Married 42 years with 5 children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Raised our family in Morgan Hill Where Lito worked at San Disk and Peggy as a teacher. Moved to Sacramento to be near our children. Love meeting people and sharing our 'park-like' property
Peggy Seva purchased this cottage in 2011
This property is just a treasure. Was once the site of a Maidu native American village. We feel like we are in a remote location...but in reality we are close to so much. Many large oak trees with rolling hills. Guests enjoy hanging out at the river beach to cool off and enjoy the tranquil setting.
My favorite spot is the table in front of the wine cave...or maybe it is the grinding rocks or the river...so many little places to enjoy.
My children would say it is the warm summer-evening get togethers that we have had at the pool under the misters. The scent of the wisteria fully in bloom...many, many reasons to love this place.
My husband and I opted for this rental instead of a typical hotel/motel room while we were in town for some medical treatments. The location was convenient (only 15 minutes) and the setting is very peaceful. The unit is a guest house on a larger modern ranch style property.(newer buildings, paved driveway, scuplted landscaping). The unit is tastefully appointed with a combination of antiques syle and modern furnishings including granite tile, stainless aplliances and hardwood flooring. The master bed is very very comfortable with memory foam mattress. There is television in the living room with limited movie channels. I wish there were coasters for my glass because I didnt want to leave a ring on the wood coffee & end tables. There were plenty of blankets and throws for the cold rainy storm we endured. There is no wifi so I used my phone to hookup to the internet for some work. There is also HVAC that kept the temp confortable. We both loved the " history of music" mural and the yummy banana bread hot out of the oven by Peggy. I was also impressed that the dogs didnt bark or want to greet us " exitedly" when we arrived or as we came and went for our needs. Town is only 5 minutes to groceries, services, and wine tasting. The very minimal things that kept me from giving 5 stars were the housekeeping details. There was obviously a child that stayed previously who had food on his/her hands and played on the wall and light switch near the kitchen. Tiny hand print evidence on the smeared wall. Dried food particles on the kitchen faucet. Downstairs shower clean, but residue from cleaning left. I am chemically sensitive so it irritated my feet and hands when I rinsed it away before showering. Lightbulb out in master bath vanity. Living room area rug bunched up with love seat pushed upon it. Small details that most wouldnt mind. The master bathroom also has a motion light that come on when you enter. This is really cool unless you need to get up 15 times a night, that can be distracting to whomever is sharing the bedroom with you. All in all, we would both love to stay here again. The peaceful surroundings and lovely home were very appropriately priced and inspired us with our own ideas for a guest unit we are planning to build. Thank you Peggy and Lito for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.
Lovely property and home in Lincoln, a country delight. Impressive trees, rocks, and creek. Well-equipped kitchen. King sized bed in master bedroom.
Peggy and Lito were so gracious and welcoming, we were given warm pumpkin bread at our arrival. The house, the grounds, the creek all very nice. Close to shopping, but in the country! Would definitely recommend and rent again!
We came for a girls get-a-way! This country home is beyond amazing! The sounds of the creek nearby as you sit out and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck. Walks through country nature, ending the day poolside. This place is a hidden gem! We will be back!
Thank you Peggy and Lito for your hospitality, Your property is beautiful.
The property is beautiful with a perfect creek running in the back. The dogs loved it. Peggy and her husband are wonderful people. They were very accommodating and responded to any extra needs we requested. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.
Thank you to Peggy and Lito for sharing your beautiful property with us for your recent vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the grounds and pool were so wonderful during the very hot weather. There were 4 adults sharing the guest house and there was plenty of room for all. The house is nicely equipped with everything needed and having air conditioning on the main and upper floors sure helps out during the heat.
The location was excellent to many local activities and we chose the home due to the proximity to Thunder Valley Amphitheatre where we were seeing a few summer concerts. Peggy and Lito recommended we see Old Town Auburn and Old Town Sacramento...and both we very enjoyable places to visit. It was nice to be out in the country in the evening and hear peace and quiet...as well as get to see all of the local wildlife, including the family dogs.
Thank you again...we hope to be back one day as there is much more to do in the area and we simply ran out of time.
