Seperate In- Law Unit In The Oakland Hills

2 bedroom with full bath in-law unit available. Separate entrance from our backyard. Spacious 2 rooms. First room has king size bed, second room has a bed that convert from a twin to a full size bed , Large flat screenTV, full size refrigerator, Stove top and Microwave. Updated bathroom has shower, sink and toilet.
Amenities include shampoo, soap, blow dryer, Iron, toothpaste, towels, toilet paper and more....
Our price includes cleaning fees.

We are located right off Hwy 13 in Oakland which is very centrally located and in a safe neighborhood. We have lots of free parking in front of our house. We are 10 miles from Downtown San Francisco, 30 miles from San Jose and 40 miles from Napa or Sonoma. We have regular bus service that goes to our BART train station and downtown Oakland. We are 2 blocks from Grocery and drug store. We have tons of hiking and biking trails close by and a nice view from our house.

We like to welcome our guest off with some basic food and drinks such as bottled water, fruit and snacks.

We also have a swing in the backyard and an area outside for smokers. We would love to spoil you so hope you book with us.

You can use our Mountain bikes, camping gear, BBQ grill and more.
We have Comcast wifi and full cable TV including HBO, Showtime and Cinemax. We also have been known to give guest a lift or let them use our Gourmet kitchen at times

We typically greet our guest upon arrival and provide them with information on our accommodation. We love meeting new people but at the same time respect our guest privacy so we leave it up to the guest on how much interaction they would like. We also pride ourselves as local experts in where to go and what to do. Especially when it comes to food and wine.

We have plenty of free street parking. The bus is 2 blocks away and goes to the BART train. We also use casual carpool which takes us for free to San Francisco every weekday morning.

The Best

This was the best place I have ever stayed with the most incredible people. The place is so clean and beautiful with a breathtaking view. I highly recommend Chris and Lea's place. 5 stars.

Great location and excellent hosts.

The owners were warm and friendly. It was great, especially when they turned up the thermostat to help me adjust to the first few days of chilly Bay Area weather. Everything I needed was provided. I especially loved sitting in the garden swing enjoying the sunshine. Will definitely return again.

Redwood wedding

We came for a niece’s wedding in the redwoods. This place was minutes away and close enough to tour San Francisco. It was an awesome place!

COMFY APARTMENT WITH VIEW OF BAY!

Apartment was more than large enough for 2. Comfortable and well-appointed, with pretty garden to discretely party in without any hassles...lovely owner gave us as much privacy as we wanted! Out of the bustle, but nice view of Bay and close to highway.

Wonderful in-law apartment

When we arrived, we were greeted by Chris, who is a fantastic host- just the best. If you need anything, he's available and happy to go the extra mile to meet your needs. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, which is very important to us and something we are very picky about. It's much larger we expected as well, with lots of space in the bedroom and living room, with thoughtful touches throughout. There's also a great patio area right at the front, both covered and out in the sun for any kind of weather. Location is also great, with super easy parking and quick access to highways, grocery stores and restaurants. All in all, it's a great unit in an excellent location.

Perfect getaway spot!

From the moment we arrived, Chris and Lea were wonderful hosts! From the stocked kitchen to the warm welcome, and the gorgeous little honeymoon surprise, we loved this place. Situated in a great area, close to redwood forests yet a short drive to San Fran itself. We had a few days to explore and even joined our hosts on a great day out at a beer and BBQ festival. Highly recommended. Plenty of street parking and lots of room to spread out in the unit. We wouldn't hesitate to come back here and spend some more time hanging out on the deck and exploring the area! Thanks again to Chris and Lea for hosting us, we won't forget it :)

Perfect for what I needed.

Comfortable bed and clean. That’s what I needed the most. Some nice extras like beer in fridge, snacks and multiple ways to make morning coffee. Attention to details to make for a nice stay.

Wonderful!!

We have enjoyed our stay and wanted to thank the Host Chris and Lea. The apartment was better then the pictures. Large,clean and very safe. It was close to all major intersections and 12 min to the Ferry. We parked our car for the week and took Lyft to the Ferry boat. We hit everything in San Fran from Golden Gate park to Golden Gate Bridge. We ate Chinatown and Japantown. The Ferry takes you to Pier 41 or the Ferry Building. from there you can get anywhere. The best part was coming back to the perfect evening in the apartment.

Quaint and comfortable

It was easy to get to and convenient for us. Quiet neighborhood and felt safe. Chris provides basic food items which was nice. Beds are very comfortable. We would stay here again when we return to the area.

Welcoming Abode

Out of all the different places I have stayed in Oakland for work, this was the most comfortable and enjoyable. It was exactly what I needed for my stay. And I felt very welcomed by my hosts. I hope to stay here anytime I am in Oakland.

Great location for our visit!

