About the property

3 Bed, 2 1/2 Bath Country Home W/ 3 Outdoor Spaces In New York

We have a lovely, multi-story and spacious townhouse on the upper east side of NYC. Our home is fairly unique; it is not an apartment but rather a home with outdoor space in the middle of this amazing city! Our home has 3 spacious bedrooms, two of which have patios. The third bedroom is on 2 levels, housing a loft area as well as a small sitting room. We have a washer-dryer in the home, as well as a piano, multiple TVs, a fully stocked kitchen, and of course, WIFI.

The house is laid out so that there is an abundance of privacy if you want it, but also a cozy but large living area for group activities. Lastly, we live in the house throughout the year and so it has a very comfortable and 'homey' feel to it...personal touches are everywhere!

The house is also located within walking distance of Museum Mile--including the Met and the Guggenheim-- as well as many restaurants, supermarkets, stores, and nightlife. The reservoir at Central Park is a 10 minute walk. A brand new subway line, located just around the corner, gives you easy access to the entire city, including Grand Central Station, Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler building, the South Street Seaport and many more tourist attractions. Imagine getting on the first stop of the newly built line, and finding a seat without any pushing, in this era of overcrowded NY subways.

We are also generally nearby should you need any help in our home, or any advice as to where to go and what to do! We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy our little piece of heaven in the middle of this wonderful city.

Just one more thing. We prefer longer term rentals, a month or longer. Please contact us to discuss a special rate.

About Jan Correa

My daughter along with friends from around the world have enjoyed living in our home for a number of years. We are currently exploring other areas of the world and are happy to share our home with those who will enjoy and love it. We call it the safe it has been an oasis in the city for many of our friends and family over the years.

Jan Correa purchased this townhome in 1996

Why Jan Correa chose Yorkville

The location is close enough to traditional sites - yet calm and peaceful. It is rare to have a house in the city that allows easy access to public transportation yet offers the serenity of our home. If you need access to private schools, some of the universities, they are within walking distance - and LGA is 15 minutes away for an easy commute. Museum mile is around the corner - as is Central Park, Carl Shurtz Park, or a walk or bike ride along the East river.

What makes this townhome unique

Outdoor space allows for outdoor eating - if you have a trained dog, we welcome him or her....and they will love the proximity to the park.

Fantastic Property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for us as a family with friends also staying. There is plenty of space for everyone and with everything you could need in the kitchen and house.

Jan and Sabrina could not be more helpful and accommodating.

So close to Central Park made it great with kids and 3rd and 2nd both had heaps of dining options.

The rooms are all great size and I was pleasantly surprised that the house is even more spacious than the photos show.

Thanks again Jan and Sabrina for letting us into your fantastic Property. It made our stay so much better than we expected. We will be back.

Lindísima la casa. Todo cómodo, amplio y funcional.

Muy buena ubicación. Barrio tranquilo, cerca del subte. Cerca del Central Park y los museos.

Y lo mejor de todo, las propietarias! Jan y Sabrina. Siempre estuvieron dispuestas a contestar nuestra más mínima inquietud.

Gracias a ambas!

Casa muy agradable

  • 5 of 5

Awesome Upper East Side Home

  • 5 of 5

My family (2 parents, 2 12 year old boys) stayed here in June 2015 for a vacation week. This is a wonderful Upper East Side house, close to subway, restaurants, and groceries. I recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, quiet HOME to serve as your base of operations for exploring New York. Read on for details.

Booking - Booking was easy. The owner calls each guest before finalizing booking to describe the property and get comfortable with the renters. This is a nice touch, and exactly what I would do if I were renting my home.

Arrival - The owner's daughter met us at the home to let us in, go over the house, and help us find our way around the neighborhood. This was very helpful, and we mostly stuck to her recommendations throughout the week. Nice touch.

The Home - Beautiful place. I can't stress enough that this is a HOME, not just a decorated rental property. There are family pictures don't kid's artwork on the walls. We really felt like we were house sitting for friends!

The house itself is very nice. Again, it's a house not an apartment. There are 4 floors, with no one above or below. The first floor is kitchen, living, dining, patio, and powder bath. Floor 2 is a bedroom with bath, floor 3 is the master with bath. And floor 4/5 is a loft with a big TV, futon and bed. (This is where my kids lived). The house looks over a courtyard, shared with the building down the street (I think). The place was very spacious, very nice, and very quiet.

Neighborhood - The house is located on a relatively quiet street, but is a short walk from lots of stuff. The neighborhood seems to be family oriented, based on who was in the street. Groceries are 2 minutes away. Restaurants are 3 minutes away (Bagel Express has the best bagels I've ever had). The subway is 6 minutes. Central Park is 10-15. Cabs are easy, either right out front or half a block away.

In summary, if you are looking for a small place right in the heart of Times Square, this is not the place. But if you want a large, quiet, home oasis to serve as your starting point for exploring New York, this is your spot.

Great upper east side apt!

  • 5 of 5

stayed here with my husband, sister, and our two children and it was perfect. The two primary bedrooms are lovely with good beds in each and a bathroom attached to each. The girls stayed in the loft space, equipped with double bed, TV, and futon. They could shut themselves off up there - the top floor of the apartment - and we could hang out in the living/dining area and have adult time. The living room is also big enough that we could spend time there comfortably as a family.

Everything you need is provided and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the right things. The floor to ceiling windows in the living room, looking out on a private patio, bring an entire outside dimension into the apartment, even when one can't actually spend time out there if the weather is bad. The master bedroom also has a small patio and huge windows looking out on a courtyard. The apartment is amazingly quiet since the living area and master bedroom are tucked in the back, away from the street.

There are lots of great shops in the area, including a great bakery and a wine/cheese shop within a few blocks.

The owner could not be more welcoming, warm, and accessible. It was extremely easy setting up the rental and touching base with her via email or phone as needed. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
