About Bonita Jones
We are retired and enjoy traveling and spending time with family. We've enjoyed remodeling this home and furnishing it for your pleasure. And now, after being out of the vacation rental market for almost two years, we are happy to open Granny Branch to the public.
Bonita Jones purchased this Farmhouse in 2013
Why Bonita Jones chose Mount Rogers National Recreation Area
I've loved this house since before we bought our house in this community. It is just down the street from where we live and is a piece of history in itself, being at least a century old. Living in the Camp community is like stepping back 50 years. Life is slower paced. People are friendly and neighborly.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
This home sits nestled near the Jefferson National Forest, a very quiet, peaceful rural area. Relaxing on one of the porches in the mountain breeze, or having breakfast outside are real treats. Come check out a slice of country living for yourself!

quiet neighbor enjoyed our stay
we all thoroughly enjoyed staying in your home, it was very relaxing and had everything we needed.
We all loved The home. It was clean, and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings, and on the back porch for morning coffee. The scenery to and from our event at hungry mother state park was Beautiful and very much worth the drive.if we are ever in the area In the future and need a place to stay we would much rather stay in your quaint little farmhouse as opposed to a stuffy hotel room. P.S. We all loved the brownies. Thanks for the experience.
We enjoyed our stay and the peacefulness of the area. Everyone was so friendly. The brownies were delicious. We did feel the house could have been cleaner but our overall experience was a good one.
We enjoyed meeting and chatting with you, and we're happy that you enjoyed your stay! We apologize that you encountered an issue with the house. If we had known, we would have certainly addressed it to your satisfaction. We hope you will return again soon!
Quaint farm house.
Had everything we needed. Certainly would return if we were in the area. Great Host.
We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay! Return again any time!
Peace and quiet in an historic old house
I had known about this VRBO destination for quite some time, as I lease a trout stream in the area, one valley over. I finally got to experience it and found it to be delightful. The little community of Camp has a good deal of historic significance in the southwest Virginia area and although much of the house dates back to the early 1900's, there is evidence of a structure on the site all the way back to 1818.
The house is very quaint and comfortable, nicely furnished, and quiet! The drive to get to Camp goes through some of the prettiest farmland one could ever imagine, with rolling hills on every side, and nary a car goes by, except for the occasional local resident. The owner, Bonita Jones, is a delightful lady. I couldn't have been more pleased.
Thank you! We enjoyed having you also and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Awesome Mountain Lodging
My wife and I adored the Granny Branch Inn. It had everything we were looking for when we booked. Quiet, spacious outdoors. Close to Hiking and Fishing in the National Forest. In fact you can walk out the side door and up the Mountain into the Mt Rogers National Recreation area.
The owner and the neighbors were super welcoming. (They really do leave Homemade Brownies out to welcome you.)
The yard and the views are beautiful. We will be back!
So happy you enjoyed your stay, and we enjoyed having you! Please return again soon!
