*This is a "shoe free" home. We want all of our guests to have clean carpets, not just the ones the beginning of the busy rental season. If this is something you cannot agree to, please keep scrolling and find a better fit for you.
* During the months of June, July, Spring/Fall Break, and Holidays, Saturday check in and 7 night stays are required.

"Ohana" means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten (Disney's Lilo & Stitch) With this spacious 5 bedroom (sleeps 14), 3.5 bath, with 4 large outdoor decks, you won't have to leave anyone behind! The main pool area is located right out the front door in the cul-de-sac and the beach is only a short 5 minute stroll away. (528 yards)

Our home is located in the upscale Emerald Shores gated community, one of the only neighborhoods in the Destin area that has its own private beach pavilion with restrooms, showers, shaded picnic tables, seasonal bar and beach service. It is a private deeded beach, exclusively for Emerald Shore owners & guests. A seasonal free shuttle service can take you to the beach or you can walk the short distance, through the tropical neighborhood, pulling the beach wagons we provide for your convenience.

MAIN FLOOR:
King Master bedroom suite with a full bath with jetted tub/shower, sitting area, TV.
Guest half bath (toilet and sink)
Laundry room with full size washer and dryer
Living room sitting area with 3 comfortable couches, 60" flat screen Smart T.V , free Wi-Fi, complimentary movies and books.
Completely remodeled kitchen with new appliances, granite countertops, and all the items you need to cook a gourmet meal. The dining table seats 8 and the bar area has seating for 5.
2 outside porch areas with a gas BBQ, patio table and chairs for outside dining, rocking chairs, and benches to relax on. Near the front door is a hose for rinsing off and a patio storage bench full of beach toys, umbrellas, etc..

SECOND FLOOR:
Queen bedroom, sitting area, TV, French doors to covered deck.
Full bath, tub/shower combo, sink, toilet with tile flooring.

All of the bedrooms have sitting areas where you can relax, read a good book, or watch your favorite show. They are all equipped with ceiling fans, TVs with Blu-ray players and comfortable beds. No more backaches on vacation! Each of the bedrooms have French doors that open up onto porches with patio rocking chairs to sit in and soak up the tropical gulf breezes.

The home has a high capacity water heater, two AC units, along with many more upgrades. We offer free Wi-Fi, multiple TVs, DVD and Blu-Ray players and cable TV.
There is also a Graco port-a-crib, highchair and umbrella stroller for your use.

The Ohana Beach House is the perfect place for your family to vacation safely within a gated community, in a quiet cul-de-sac with private driveway for parking (3-4 cars, depending on size) two pools (one heated seasonally), tennis/pickleball court and basketball court. There are several nearby Gulf-front restaurants, shopping, golfing and many family friendly activities. You just can't beat the spectacular white powder sand beach with the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Gulf, all within a few minutes from your front door. We hope our family beach house will become your family's favorite vacation home!

The house was the perfect size for our needs. The host provided wagons and community tram were so helpful going back and forth to the beach with all your supplies. Really enjoyed the pavilion and private bathrooms as well. Mindy was extremely responsive in answering questions in record time. She addressed any issues immediately with a solution and was very easy to work with. Know before you go that no tents are allowed on the Emerald Shores private beach area. Like most places in 30A, it's all about renting umbrellas and chairs. Definitely not the homeowners fault, but be aware and plan accordingly.

Wow!!

Our stay at the Ohana House was incredible! The beach is literally a 3-5 minute walk and it is beautiful! White sands and crystal clear turquoise water. The house is so comfortable and inviting, with balconies on every floor. It is very clean and modern, and includes beach toys and bikes. It is everything you would hope for in a beach vacation get-away and more. I highly recommend this property for your Florida vacation!!

Great Beach house for a Family Reunion

The house was clean, well equipped, close to the community pool and a short walk from the beach. We met our grandparents there and they very much appreciated the master bedroom on the main level. We had our bedroom on the 2nd level with our kids in the bunk room adjacent to that. On the top level, my brother had a bedroom next to a bunk room for his kids, so the house has perfectly segmented living arrangements for sleeping. On the main level there is plenty of space to gather, cook and dine in the open concept living arrangement. We had a great time and plant to return - thank you, Mindy!

