Perfect Provence Villa

The villa is a comfortable home with lots of room for our party of 7 with a few days of 9. The location was great for walking into Centre Ville of Aix-En-Provence - about a 20 minute walk. The home was furnished nicely with lots of kitchen essentials for cooking and cocktails! The pool was perfect for the unusual summer heat. We had a couple minor issues that were addressed quickly. The four bedrooms upstairs worked well and the loft suite downstairs was great for young adults. We felt right at home at the villa and thoroughly enjoyed the strolls to Aix and touring the area. We didn’t rent a car while there and we didn’t miss it.

Three week summer vacation

House was lovely and the owner was helpful and friendly. The first week was somewhat overshadowed by the fact that the house clearly wasn't ready for guests. The pool was cloudy and green, the sun loungers hadn't been cleaned in preparation for guests and the house was a bit dusty and required cleaning. There was an issue with the pipes becoming blocked at the start but the owner had contractors round who fixed this issue. The above was a pity as it made the first week much less enjoyable. Once all that was sorted though the house was lovely and we had a great time.

Thank you for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation with us. However, I would like to point out that the house was ready to receive guests. We carry out around 6 hours of cleaning between each rental, and a swimming pool technician comes every week. However, it can happen that during very hot weather, such as this summer, the pool suddenly turns green, or a pipe can become blocked without any prior warning. In such cases, we do our utmost to call in the professionals immediately, and limit the impact on holidaymakers. You've noted this, and I'm grateful to you for it.

Il fait chaud en Sud

We had a fabulous week in this house. The photos don’t do it justice as it’s even better in reality and the kitchen has been recently renovated. The pool was the highlight of the week for the kids in 37 degrees although the pool alarm was faulty and kept going off at random times when it wasn’t set! We hadn’t realised how close the house was to its neighbours and on the week days we had noisy construction as the neighbours were having a new pool installed which wasn’t ideal for us. Plus you can hear other families using their pools etc. If you want to be isolated this isn’t the house for you. Bus in to Aix-en-Provence was really convenient for a quick trip in to town. Chantal was really helpful on check in and check out and was quick to answer any questions we had in the week. The house is really well equipped as I understand it is the owner’s home for most of the year. And I understand the mossies were particularly bad this year - we got eaten alive despite mossie spray, candles and coils!! Was a fabulous week overall with friends and family in a beautiful part of France.

Très bon séjour chez M. et Mme Gout

Nous avons séjourné une semaine en famille dans cette jolie bastide. La maison est très agréable à vivre. Les baignades dans la piscine (28-30 degrés) permettent de se rafraîchir. Hôte très accueillant. Maison très bien entretenue. Un peu plus éloignée de l'hypercentre qu'on ne le pensait pour y aller à pied par fortes chaleurs.

Great location, great house

We loved our stay right outside of Aix. A great house with all the amenities and an amazing pool. Right directly in the center of Aix but so easy to walk into (20 mins) or take a direct bus with a stop in front of the house. Very calm and quiet neighborhood. Didier and Chantal were very receptive to all our questions and the house was in great shape when we arrived. We definitely recommend!

Bon séjour

Nous avons passé un bon séjour, la maison est spacieuse, bien équipée, la piscine et les terrasses sont très agréable. La communication avec le propriétaire etait facile et rapide. Seul bémol : le manque de propreté dans la cuisine, vaisselle, toilettes, télécommande de la TV et interrupteurs. Un bon séjour malgré cela.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Aix avec nos enfants et petits-enfants. La maison est spacieuse et confortable, propre, bien tenue et bien équipée de tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Madame Caldas nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et fourni toutes les instructions nécessaires. Nous avons énormément apprécié la belle piscine par ces jours de grande chaleur. Jolie propriété à 15 mn du centre ville

Nous avons loué cette propriété pour 7 adultes et trois enfants. La location est bien située dans le calme d'une rue sans passage. La propriété est jolie avec une piscine très agréable même par forte chaleur. Une vigne vierge recouvre la pergola sous laquelle vous prenez petits déjeuners et repas confortablement. Le parking à l'arrière de la maison permet de vider les courses facilement et de convoyer sans effort des personnes à faible mobilité. L'ensemble du nécessaire (draps, linge de maison....) est fourni et mis en place lors de votre arrivée. Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable et reposante permettant aux plus jeunes comme aux plus vieux de se retrouver sans être à l'étroit. Les activités extérieures, avec ou sans voiture, sont multiples puisque vous êtes dans Aix. L'ensemble de la transaction s'est parfaitement déroulé avec les propriétaires. Merci encore.

Grande maison très pratique et fonctionnelle pour une grande famille, belle piscine et expostion

Priorité fonctionnelle, confortable, tres bien exposée et avec une piscine très belle et très bien entretenue dont nous avons largement profité. La piscine est sécurisée. Climatisée et très bien équipée, nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison avec nos 5 enfants. La maison est située dans un quartier agreable bien que trop éloigné du centre ville pour s’y rendre à pied de façon quotidienne, surtout par forte chaleur. Le bus se situe néanmoins à proximité immédiate (en face) et permet d’acceder au centre ville facilement. L’accueil et le départ par Eulalie fut parfait et agréable.

Excellent place to stay

Our family has spend a wunderfull time at the villa of Mr Gout. It has a perfect, very quite and safe location, close and on walking distance to the center of Aix. The house itself is of high standard with all comfort needed. Garden on the south with large swimming pool, good weather, nothing more is needed to have a relaxing stay.

Une villa agréable à louer en famille

Une villa agréable que nous avons loué pour des vacances en famille. Adultes et adolescents ont eu assez d'espace. La piscine et le jardin sont très agréables. Les chambres sont de bonne taille avec assez de rangements. Environnement calme et proche d'Aix (20 bonnes minutes à pied). qui nous a permis de faire de belles découvertes.
