PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:The home is located on a lushly landscaped lot in PGA West and there are mountains everywhere you look. The home is perfectly situated to capture breathtaking and dramatic panoramic views of the mountains. There are mountains on every side of the home and you are surrounded by beautiful fairways, lush landscaping and panoramic views that go on forever.

INTERIOR: The interior of the home was completely remodeled in March of 2014 with designer furnishings, accessories and top of the line finishing.

The first things you see when walking into this beautiful entry are the floor to ceiling panoramic picture windows that go on forever. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the home is open, bright, dramatic and modern. The floors are authentic travertine and the entire home has beautiful molding to accentuate the warm inviting color.

LIVING AREA INCLUDING KITCHEN, DINING, FAMILY ROOM: As you enter the home you are drawn into the living room with its floor to ceiling stacked stone travertine fireplace with a 55 inch Napoleon LHD (linear high definition) gas fireplace insert. The fireplace is both breathtaking and functional. The living room offers ample seating and leather accent chairs. The open floor plan then takes you to the expanded extra-large bar with sink. As you continue on you notice that the home seems to go on forever. Past the living room you will enter the grand dining area with its walls of windows and open airy feel. A gorgeous new chandelier offers warm ambient lighting and the home offers dimmer switches throughout. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8. The kitchen bar has seating for 3. Including the outdoor dining, there is dining seating for 17.

Directly across from the dining area is the large gourmet chef’s kitchen with Center Island, brand new GE appliances including oven, microwave, dishwasher, counter top 5 burner range, state of the art range hood, fridge with water make and ice maker and large oversized sink as well as a wine fridge. The kitchen also has ample lighting and under counter lighting. There is ample cupboard space and nothing has been left out of this kitchen. You won't ever feel like you're missing the action by being in this kitchen. This large kitchen has space for everyone to gather and socialize. The kitchen has beautiful granite counter tops and there is ample counter space which provides the perfect backdrop to preparing a fabulous gourmet meal for your family and friends. The cupboards are fully stocked with all the kitchen necessities. When you go outside you will look straight down a long fairway and right across to the mountains. If you turn around you will see mountains everywhere, the mountains are lit up at night and are breathtaking. The property is surrounded on all sides by mountains.

MASTER BEDROOM: The luxurious and spacious Master Suite (Bedroom 1) features a King-size bed, chandelier, television and sitting area. There is a large walk in closet and a second closet to give you ample space for your wardrobe treasures. Then as you enter the Master Bath get ready to enjoy the double vanities, travertine slab shower and large soaker tub. The Master opens up to its own outdoor sitting area that has a beautiful view of the mountains.

BEDROOM 2: Bedroom 2 features a King bed, a large closet and direct access to its own bathroom with brand new tub and shower. The room also has its own 40 inch flat screen television.

BEDROOM 3: Bedroom 3 features either 2 Twin extra-long beds or can also be a King bed. It also has its own bathroom with brand new shower and the room has a 40 inch flat screen television.

OUTDOOR AREA: As you enter the property you will notice the lush landscaping and the vibrant pink bougainvillea. Bright colors and warm desert sun await you. The golf course facing yard has a living room style covered seating area with loveseat and chairs, dining area and lounging area with chaise loungers.

OTHER AMENITIES: Free high-speed wireless internet. Flat screen TV’s in every bedroom and entertainment music system in the home. The home has central air conditioning, linens and pool towels. There are 3 pools within a one minute walk from the home.

FOR THE PET: The home will allow a small pet (picture of pet required for approval) and there is a lovely dog bed, dog toys, feeding bowls. There is a non-refundable $100 pet fee charge.

Modern, Clean and

We arrived at Merion on Dec 27 from cold and freezing Canada. What a warm and welcoming home this is. Everything was clean, tidy and ready for us to enjoy. We had asked for the plunge pool to be heated which it was and we all enjoyed a dip.

Denise, owner, is very organized and had a guest book with instructions on how to use everything including tv, spa, fireplace and included an inventory of all items. Very clear concise.

