About the property

Large 2BR, close to all tourist attractions and public transportation

Wonderful 2 bedroom apartment, very sunny, w/large windows and a high ceiling. Sleeps 4-6 guests. One bedroom has a loft bed w/twin on bottom and full bed on top. 2nd BR has a queen size bed. Newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. We offer digital cable TV, DVD and high speed Internet. For your convenience, we provide linens and towels, and pots and pans, dishes and utensils in the kitchen. The North End is close to everything - tourist attractions and lots of cozy cafes and shops.

~~ Parking in the North End of Boston ~~

1. The best place to park without paying is in a visitors’ lot on Hanover Street. Pay attention to the signs because some are from 8am-6pm and some are 12pm –6pm. Free parking is limited usually to two hours and is often enforced.

2. Metered parking is usually available all along Commercial Street, which runs perpendicular to Hanover Street. Bring plenty of quarters.

3. For overnight parking, I recommend parking in the Sargent’s Wharf on Commercial Street, right next to Starbucks. The cost for overnight parking runs between $9 and $14, but be sure to check the rate schedule, because the rate may change for the daytime. For overnight parking on the street, most parking spaces are reserved for residents or valet parking zones.

4. There is also an indoor garage near the Fleet center called the North End Garage.

5. Meter maids are notorious in the North End. They love it because the neighborhood resembles the mess in Naples and Sicily in that there are lots of opportunities to give tickets. Most tickets run around $25, but they can only give them out once a day. So, if you receive a ticket, chances are that you can still park there for a while.

This is all I know about parking in the North End. Good luck.

Why Dror Ashuah chose Boston

The North End feels like home from the moment you set foot on Hanover street with its bustling restaurants; such as Mikes Pastry, the line in front of Giacomo's restaurant. You cannot help but fall in love with this warm and friendly Italian neighborhood where everyone gives you suggestions of where to go and dine before you even ask. Everyone falls in love with this safe and charming neighborhood

What makes this condo unique

Wonderful vibrant and uniquely joyful neighborhood centrally located and accessible to many historical sights such as Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall. An experience that should not be missed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Dror,

Thank you so much for the great accommodations - my daughter and I felt so at home in Ansel's Apartment! I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know how impressed we were with Gail. She arranged for us to be able to check in early, and called a couple of times to see how things were.

Although our trip was a bit of a whirlwind, it was nice to have a cozy, warm "home" to return to each evening.

Again, many thanks to you and your staff. We have already recommended you to several people, and we will undoubtedly stay with you again!

Sincerely,
Mar 2010

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, four kids and I had a great two day stay in this apartment. We enjoyed being able to walk to the many restaurants in Little Italy, the Freedom Trail, which is steps outside the front door, and the New England Aquarium. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals and the apartment was clean and welcoming. Our twin boys originally planned to sleep in the loft bed, but my husband and I ended up sleeping there because it was quite high for our young children. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a fun and convenient stay in the city!

Awesome location in Boston!

  • 4 of 5

In walking distance to everything. Just a block off the freedom trail. Apartment was clean and apartment Manager was very nice. We didn't realize the bunk beds in the second room have a full size bed on top bunk and twin on bottom. We had 2 couples, so that means one couple slept in deprecate beds. The beds were quite comfortable. The windows were quite small in the bedrooms so the bedrooms were a little dark and there was an unusual fire escape setup. But as long as there was no fire... That wasn't a deal breaker. Kitchen had everything we needed. The couch was very warn with parts of the chordoroy completely worn off and really needs to be replaced. It's also very low to the ground for anyone with knee problems. The apartment was an older building with really high ceilings and was clean. Other than the couch we really enjoyed our stay!!!!

Great location and customer service

  • 4 of 5

This owner was very accomodating. Apartment needed extra fan which he brought right away and offered to install extra air conditioner! Lovely organic cleaning products and left us a welcome basket of pasta and Nutella. Fantastic location on Hanover close to restaurants, down town and the waterfront. Loved the neighbourhood market for fresh produce and good eats. Parking ridiculously expensive in local lots. Advertise $17 overnight but only if you pick up by 6 am! Cost us $39 from 5pm to 10:00am. Buyer beware!!!

The North end at your doorstep.

  • 4 of 5

Great 2 bedroom apartment with tall ceilings and plenty of natural light. There was the perfect amount of room for two adults and two teens for our two night stay. It was super hot in Boston for our trip and the small window AC kept the apartment perfectly comfortable although we did have to leave the bedroom doors slightly open to keep the cool air moving at night. For being right on Hanover street it was surprisingly quiet inside. We love the location, easy walking distance to a lot of cool things. Overall it was a great space and I would stay here again.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place was amazing! The condo was larger than I thought it would be. We are a family of 4, myself, my husband and 2 almost adult kids and there was plenty of space. Great location! Accessible to everything. Very bright, and the air-conditioning was perfect for the size of the condo. It was so fun living in the heart of little Italy! We absolutely LOVED Boston! The only negative which didn't make or break the holiday was that the Condo Managers don't supply hand towels or dish clothes. I did call to ask and was told that the woman use the face clothes to take off their make up so it ruins them and so therefore they no longer provide hand towels for the washroom. There is no dishwasher which is all good but we only had one little tiny towel to do dishes with. I spoke with the Duty Manager who said she would come by the next day with a few extra towels but she never did. Again, this didn't make our stay there any less wonderful. Just a heads up if you go to bring your own hand towels and face clothes. Thanks for a great week in wonderful Boston!

All my short term apartments are located close to the Freedom Trail, a few minutes walk to the famous Fanuil Hall and Quincy Market as well the Aquarium and many historical sites. I have 9 short term furnished apartments within a two block radius in the heart of little Italy and the price listed is the base price.
