Lovely location on the water

  • 4 of 5

We visit Huron annually to visit relatives, and this is a nice change from staying in a motel or hotel. Nice, clean with a full kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

House is very clean. As pictured. View if lake is relaxing. Enjoyed time on the deck. Although did not use, kitchen well equipped to fix meals. Followed previous visitors suggest and dined at Berardi's. Food very good and reasonably priced. Also visited Tofts, very good icecream. Loved the area of Huron. Thanks.

Absolutely a beautiful, immaculate, cottage with direct access to Lake Erie.

  • 5 of 5

This is my first rental of a house ever on any website and I would have to say if all houses were as clean and well stocked and just as beautiful as this one directly on Lake Erie, then I am hooked on renting houses again. This cottage is just a PERFECT GEM!!! This place could not be more immaculate and clean. It had all the essentials anyone would need, plus some. I am not a coffee drinker, but the owners even had coffee, filters and creamer in the cabinet and we were welcomed with 4 cold waters already in the refrigerator for us upon arrival. I am also grateful the owners had a blow dryer for my hair, as there is always something I forget when I travel.

The owners were not obtrusive at all, actually we probably bugged them more than they ever did us. Ted placed a fishing pole and his tackle box on the front porch for us to borrow, just wish he had told the fish to come bite our bait, but it was fun sitting on the sea wall attempting to catch fish anyways... I have trouble walking so I walk with a cane, so I would like to say to future renters that getting the lake was very easy. There were cement steps all the way down directly to the lake and you could bring a chair and actually fish right off the stone wall. Or you could have sat on the edge and dabbled your feet in the water, I of course didn't want to freeze my feet off so I will wait and do that on another trip when the water is much warmer.

Ted and Jane supplied us with plenty of local menus and if you are looking for a GREAT meal and a reasonable price, then please go to Beradi's Family Restaurant. They truly have the best selection of dinners and you MUST leave with a piece of pie or even a whole pie. I got the peanut butter pie and my husband got the peach, I have to say we have never had better pie ever.... Makes me sad that we will have to wait till the next time to come up there to enjoy this place.

I will wrap this up, as this review is ridiculous long, but again this place is fantastic and the owners are even better.. Don't hesitate to rent this gem of a property. I promise you will not be disappointed...

Sincerely, Chris and Brad R.