The kitchen was well appointed and had inventory photos on the inside of every cabinet. Some might feel this is overkill but it does assist you in locating things quickly and for putting them back after each use.

Generally the home had a number of positives:

It has an open layout is minimally but nicely furnished and a great view to the north of the mountains. It was fully equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen, etc and pleasantly uncluttered.

The yard was also nice and we particularly enjoyed the saline spa, pool and fire pit which were enjoyed immensely. Not all homes in PGA have pools or gas fireplaces.

We were there in the winter and so , with an orientation to the north there was limited sunshine in the afternoon on the yard.

There are a few opportunities for improvement or inclusion:

A set of bicycles would be a nice addition for enjoying the neighbourhood.

When we arrived the hot water was not working (not heating water). We contacted Denise who was able to get someone into the property within a day or so and was able to get it working.

However, the hot water system was very slow to heat the water to the kitchen and master bath , in particular, for some reason and we had to run water for a good few minutes to heat it up. Owner was advised.

Some of the exterior furniture cushions were in bad condition (stains and damaged cushions) and should be replaced;

The bed linen and comforters were clean but, for the price of the rental, could be of better quality.

Pool heat- this is an extra cost for some reason. Again, for the cost- have it included or at least have the tenants have some control over the ability manage it themselves.

Unfortunately our visit ended with a misunderstanding over a holdback from the owner due to "missing" pool towels ( that their cleaner found the next day) and “stains on ALL the sheets” which turned out to be one set that washed out. This was sorted out but because of the way it was handled left us with a sour taste and therefore we will not rent this property again

Owner's Response: As the owner of the property I appreciate all feedback but need to clarify a few things for all future tenants. 1) Pool heat was included, it is included in the rental with a monthly cap. The renter was not charged extra money to heat the pool as the monthly cap is generous enough to allow my guests to be able to use the pool. This is incorrect. 2) All linens are over 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton. The duvet covers are 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton. 3) The renters comment over a misunderstanding over a hold back occurred when the house cleaners reported there were stains on the Master bedroom sheets and the sheets in one of the other bedrooms. I did a small holdback so I could return the majority of the renters deposit. The small holdback was what I needed to do to be able to return the deposit and not have it held up while we sorted out the few minor issues the house cleaners had reported at the checkout cleaning. Instead of the renter being happy I did this she was very upset. I immediately acted by speaking with the house cleaners, I even set up a three way call so the renter could speak directly with the house cleaners. The house cleaners verified that there were stains on the Master Bedroom sheets that did not come out. They also mentioned there were stains on the other bedroom sheets and that they had to hand wash them to get them out and the house cleaners did go to the extra trouble to do that so the renter would only have to pay for the Master bedroom sheets. The house cleaner also verified that they found the pool towels. The renter was only charged for one thing, the Master Bedroom sheets that had the stain. I personally went out of my way to sort this issue out immediately for the renter and to release all her damage deposit funds except a small amount while we looked into the house cleaners report. After speaking on a three way call with the house cleaner we still had to buy new sheets and we only held enough funds to cover that small cost. The issue was dealt with quickly and professionally. We value our guests and we take impeccable care of our home and any issues that arise are dealt with immediately. Thank you , Denise

Fantastic Home

This house is fantastic and I would highly recommend it. The owners were easy to deal with and offered to help with anything during our stay. The house is comfortable and all necessary amenities are provided . The outside has great views of the golf course and mountains and the pool and Jacuzzi are wonderful.

Great Home

We had a very enjoyable holiday weekend. House worked perfect for us! Kids loved watching the golfers while swimming in the pool or eating dinner outside. House was clean and ready for us when we got there. Denise was fabulous and enjoyable to talk with. She made travel very easy and said exactly what to expect when we got to the home. If you are looking for a getaway around a pool or golf weekend, this house is perfect for you. Will be returning in the future if it's available!

Excellent home

Very nice house. Well furnished and a nice remodel. We stayed here six nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The private pool and hot tub were very relaxing. The location was quiet and private. We enjoyed several walks in the neighborhood. Great place for a golf getaway or enjoying the other activities in the Palm Springs area with family and friends.
