Fully renovated in 2021, this furnished, open concept cottage combines the living room, kitchen and dining area and has a separate bedroom and full bath with shower. Driving to area beaches and Downtown Madison is under 10 minutes; stroll to town in about 15 (no sidewalks until you reach Downtown). Amenities include 2 split HVAC systems; fully equipped kitchen with dishes, utensils, small appliances plus oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, washer and dryer; linens, towels, beach chairs and beach umbrella are included. Discover the sandy beaches of Madison (including Hammonasset Beach State Park), the renowned R.J. Julia Booksellers, Madison Cinemas, boutiques, farmer's market, walking trails, cafes and restaurants. Approximately two hours from Midtown Manhattan and Boston, Madison is celebrating its 200th anniversary; between that and the nation's 250th celebration there are plenty of things happening on the CT Shoreline this summer!

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Please put used linens and towels into the hamper in the closet; the comforter and blanket remain on the bed (they are laundered at a commercial facility).

The blue bucket under the sink is for recyclables. Please empty it into the purple receptacle in the carport.

Please put bagged trash (non-recyclables) into the green receptacle in the carport.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

As a courtesy to the neighbors, we ask that you "turn down the volume" from 10 pm through 8 am.

Originally from Queens, NY I spent several years living in Manhattan where I worked in public relations and, later, in magazine publishing (I was the Senior Editor of SOAP OPERA WEEKLY). Upon my marriage I moved to Westchester County, NY and then to Connecticut (been here in Madison for just shy of 25 years!). I'm a licensed Realtor and, about a dozen years ago, I embarked on yet another career as an actor; I'm a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. This is all to say that I'm a real people person, and I'm delighted to host you while you relax in - and explore - the charming town of Madison.

The cottage was taken down to the studs and completely renovated in 2021, so everything is newer. The property is 1 mile to Downtown Madison and (in the opposite direction) 1 mile to Hammonasset Beach State Park by car. Town beaches are nearby too. A stroll into Downtown is approximately 10-15 minutes.
