Space 1,245 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms 2 Bathrooms Sleeps 8

Located in the beautiful upper canyon area. Has the feel of seclusion but is only a mile to midtown and 5 miles to the road to ski apache. The cabin includes a bedroom with a king size bed, a bedroom with a queen size bed and a downstairs bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. The dining room table can be expanded to seat 8 comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked (except groceries). There are two very private decks - one off of the living room and one on the second floor off one bedroom - both have an amazing view of Sierra Blanca.

There are many large windows and even sitting in the living room or laying in bed upstairs you can see Sierra Blanca.

The benefit of this mountain retreat is being nestled in the pines while shops and restaurants are only a mile away.

There are ceiling fans in the living room and the two upstairs bedrooms. There are electric room heaters in all the bedrooms to provide comfort to individual preference in the winter.

Why Mark McLaurin chose New Mexico

We have always loved Ruidoso and found ourselves returning year after year to camp, hike or ski. We've even been to the horse races a couple of times. There is also a large casino that has many shows coming to it that is always worth a check. Ruidoso is a mixture of many things. There is something for everyone and it is enjoyable all year round.

What makes this cabin unique

When we saw this Lindel Cedar Home with its amazing views and large windows, we knew it was perfect for us and also to share as a vacation rental. It is the perfect getaway!

So beautiful!! Perfect cabin for a large family with spectacular views, great proximity to mtn & town

  • 5 of 5

Very clean and had all the basic essentials needed to stay a few days without having to go to the store for those things. Fantastic views of the mountains and valley! Great selection of family movies and Apple TV was great too! The beds and linens were comfy and the kids loved the bunks. Fun hiking trails within walking distance. Large outdoor deck and lawn chairs to visit with family while enjoying the beautiful views. Nice appliances and the Keurig was great for coffee in the morning! Great pamphlets for ideas of things to do in the area. Large dining table to accommodate 8 people and TV dinner trays too!

The cabin is so cute, well maintained and comfortable. The views were absolutely amazing and added to our stay in Ruidoso. Mark was a pleasure to work with, we would stay here again, and we would recommend it.

Lovely view good price

  • 4 of 5

Cabin had a lovely view. But Stairs were too steep for elderly women like us. My fault for not realizing this. There were minor things I am use to having provided, like hand soap in bathrooms. Toilet paper was not sufficient for 6 people. Maid had left towels in dryer and we did not realize this. One bed in down stairs bedroom had only one sheet on lower bunk that we had to use. Perfect cabin for younger people. Mark was very good to respond to my letters.

Owner's Response: We (owners) arrived right behind these folks and also noticed that the bathrooms were not stocked as they should be. There should be plenty of paper and soap supplies in the bathrooms and kitchen. We have had a discussion with our maid service and that issue should be corrected. The things mentioned in this review are not acceptable in our opinion and will be addressed.

A magical stay!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this weekend at Sierra Blanca more than we expected! The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our 3 small families! There was so much space, yet it was so cozy! Our first night it snowed and our girls built their first snowman "Olaf" on the deck! The lighting was so nice, because even though it was completely dark out, the lights provided the perfect ambience for viewing the snowfall, and building a snowman!! We spent endless hours by the cozy fireplace, watched movies on Netflix, played board games, drank hot coco and wine! The downstairs room with 2 sets of bunks beds was PERFECT for our girls to stay in. The portable heaters were awesome and cozy and looked like little fireplaces! The upstairs bedrooms were a REALLY nice size, and everywhere you looked there was a view! We were so comfortable in Sierra Blanca and were defiantly not ready to leave! We would LOVE to return next year and make this an annual getaway!!

Mark was absolutely wonderful to work with! He ALWAYS answered his phone and responded to txt messages and emails so quickly!

The only thing I would say, is that if you are going during the winter season and do not have 4-wheel drive, you might need to be careful. The roads are steep and there are 3 different options of how to get to the cabin, but still the roads are steep. This of course leads you to a breathtaking view non the less.

Thank you for allowing us to make this our "home away from home" for a nice long weekend!

  • 5 of 5

First of all, the owners were always available to answer questions, provide information, etc. Very thankful and appreciative for that!

The cabin was clean, kitchen was well stocked, beautiful scenery from balconies, nice quiet neighborhood and more.

We truly enjoyed our short stay at this cabin. It's a great place to enjoy your stay at Ruidoso!
