About Carol J Sanford

We moved to Bozeman in 1999 from Fairbanks, Alaska. I am a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a degree in art..Though I have lived at this home since 1999, the apartment for the rental was added in 2014, and is right next to my home. You will have privacy but also know that I will be here if you have questions.

I grew up in Northwest Washington State and taught art at Enumclaw High School and at Green River Community College. Later I moved north with my husband to Fairbanks where our three children were born (married now...my son and his family live here too!).

I love life in SW Montana! This is God's country!

I am active in my church - Grace Bible, and also enjoy walking, teaching handbuilt pottery classes, as well as gardening in the summer and shoveling snow and a little cross country skiing in the winter!

People are friendly and the pace of life here is sweet. I know you'll like it!

Carol J Sanford purchased this apartment in 2014

Why Carol J Sanford chose Bozeman

When deciding to leave Alaska and find a new 'home' I chose Bozeman because of its size, its beautiful scenery, and the fact that there is a university here.

I enjoy having space around my home...rooms with views! Space to breathe the great mountain air! There is nothing to obstruct the beautiful views...and yet this property is still close to town. The paved roads around this property and VRBO are perfect and safe for a relaxing walk or energizing jog!

What makes this apartment unique

When I first saw this big country home, I fell in love with it! Its farmhouse look with a big front porch reminded me of the home I grew up in out in coastal Washington State. I've added a large perennial garden which I look forward to every summer as it emerges from a blanket of snow! The vacation rental is located in the building right next to my home with a private entrance.

Beautiful, quiet and close to town

  • 5 of 5

Carol was so welcoming. She suggested a wonderful breakfast place, "The Coffee Pot" and a beautiful hike. The apartment is clean, new and very comfortable. Everything we needed for a long weekend. It is in the country so quiet and peaceful yet an easy drive into Bozeman. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Lovely country setting and a gracious host/owner

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Indian Paintbrush was everything we had hoped for. The apartment is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The views from every window were lovely. The location is close enough to Bozeman for anything you might want there, but access to hiking, walking trails, biking is convenient too.

Thank you, Carol, for your warm welcome and making sure we were comfortable with the newly installed air conditioning system.
