This house is in a beautiful, very peaceful location. The back of the house is essentially a wall of windows, giving the upstairs / main level in particular the feeling of being in a tree house, with sparkling views of Toddy Pond below. The sun room, just off the living / dining room / kitchen main room was my favorite place to start the day. If you appreciate peace and quiet, you will find it here.Our group chose this house because, #1, it could accommodate my wheelchair-bound sister, and finding a place that she can stay is next to impossible. Pam, the host, could not have been more helpful; she did everything she could to make it easier for her and us. The other reason we picked this house is because it is only about 15 minutes from Bucksport. We came to Maine to see our oldest sister one last time. Finding this house helped make that possible, and I am grateful.Again, if you are seeking peace and quiet, with. lovely views, and a location that is conveniently close to a nice little town with a good grocery store, this is the place for you. One thing you should be aware of, though, is that the bedroom windows have no window coverings. It's lovely to wake up to that beautiful view but bring a sleep mask with you or the morning light might wake you earlier than you're used to.
