Cabin 16 is a higher-end 3-BR/3-BA slice of heaven located at the end of the gravel road up in the forested hills. The cabin is completely surrounded by mature woods and trails. Things to do around here??? Mountain/Fat/Snow Bike, Nordic Ski, Hunt/Fish, Snowmobile, Golf, ATV/UTV, Kayak/Canoe, Snowshoe, Hike, Trail Run, Power Boat, and Relax! We feature direct and immediate access from our doors to the Ojibwe singletrack mountain bike (MTB) trail that links into the whole CAMBA MTB trail system, the Westside snow bike trail, and the World Cup Nordic ski trail that gets you into the whole Birkie and North End Ski trail systems. You can literally bike, ski, hike, or snowshoe for days right from the cabin. ***To make your trip to and from the cabin easier: ASK US ABOUT OUR FAT TIRE BIKE and SNOWSHOE TOURS, EQUIPMENT RENTALS, and APPAREL SALES THRU OUR AFFILIATED COMPANY, UP NORTH GUIDED TOURS, LLC. Call 715/413-2076 and ask for Josh. We have great guides, top-notch equipment, soft goods, and transportation!*** Another location perk is that most of the trails to the South of the cabin are on Public Land, which means they double as Hunting Grounds during Hunting Season for those of you who hunt. Further, Cabin 16 is real close to the new Birkie start (which you can ski to from the cabin door on groomed trails), Snowmobile Trail 70, the Telemark Golf Course, the Esker/Danky Dank MTB trails, Namakagon River canoe/kayak/lazy river access at the Cap Creek Landing, and some of the best swimming/fishing/boating lakes in the World; plus the cabin is within off-road bike riding distance to the charming town of Cable. After your outdoor adventure relax in the screened-in rear deck with a book or board game from the cabin library, watch a movie from the cabin DVD collection, take a soak in the tub, or build a fire in the side-yard fire pit and look at the stars. Inside the cabin the wood floors, beams, and ceilings give you that Northwoods feel you love. The cabin is well appointed with many modern amenities and comforts to maximize your enjoyment. The cabin has 3 queen-sized beds, a full kitchen, cable TV, WIFI access, and an office area for those who cannot totally disconnect from the everyday. The cabin comfortably accommodates 6 and affords plenty of space to stretch out. An adult dog is welcome for an extra $75/stay. We are more than happy to provide you with information on the area before your trip begins, and we will email you with information on the cabin a couple weeks before your arrival. We hope you enjoy your stay! :)

About Josh Washlow, Managing Member of Lone Wolf Real Estate, LLC
Spent summers during the 1980s on Lake Owen. Love the area. Small scale hospitality specialist, local trail advocate, fat bike rider, snowshoe enthusiast, canoeist, outdoor adventure business owner and operator, and most important, family man. I blend higher-end accommodations (Cabin 16) with top shelf wilderness outfitting, guiding, and equipment rental services (Up North Guided Tours, LLC).

Why Josh Washlow, Managing Member of Lone Wolf Real Estate, LLC chose Cable
The property and cabin are beautiful and are located directly on the expansive silent sport trail system in the wooded hills that seemingly go on for ever. Untouched spots, off-the-beaten-path, road-less-traveled. Not many places left like this in the lower 48!
What makes this Cabin unique
Outdoor activity right out the door, Northwoods comfort at it's finest right in the door! :). No really: hundreds of miles of silent sports trails from the door, including groomed trails for your Winter fun (Nordic skiing, snow biking, and snowshoeing); and everything you want and need in the cabin and on the property. Access to world class snowmobiling and lower-key river canoeing/kayaking is 1.5 and 2 miles, respectively, from the cabin. Not many spots like this!

Beautiful log home.
Well maintained, clean, comfortable and in a beautiful wooded setting.
cabin in the woods
Bird hunting vacation for Family of four stayed 10 days in the middle of October with colors at their peak. Found the upscale cabin (actually more like a home) to be very well maintained, clean, and with lovely furnishings throughout. Great location at the end of a long lane in the woods. Feels very private even with other cabins scattered throughout the area of the old Telemark Lodge property. Lots of walking trails, short drive into Cable, many fine dining options in the area, but the kitchen and large dining room in this cabin had everything you needed to enjoy eating in. Great screen porch with nice cushioned outdoor furniture. Josh, the owner, was extremely accommodating and very responsive to any needs we had. Really appreciated communications with him! Would highly recommend this property.
Skippy and Mike, thank you so much for the kind words, and we are very happy to hear that you had a great vacation in our neck of the woods. You folks are great guests, you are always welcome back, and we are glad to know that the cabin works well for hunters. Best regards, Josh and Sally
Great place! Thank you!
directions were good, except if you are coming it at night ask for better directions, its kinda hard to find at night and google maps wont work. Place was clean, owner was friendly and accomidating
Magical cabin in the woods at the end of a private road.
Everything you need for a relaxing time in the north woods. We didn't want to leave.
So glad you enjoyed, Sue! Thank you for your kind words. You are welcome back anytime. -Josh
cabin was large and beautiful...my boys loved the mountain biking trails..we loved the large screened in porch.
hope we can stay there again!
Awesome place to stay. The screened in porch and pleasantly cool evenings were our favorite. Swimming was fun at Lake Owen and the Cap Creek canoe launch (our favorite). In the evening an easy hike to the top of telemark ski area and around the abondoned ski runs was enjoyable. At night sitting with family for games and movies! We plan on coming back!
Thank you for your kind words, and so glad you enjoyed your stay! I look forward to having you stay with us again. Enjoy, Josh
Here is a list of the outdoor activities we do Up North: Mountain Biking, Fat Biking, X-C Skiing, Snowshoeing, Sledding, Hiking, Swimming, Canoeing/Kayaking, Boating, Water Skiing, Camping, Hunting/Fishing, and Snowmobiling/ATVing. We like to swim at the Cap Creek Landing 2 miles from the cabin off Telemark Road before County HWY M, but our favorite is the Picnic Grounds at the North end of Lake Owen (use the South and North Lake Owen Drive route to get there at least once=gorgeous). We like to eat out at the the Brick House, Garmisch, Lakewoods, MJ's Millpond (Drummond), and Miller's Sandwich Shop (Hayward). We get most of our food for the cabin at Rondeau's (meat, dry goods, and basic groceries), but we get produce in Hayward and specialty meats at Lynn's in Hayward.
