Glad the teens didn't revolt on you. We do have a signal booster, and your phone's hotspot can get you online and into your own accounts for entertainment. Some people don't let their kids know that, so they can have some time away from the devices! We are very disappointed to hear that this guest was not satisfied with the Cave Creek Cabin experience. We have described the cabin both in words and pictures with the most honest of intentions. We encourage you to read the other reviews. Seclusion, getting away from it all, being in a historic building with well cared for modern amenities are what we offer our guests. This is real nature, not a manicured garden spot off of a busy highway. Therein lies the beauty of Cave Creek Cabin, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Many of the pictures are taken from the front porch or from just in front of the cabin. Each season offers a different experience, and the prevailing weather also plays a big part in the experience at the tune at the time of your visit. I think the review is unfair, uses some strong assaulting words, and suggests that we have deceived our guests. We have had many satisfied repeat customers and all the quotes and feedback are unedited. We have continued to upgrade and regularly invest in keeping the cabin in top shape. Just this month we have done a full replacement of both central air conditioners, a substantial expense, but providing reliable climate control for our guests us our goal. Unless you have tried to build something like this in the country, you will unlikely appreciate the investment required to build and upkeep such a cabin. Our rates reflect what it takes to maintain this building and provide an enjoyable experience for the majority of our guests. I'm sorry you couldn't manage to get to the creek. I hope you were following the directions we post in our binder and not attempting to negotiate the rock firebreak to the SE of the cabin. The actual road picks up outside the gate and has never been an issue for our guests, although occasionally they've encountered a fallen tree blocking the way after a storm. A quick call to staff can usually handle that. There are seats for eleven in the den, but of course they aren't all big comfy upholstered chairs.
