About this property

Ledge and Tide - An Oceanfront Home on Quiet Cove

Located in a quiet section of Deer Isle on a no-outlet road guests will find Ledge and Tide. This oceanfront home is certain to provide a peaceful, midcoast Maine vacation. Enjoy the sea as your front yard, a well-appointed oceanfront deck for morning coffee or afternoon iced tea. Well maintained green spaces and easy shore access are sure to make this well-appointed, island home a fan favorite.

The house sits on roughly 500 feet of private pink granite alongside the Jericho Bay, in the quiet Sunshine neighborhood of Deer Isle. Flat ledge, tide pools, sea glass, spruce-covered islands across the bay and the mountains of Acadia visible on the horizon. The landscape changes completely with the tide: intimate and glistening at high water, wide open with cobble beach and exposed granite boulders at low. Two different landscapes, six hours apart. After dark, no city light for miles.

Ledge and Tide has a well stocked kitchen to make preparing meals at home easy and enjoyable. The kitchen and the dining area are open to one another making it easy to gather and dine. The living room is outfitted with comfortable seating options including a full size couch, two arm chairs and a set of firm backed wooden chairs for those wanting a more upright seating experience. Sea views from the living and dining areas are bold - welcoming guests to look out over Jericho Bay from many windows within the property. Ledge and Tide has a first floor king bedroom. Each bedroom is shaped around Maine, from children's book author Robert McCloskey to the boatbuilder Joel White to the shore itself, with art, books, and informational notes throughout. A full bathroom with a shower and tub combo and a laundry closet with a washer and dryer round out the first floor of Ledge and Tide.

The upstairs of Ledge and Tide has a king bedroom and a two-queen bedroom. The king bedroom has a dedicated work station as well as a comfortable sitting area. The two queen bedroom is spacious with new memory foam mattresses with a Robert McCloskey themed decor. This room also includes a sitting area and a work station. Completing the second floor amenities is a full bathroom with a shower and tub combo. Every bed in the house is a good bed: brand-new mattresses, 680-thread-count sheets, room-darkening curtains and white noise machines to provide guests with as many options to induce relaxation, rest and comfort.

Outside, there is an 8-person waterfront dining table, a grill, Adirondack seating, and outdoor games. Morning coffee by the cove. Slow dinners with the bay in front of you. Kids exploring the shoreline until the light goes. Evenings that feel genuinely removed from everyday life. Launching your own kayaks and canoes will be easy from this seaside property.

Ledge and Tide is sure to satisfy your vacation expectations. Plan your stay today.
