Dusty, humid, cold, unhealthy overall
We ran away after 30 minutes in, scared to get sick due to dust in the air and smell old and not cleaned. They did not have a refund policy! They did not care! This has been a hard lesson, we just tried HA for the first time; what a nightmare! How is possible they can sell a studio filled with hundreds old dusty books? Shower hot water was not avail but pushing a dirty button to get hot water 10 minutes after. Bathroom horrible with carpets not adequate for bathroom. Cold (no heating!) and humid. Stay away, not home away!
Quiet, relaxing weekend, beautiful views of the beach
This was a very unique, eclectic property with a great location, stunning views and warm comforts all around!
Sweet escape by the sea
I was happy to find something with “a view” for a last minute, mini getaway. I was even happier when I saw the view in person. Maybe you’ve walked on a beach and seen houses up on a cliff overlooking the water, and wondered, as I have, what it would be like up there. This was my chance to learn that a view from above provides a whole new perspective on just how many sea lions are swimming in the surf, and realize I never hear the calls of hundreds of Western Grebes on the water when I’m walking on the beach, because the sound of the waves crashing covers it up. It’s wonderful to hear both the waves and the birds!
I travel with binoculars, so want someplace that accommodates my nature watching needs. I also like to feel safe, and this time, I needed to have a place for my small dog, too. It was perfect to have a small, fenced yard, and I could bird watch in my pj’s! The studio is a cozy space. The decor is eclectic and fun, and looks as depicted. There are wonderful windows around, and blinds and curtains to close for darkness and privacy. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom/shower was clean and attractive.
The outdoor space was creative and fun. We are regular campers, and this felt like the best of glamping. The mini fridge has no freezer—not a problem for us, but we joked that if we had bought ice cream, we would have had to eat it all. We found some ground coffee there, although we had our own, and a grinder. There was a Mr. Coffee and filters, that we used, as well as a French press and a percolator. The hot plate was dandy, and we made our breakfast with it each morning. I found plenty of pots and pans. As it is an outdoor kitchen, I was sure to wash some Earth-kissed items before I used them. There are plenty of dishes, everyone is sure to find a mug shape that pleases them, a small crock pot, a toaster oven, an effective toaster, plenty of paper towels, dish soap, and dish towels. I loved the use of space, and feel inspired now to put a utility sink in my own backyard, along with some cute counters.
There was some work being done in the yard, but the workers arrived not too early in the morning, and were very respectful of our presence. The design of the space allowed us to continue drinking coffee in privacy while they were working. We didn’t know they were coming, but we planned to be away that afternoon, so it was no problem. Overall, we had much more privacy than at a hotel, and easy communication with the host.
Very nice studio, AMAZING view. Host was very quick with replys to questions and was very good about personal space (didn't see her the whole time!). It was raining and still so beautiful. Thanks for the great stay! Would recommend to couples looking for a close space to spend some quality time. Beach was super close (to physically go there), the view of the beach and the ocean = impeccable.
If you want ocean front and panoramic ocean views this is a great getaway!