We had a week-long family event nearby and this was a clean, comfortable, and very convenient location for us. We arrived very late at night but had warned the hosts and it was no problem. They left us a nice peach-blueberry crumble too!

Great accommodations in the East Bay

We loved our stay and appreciate all the little touches that the owners have done to make guests welcome. The apartment is probably best for a couple; there is one comfortable king size bed; in another room is a single bed but that room also has the big TV and kitchenette area as well as the bathroom. But families would also be comfortable with a child in the single bed. The location is up in the Oakland Hills; very quiet and peaceful at night. Easy access to Oakland, or to San Francisco across the bay. Highly recommended!

Great location and layout

My husband and 2 kids had a great stay in this in-law unit. We loved the location (including street parking!). The layout worked well for us. The unit is very clean and we appreciated the extras like snacks, extension cord, etc. We plan to be back!

Perfect for our needs

We had a wonderful stay at Chris and Leah’s place! They are lovely hosts who are deeply invested in making their guests feel comfortable. There are many thoughtful perks like a water cooler (great for filling our water bottles for day trips) coffee, a few drinks and some snacks. Also, great that they have lotion. I brought my own bc most rental don’t have this, but it was nice to see. Beautiful location close to all the places we wanted to visit. We’d definitely stay with Chris and Leah again!

Great!

This property was very comfortable, private and quite. In a nice neighborhood and close to a major highway. The owners were welcoming and easy to get in touch with if necessary. We'll be back!

Great place to stay!

We stayed at this property for 6 nights with our 14 year old grandson. The apartment was an ideal situation as our grandson was able to have his own bedroom with a TV in it. Chris & Lea were fantastic hosts and welcomed us from the very start with a plate of homemade quesadillas (Yum!) Lea continued to spoil us as the week went on. Chris was always available and very helpful with info about how to move about the city and which sights to see. The unit was clean, nicely decorated, with VERY comfortable beds. The kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked with everything that we needed. The neighborhood was safe and plenty of room to park in front of the house. The unit is centrally located, & we were never in the car for much more than 1 hour at a time. We traveled as far south as San Jose, north to Sonoma, and of course across the bridge into San Francisco. I highly recommend renting this unit over a hotel due to the personal touch you will receive.

Better than expected!

My business partner and I were seeking a place that was a home away from home for a week of intensive meetings all over the Bay area. Chris and Lea's place was perfect! Everything you can imagine in a home and great hosts to add to the experience. There was enough food in the fridge to get us started until we got to a grocery store and Nespresso capsules to satisfy my European coffee needs! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom fully stocked in case you forget your personal supplies. We had a car so can not speak to the convenience of the mass transit system. The grocery store is not far away and we went into town to use the laundry facilities. I would highly recommend this property and these owners if you are looking for a place to stay in the Bay Area outside of the expensive hotels and crowded city.

Great

Chris and leah were great hosts, very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. Make sure you are aware that there is no laundry and dishwasher in the unit - which is the reason I did not give 5/5 rating otherwise I am sure you will have excellent experience.

Excellent area, property and hosts

We had the privilege of staying at the house of Chris and lea in June and part of July. When we first saw the house, we noticed that it is located in a nice area, safe, clean and quiet. We were welcomed from the beginning by Chris and Lea, and we from day one knew how these kind people are generous, caring, and warm. Their generous hospitality is overwhelming. We were later lucky enough to have the chance to really get to know them closely and see more of their good unique qualities, we felt as we were within our own family. We enjoyed a couple of evening together with Chris and Lea and got the chance to taste and exchange food of different cousins Thanks Chris and Lea Regards, Omar and Family

Roomy and comfortable

Our stay was very enjoyable. The property was very clean and well stocked with basic items. Every creature comfort you can think of was supplied, right down to beach towels, flip flops, and umbrellas! Chris was very helpful and accommodating. I especially like that he listed nearby businesses that a traveler might need (i.e. Safeway-food, laundromat, restaurants). Definitely pleased with his recommendations. I would definitely consider renting this place again when I go back to Oakland, even though the Wi-Fi signal in the lower level was a little sketchy. Worked beautifully in the bedroom, not so good for us in the living area. Also, the approach to the rental from the street is a little tough to navigate. However, the Wi-Fi is the only reason we did not give this rental 5 stars. Chris, thanks for a great place to hang our hat while visiting our daughter.

Amazing Hosts!

Chris and Lea are amazing hosts! They provided everything we needed and then some. The property was beautiful and we were more than comfortable throughout our stay. They even left something for us to eat as we had a late arrival. They provided plenty of linens for the bed and bath and had things we may have forgotten, such as toiletries, toothbrushes, and razors. The refrigerator was even stocked with some basic necessities such as coffee, butter, eggs, etc. Although they live upstairs from the apartment they rented, we had plenty of privacy. Great place to stay and we can't wait to go back and see them again!
