Welcome to the Honua Kai Resort and Spa, Maui's newest luxury beachfront resort. Located in West Maui, North Ka'anapali Beach has been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world. This complex is simply amazing and comprises 43 acres of manicured tropical landscaping. The Honua Kai has open-air lobbies with ocean views, a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, an infinity pool with cabanas, aqua loungers, and hot tubs, a lazy river, a kids area pool with sand bottom, grotto, and a water slide, all overlooking the backdrop of the Ocean.

Our suite is in the newer Konea tower on the quiet side of the complex overlooking tranquil Honoapi'ilani Park which offers more privacy while still providing views of the Ocean. Check out our pictures. Our Konea tower has the gym, the spa and the Whalers Store all on the first floor.

Ho'ola Spa is available in our Konea tower. From massage & special treatments plus the Himalayan Salt Spa room, it has it all. The state-of-the-art gym is also located in Konea Tower.

The suite is the large 915 sq. ft. unit two bedroom one bath, with huge bathroom including double sinks in the bathroom. It features some ocean views from the huge 175 sq. ft. lanai. This is "turn-key" with a gourmet kitchen with every utensil supplied and featuring Bosch stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed plus an HD TV, a huge ensuite bath with a separate shower and tub, and his and hers sinks. The living room has a queen-size pull-out couch, 4K smart TVs & a dining room area. The 2nd bedroom features a queen bed with a dresser and 4K Smart TV and the den has doors for added privacy.

Looking for the ultimate in scenery and relaxation? The Honua Kai has it all. Walk or jog the boardwalk to Whaler's Village or snorkel at Black Rock. Relax by the pool.

Great Location, and the pictures represent what the place looks like. The balcony and view are of the public park and hotel. If you don't have an ocean view, it's better to be on the other side, as this offers a more resort view, but for the price, it was great. It is near the elevator, and the small bedroom is right next to it. If there is much traffic at night or early morning, you will hear it from the room. Not loud but noticeable. So if you're a light sleeper, make sure you're in the primary room. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay there again.

This condo is perfect for us and our teenage son period it had everything we needed, and is at the beautiful Honua Kai Resort. Ownerscwere si nice and quick to answer any questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location, beautiful property, could use a cleaning

We loved the resort grounds. The location was perfect. The owner was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. The kitchen had mostly everything you would need for cooking. Our only complaint was that the condo could use a deep clean. When paying high rates, you expect high quality, and most of it was, but there were definitely some things that were not clean . When we opened the pull out couch, the linens were gross. It had what appeared to be blood stains on the comforter. The couch itself was filthy. The carpet in the living room was also gross. It needed a good scrub down. However, there was a washer and dryer in the unit and we cleaned the linens before we slept. Overall, it was a great stay, just wish it were cleaner.

We are a family of 4. Two adults and two teens. We had plenty of room to spread out and all the amenities we could need. The condo is beautiful and our hosts were available for any questions. The lanai was the perfect spot to relax and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The resort was gorgeous and everything one could possibly need was nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property!

This unit was perfect for our holiday and our family -2 adults, 13, 11 and 7. The location was terrific and the extras (beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards) included were great for the beach. Jill and Terry replied immediately to the few questions we had while we were there. Check in and check out were seamless. We will definitely recommend it and hope to be able to come again.

Perfect condo for families

The condo was ideal for our Hawaii vacation. We are a family with two kids and the proximity to the pool, beach and restaurant met all of our needs for an easy and fun filled experience. A perfect spot in Maui

Amazing!!!

My family and I traveled to Hawaii for my daughter’s graduation present. This property is awesome. I will definitely be back next year. Probably without our adult children. It has everything you could possibly need to make your own meals. Plus they provide chairs and other beach accessories. There is only one bathroom but it’s huge with a shower and tub and double sinks. I absolutely loved the design of the place. Plus the pools were great. We had to rent the casabellas but it was worth it. Every thing was made easy. Any questions we had were answered quickly and 5G internet was provided. Thank you, Jill and Terry!! We had an amazing vacation! Hope to be back next year.

Perfect stay!

