Crested Butte House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 1.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

The First Street Guesthouse is a unique blend of old and new. Starting with an historic, log cabin that was part of Crested Butte's original Creamery, the home has been architecturally enhanced, with the main part completely new. During construction and renovation, the use of non-toxic, natural building components has earned the home many prestigious awards.

Located just steps from Elk Avenue, (Crested Butte's historic main street). The First Street Guesthouse sits tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. The downstairs opens onto a large entry area and three bedrooms, two with queen-size beds and access to exterior patios. The third bedroom has a twin/trundle bed. All boast cozy goosedown comforters. The large bathroom on this level offers a sumptuous, deep, Japanese, jetted, soak tub and oversize marble steam shower. Nearby is a handy washer and dryer.

The upper level, with it's breathtaking views of mountains in all directions, has a gourmet kitchen with soapstone counter tops and stainless appliances. It flows openly into an eating/gathering bar, dining and living areas, all surrounded by vaulted ceilings. Also on this level are a one-half bath and cozy den with futon for overflow sleeping space.

Outside, there is a lovely, fully-fenced and gated yard ideal for children and even a canine friend. Inside and out, the home is meticulously maintained and offers more than just a homey, comfortable vacation setting. Its owners, 15 year residents of Crested Butte, work hard to ensure its guests a most memorable stay.

Elk Avenue's shops and restaurants are close by. The town's free mountain bus shuttle is little more then a block away. Hiking and Nordic trails are even closer! Because of First Street Guesthouse's ideal location, a car is not required; everything is within easy walking distance, regardless of the season.

We will consider well trained dogs. Please ask us about our dog policy and fees.

I love this home and my family and I return each year to rent this house We love the location to the restaurants and the shuttle to the ski area. The house is very clean and the kitchen is great to cook in. In the summer we can get on the trails just out the door. Our dog loves Peanut lake which is close by. We will be back!

First Street Guesthouse is a Charmer!

  • 5 of 5

The First Street Guesthouse is in a great location off of Elk Avenue and an easy walk to all kinds

of restaurants and shops. We loved the easy access to town and hiking trails while being quiet and peaceful at night. (Nice trail you can walk to up above the Nordic Center)

Elizabeth was a great communicator from start to finish. The historic home is beautifully designed with

lots of light, lovely views, and special unique touches. With the Jennair Stove and well stocked kitchen,

it would be fun and easy to cook a holiday meal for a group. Be sure to try the Japanese Soaking Tub and Steam Shower, what a treat. We found the Guesthouse to be the ideal place for both great fun and relaxing recharge in Crested Butte. Thank you Elizabeth. We hope to be back.

Great location! Wonderful charm and updated decor! Great mountain livin'!

  • 5 of 5

Crested Butte is that quintessential mountain town that is lost somewhere in Colorado's charming past. This home has everything of that and so much more. Historic cabin feel with all the updates. The kitchen was well equipped with a great gas modern stovetop. But who wants to cook when there are such terrific restaurants just around the corner and down the main street on Elk. So very quiet yet close to everything! Especially loved the outdoor fenced-in patio with the 3 bedrooms and bath on the ground floor. (The full bath had a soaker tub AND a steam shower that would be so appreciated in winter.) The open space living on the upper level was perfect for hanging out with family and friends; small 1/2 bath close by so the little one's didn't have to go up and down the stairs all the time. The side TV area/office kept the grandkids entertained when we weren't enjoying all that CB has to offer. A perfect place for 6 adults...even better, 4 adults, 2 kids! We'll be back but I bet this place gets rented most all the time!

Downtown Crested Butte Log Home -

  • 5 of 5

Awesome location literally just around the corner from all the shops and restaurants in Crested Butte. Hiking trails very close by is another huge benefit of renting this home. We were only there for a few nights and didn't cook at all but the kitchen is perfect for preparing meals, with gas range, lots of counterspace and plenty of seating for families. Even though it has only one full bath, the steam shower and the japanese style soaking tub are wonderful and made up for the lack of a second bath. We contacted the owner sort of last minute, long weekend getaway from Boulder and she returned our inquiry very quickly and we were on our way. Grab a cappucino at First Ascent Coffee shop just steps outside the front door. We love Crested Butte and will be back again next summer.

Charming Crested Butte Home

  • 5 of 5

Our first visit to Crested Butte was a success! Elizabeth was very communicative before our arrival. She helped prepare for our visit with our toddler and infant. The home is very kid friendly and had plenty of space for our family of 4 + nanny. The location couldn't be better! Right off Elk with everything you need steps away. The interior is very clean and updated. Beautiful mountain home feel! Can't wait for our next visit!

Excellent Location Just Off Elk Ave, Crested Butte, CO

  • 5 of 5

Best end of Town, best location, at the best end of town, just off Elk Ave. Quiet at night, easy walk to ski bus at Old Town Hall. Easy walk to all shops, great restaurants. Beautiful kitchen, fully stocked with Jenn-Air gas range. Awesome view of the "Butte" from kitchen window. Comfortable beds and furniture, with the best Japanese soaking tub in the master bath:)

We keep coming back to this location year after year and love our time here! Oh ya, almost forgot, did I mention we don't carry our skis and poles around town....this pad comes with its own ski locker at the Treasury Center on the mountain. love it.
