Beautiful setting! Private, beautiful grounds, and great lake access for kayaking. LOVED the hammock! Well equipped kitchen and comfy living space. Only downfalls…wish there was an electric coffee maker and a larger bed on first floor. Had a great stay!
Perfect remote Lakeside and getaway. Everything you could ever need in the kitchen, lovely personal details, love all the books! I can tell that this home was loved and full of happy memories.

Gem of a place
Our family had an amazing stay at this place. Beautiful views, secluded private lake access. The only thing to watch out for is to not lock the second door after the vestibule into the kitchen since there isn’t a key for it. We absolutely loved staying there and will be back for sure. Thank you

Perfect lakeside cabin
We loved everything about this home. Charming in every way, an awesome layout, beautiful gardens, perfect spot on the lake. We almost couldn't find the road using Google and did a lot of driving around looking for it so some directions would have been helpful. Thank you so much for sharing this home. We would so love to come back.
A lovely spot that really showcases the beauty of the region. Comfortable house. No internet onsite but you can use starlink if you have a setup you can bring. Very quiet and serene. Note that there is not really a beach; very rocky and difficult entry. Bottom is nice though once you get in. The hammock right next to the wayer is wonderful. Thank you for a nice vacation

Excellent place!
The place was even nicer than expected. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The house was furnished tastefully and had beautiful woodwork and light. The outside was spectacular too. The outside was enchanting with many natural wildflower gardens, an awesome hammock and fire pit and an exceptional area of the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful. Nothing disturbed the sound of the loons and view of the islands and mountains. The water was crystal clear too. We will definitely be back next year. This summer we were grateful to have snatched an opening in July.

Hidden GEM!
We LOVED everything about the Rockwood Getaway experience - from the AMAZING views to the fully equipped house! This was our first time renting a vacation home as we typically stay in hotels. This experience changed our way of vacationing forever. The home was comfortable, roomy, clean and had everything we needed to cook, relax and make family memories to last a lifetime. The location was great to get to the public landing to catch the boat to Mt. Kineo, downtown Greenville, Northeast Whitewater and to the boat we rented. We could not have been happier with the Rockwood Getaway! It is a great find for our family of 5 and our dog, Storm. He felt right at home and we are grateful to the owners for allowing him to be part of our family vacation. Check out the Rockwood Getaway - you will not be disappointed!