We loved this condo and Honua Kai. We had a great time and really enjoyed the resort and all that Maui has to offer. We loved our days at the resort being lazy by the pool or boogie boarding at the beach. We love to snorkel and were excited to find sea turtles while snorkeling right at the resort. The closet full of beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and toys were nice to have for our days that we ventured out. Owners were very easy to work with and helped with changing dates due to covid during the summer of 2020. Overall, it was a great stay and we are ready to plan our next trip!

Amazing condo, well furnished, great view, fantastic property!

From when we booked the reservation through the days before check-in and right before check-out, Jill and Terry were in constant contact with us, proving all the information we needed to make our stay as great as possible. The condo is exactly as was described. It is on the 4th floor in the Konea tower of the Honua Kai resort. It is very spacious with a full kitchen, large living area with a pull-out sofa bed, large balcony with seating for 6, a queen bedroom, huge bathroom, and a queen bed in the den. We booked this particular condo due to the separate 2nd bedroom (den) so that we could close off our kids when they go to bed early. There is a washer and dryer, which we didn't use as we were only there for 6 days. There is also a closet with a ton of beach stuff (full sized cooler, lots of boogie boards, 2 snorkeling masks, inflatables for the pool, football, basketball, and other toys. The full sized french door freezer/fridge worked great for our stay and already had several condiments from prior guests (salad dressing, mustard, ketsup, jelly). The ice maker works fine for making drinks but as with any newer appliance, doesn't make enough to fill a cooler. Not listed in the description was that a regular 12-cup Mr. Coffee maker is there and uses standard filters (not the cone type). We lucked out and brought the correct filters with us and left extras behind. The condo is stocked with all the plates, bowls, silverware, glassware, etc. that you should ever need. We never used the stove/oven, but there were baking supplies too. The condo was very clean and in excellent condition. The whole tower looked like it had been renovated within the past few years and was in excellent condition. Was really nice to have underground covered parking and easy in/out. The pools at the Honua Kai are AMAZING for families! There is an adult pool, lazy river pool, huge kid pool with an awesome waterslide and waterfalls, and an infinity pool. We bounced around between all but the adult pool since we had our young kids with us. The slide is amazing and not just a simple short slide I've seen at other resorts. Our kids literally spent all day going down the slide over and over and over. Their are also too many hot tubs to count. There are several near or part of each of the pools, which was awesome for parents. We could sit in the hot tub and night and watch our kids swim in the pool. Overall, an amazing experience that will not disappoint!

Quiet, clean, great location

Stayed in this condo for a week. Terry and Jill are quick to respond and are great with communication. Check in was easy, plenty of parking and condo is close to the elevator. The condo is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Wish there was more kitchen cabinet space but the pantry closet has space for extras. Beach chairs and extras are helpful. We loved the location so close to shopping and walking path.

Home from home

We had everything we needed and then some. The pools were great and we spent most of the days here. We ate out most of the time, but it was great to have a full kitchen. Cons: the bed in the den squeaks a lot. Outside the condo, there is some type of construction going on. Didn’t really bother us since we were awake and out early.

(cliched but true) We scouted out several areas in Maui but found that the combination of easy access from the airport, beachfront access, proximity to shopping, Whaler's Village and Lahaina made the location ideal. When you add in all that the Honua Kai Resort has to offer is was a 'no brainer'.

Why they chose this property

This unit is amazing if you want 2 bedrooms with a great layout.

What makes this property unique

The extra Bedroom is a lifesaver when you have kids or are traveling with friends. This room has queen bed, doors, closet, chest of drawers and HD TV.
We love gourmet cooking and we find that having a fully stocked kitchen with everything from the salad spinner to the martini shaker was ideal for us. When we land at OGG we grab the rental car and then drive 1 block to Costco and load up. In the afternoon we will relax by the pool and then usually hit Duke's for a cocktail and an appie and listen to a little live Hawaiian music. We follow that up with some time on our lanai before either firing up the stove or heading to the bar-be-cue areas that feature many Viking Grills.If dining out is the plan we take a stroll down the boardwalk to one of many restaurants along the way or head into Lahaina. The boardwalk that separates the Honua Kai from the beach also comes in handy in the morning. We like to grab a coffee at Aina Market and take a leisurely stroll towards Black Rock and Whaler's Village. For those that love to run or jog the boardwalk is a scenic treat.
