We had a wonderful stay! The house is absolutely lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The host was super accommodating and made the entire experience seamless.

Great place to escape!

It was perfect! The host was kind and was extremely accommodating. All of my 8 staff, were extremely happy and enjoyed the stay. I’m looking forward to my company’s future retreats there.

Family gathering

Wendy is very quick to respond and made herself available. The property is very nice. Wonderful for gathering family to get away. I recommend this property for a peaceful weekend.

Funeral of beloved uncle

The home and property are beautiful. Host is very responsive. It is about 15 minutes from the closest store, so plan accordingly. We had a great time playing cards around the large dining room table. Comfortable beds and nice big fluffy towels!

Beautiful weekend

This house is even lovelier in person than in the pictures. We had three families stay together, with children ranging from college aged to babies, and it never felt crowded. Everyone had a wonderful time, both indoors and out. The location feels remote, but shopping other venues are easily accessible. Our kids especially loved spending time at the lake. Beds were very comfortable, and Wendy was very responsive, accommodating to special requests, and solicitous about our comfort. Would 100% recommend.

Family Spring Getaway!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Vrbo rental! The property was exactly as described in the listing—clean, well-maintained, and full of charm. The host was fantastic—very communicative and responsive, always answering questions promptly and going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cook and bakeware you could possibly need, and there were plenty of spices to help elevate any meal.One of the highlights of our stay was spending time outside. The space was perfect for our group, and we had a blast playing games and simply enjoying each other’s company in such a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a beautiful, well-equipped getaway with a thoughtful, attentive host!

Beautiful, relaxing, accommodations for big family!

This was a lovely home. I was worried as I was having my whole family meet up and we needed a place where we could all stay together! This was the perfect place. We all were able to have our own rooms and there was no lines for the bathroom, it has a great game room everyone enjoyed. It was lovely, clean, and spacious. It has an incredible back patio with fireplace, seating, grill, and dining area that everyone enjoyed. The host was very thoughtful and provided briquettes, first aid kit, which I needed for the blisters from the fair, they even left a nice bottle of wine to name a few things. I highly recommend this host and home. Everything was easy from check in to check out and if given an opportunity to be back in the area I will absolutely be returning!

Beautiful Property

We had a large 5 family group celebrating the end of our homeschool year learning about CA history. This was a perfect central location for that! We visited Sutter's Fort, Sutter's Mill, The Capital, RR Museum, Gold Bug Mine & downtown Placerville. The house was perfect for the families with kids that ranged from 1.5 to 16y. The property was amazing and the kids spent soooo much time just running around and being kids. We saw deer almost every day! Some of us walked to the lake and it's super close. The lake did not have a beach at that location but did have rocks to hang out. Which wouldn't work well for younger kiddos but older kiddos would like it, and there was a small dock to swim out to. There is a beach about 15/20 minutes away that you can drive to that also has huge floats to rent for just 30/hr. Bonus, we had something break while we were there and it was fixed within 12 hours! The hosts were SUPER responsive.