Great condo, would definitely stay again.

We have stayed in this neighborhood several times and I do believe we liked this house the best so far. The house is very clean and the furniture is nice and they had everything you could possibly think of as far as cookware. They last house we stayed in didn't even have potholders! The only downside is when you have a house with that many people in it the fridge isn't really big enough to put drinks in with the amount of food. This house layout doesn't really have space for a second fridge but having like a large cooler you could put ice in on the front porch for drinks would be really a nice touch. That's not a complaint, I have no complaints, just a small suggestion. Owner is super nice and accommodating and very communicative. Enjoy your stay, we will be back!

Amazing Family Reunion Thanksgiving Holiday Week on the Emerald Coast

There is a lot to love about this vacation home. It is nestled in the middle of the delightful, gated Emerald Shores neighborhood. So, there is absolutely no traffic noise and it sits in a cul-de-sac across the street from the pool that was heated for the holiday week we were there - a huge hit for the kids and adults alike. The neighborhood is clean, the residents are friendly, the landscaping is impeccable and the architecture of the homes tastefully designed with charming and traditional beach style. The beach is a quick 10 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride and there is a private entrance to the beach with well maintained facilities - bathrooms, picnic tables, showers, etc.. The beach itself is fluffy powder sand with emerald waters, moderate surf and epic sunsets - it a very family friendly laid-back atmosphere. We have stayed in countless beach houses and I have to say that the floor plan and layout of this one is by far the best for two young families and a set of grandparents. We put the grandparents on the main floor, and a different family on each of the two floors above for the perfect balance of family reunion activities together in the open concept kitchen/living rooms and private space to retreat to when desired. Balconies and bunk beds on the middle and top floors also assured that the young cousins in each family didn't have to squabble over equitable sleeping arrangements. The home is very well equipped. There were two beach wagons and lots of beach toys and accessories for kids (and adults) take down to the beach. There are also two cruiser style bicycles available to rent for much less than the rental shops in Destin. The BBQ was a brand new Weber that did not disappoint and the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of specialized cookware for us to pull off a traditional Thanksgiving feast. During evenings and down-time we enjoyed watching DVDs from the house library and played lots of board games available for guests as well. Mindy was very responsive as questions popped up and we couldn't have been happier with how the whole week went - the only disappointment is that it went by too quick! We had a great time, made lasting family memories (including grandpa's 80th birthday!) and will definitely be back in the near future.

We traveled with 3 families with a total of 8 small children. We had everything we needed! The location of the pool was so convenient, the carts and beach accessories were perfect and the kitchen was stocked with anything you needed to prepare food. We loved the gated community and felt safe to let our older children ride their bikes and scooters. We have already talked about going back!

Beautiful spacious home that could accommodate 2 families. Steps away from the heated pool, easy and safe walk to the private beach access with bathrooms. There was thirteen in our party. Plenty of sleeping room. My elderly parents loved the house and especially the golf cart pick up and drop off! The beach was beautiful but a bit crowded i thought. Kitchen was fully equipped. Great location to the pool. Would stay here again!

Why they chose this property

We came and rented a home in the gated Emerald Shores neighborhood and fell in love with it. Having two pools, a tennis court, a basketball/pickleball court and the private beach pavilion with the restrooms and showers at the most beautiful beach in the United States ... what more could you ask for? So when this 5 bedroom home became available on the market for sale, right by the main pool, we jumped on it! After a total remodel, we are loving our vacation home and enjoying the time we are able to spend in it as a family.

What makes this property unique

Our neighborhood has its own private, deeded beach with one of the only private beach pavilions (Only for owner's and guests. Code needed for gates & restrooms) with bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, shade and seasonal snack bar. Having the restrooms right there on the beach is a huge benefit so that you don't have to leave and go clear back to your vacation rental. The beach is very comparable to those we have been to in Cancun, Hawaii, Cayman Islands and the USVI. We love that in Florida you do not need a passport and you do not have to struggle with a huge time change, high cost of airfare and with foods or cultures you are not familiar with. The home is so close to the beach it allows us to walk (5-10 mins.) and we never have to worry about finding parking. Also you are able to head back for a break from the sun and sand and then return again hassle free, a great benefit for those of us traveling with kids or elderly family members.
