~~ Parking in the North End of Boston ~~
1. The best place to park without paying is in a visitors’ lot on Hanover Street. Pay attention to the signs because some are from 8am-6pm and some are 12pm –6pm. Free parking is limited usually to two hours and is often enforced.
2. Metered parking is usually available all along Commercial Street, which runs perpendicular to Hanover Street. Bring plenty of quarters.
3. For overnight parking, I recommend parking in the Sargent’s Wharf on Commercial Street, right next to Starbucks. The cost for overnight parking runs between $9 and $14, but be sure to check the rate schedule, because the rate may change for the daytime. For overnight parking on the street, most parking spaces are reserved for residents or valet parking zones.
4. There is also an indoor garage near the Fleet center called the North End Garage.
5. Meter maids are notorious in the North End. They love it because the neighborhood resembles the mess in Naples and Sicily in that there are lots of opportunities to give tickets. Most tickets run around $25, but they can only give them out once a day. So, if you receive a ticket, chances are that you can still park there for a while.
This is all I know about parking in the North End. Good luck.

2D is a beautiful, spacious apartment, on the whole we were very comfortable there for five nights.
The furnishings are beautiful with tons of art on the walls, a big bed in the main bedroom, a small but functional bathroom, and a comfortable area in which to relax. The location in the North End is pretty much unbeatable, with so many fantastic restaurants and bakeries near, plus the Freedom Trail and the Harbor. We did have a problem with excessively high heat upon arrival, i.e., the apartment was stifling at 78 degrees, set on a thermostat that we couldn't control in a common area on the second floor. This took a while to solve (the first adjustment didn't work) with the apartment manager and the first night was uncomfortably hot, affecting sleep and leaving us feeling dehydrated. A new system will apparently soon allow individual temperature control and it is very much needed! I would give 4.5 stars if a half star was available.
Beautiful property. Great Boston feel and amazing location!
Loved the space. Amazing location. Great dining options. History right out the front door. Wonderful neighborhood.
Attentive owner. There is a kitchen but not possible
To cook. The knives will not
Cut, the blender doesn't work properly, no pans to use oven. Nice area here for
Touring. But restaurants not
A fabulous apartment and service in the heart of North End!
I have nothing but positive feedback and comments about our recent stay in this apartment. Every detail had been thought of and it really did feel like a home away from home.
From the initial enquiry with super prompt and courteous replies, to on arrival welcome basket of goodies, messages to check if we were warm enough (it was a serious cold snap!) and if there was anything else we could use.
The apartment is fully kitted out with all you could need and walking distance to just about everything in the very walkable city of Boston. Options about to eat, drink and enjoy Boston hospitality on your door step in the North End and if you wanted to go a little further afar an Uber was no more than a few minutes away - even with our pre 5am airport departure.
I couldn’t recommend this highly enough, thanks Dror and Mimi for a wonderful stay.
Great place to stay
Great location, lots of good restaurants, place was neat and clean. Beds comfortable,
Plenty of room for 2 couples. Would be nice to have 2 sets of keys, but then I didn't ask.
Awesome location in Boston!
In walking distance to everything. Just a block off the freedom trail. Apartment was clean and apartment Manager was very nice. We didn't realize the bunk beds in the second room have a full size bed on top bunk and twin on bottom. We had 2 couples, so that means one couple slept in deprecate beds. The beds were quite comfortable. The windows were quite small in the bedrooms so the bedrooms were a little dark and there was an unusual fire escape setup. But as long as there was no fire... That wasn't a deal breaker. Kitchen had everything we needed. The couch was very warn with parts of the chordoroy completely worn off and really needs to be replaced. It's also very low to the ground for anyone with knee problems. The apartment was an older building with really high ceilings and was clean. Other than the couch we really enjoyed our stay!!!!
All my short term apartments are located close to the Freedom Trail, a few minutes walk to the famous Fanuil Hall and Quincy Market as well the Aquarium and many historical sites. I have 9 short term furnished apartments within a two block radius in the heart of little Italy and the price listed is the base price.
