, thanks to the Cape’s minimal light pollution—stars truly feel within reach.
