About Stan Strickland

From Central Arkansas but at the lake as much as possible!

Stan Strickland purchased this house in 2013

Why Stan Strickland chose Arkansas

Bought the house next door in 2006, and when this one came up for sale we knew what a great area we had found -- luckily we were able to buy it! It's a great lake house with beautiful views of Lake Hamilton.

We're constantly working to improve the house and make it more comfortable for guests.

What makes this house unique

This is a great two-family house with a kitchen and kitchenette downstairs. Beautiful views of the lake with large decks, great location convenient to town and grocery stores, and comfortable beds with a cozy feel make this a great place to enjoy the lake! On top of this, we have a party barge available for rent too, at half the price of local marinas.

Great place for a weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Stans Lake house for a long weekend with young kids and our dog. It fit 8 people just perfect and had plenty of space to spread out. Stan was so easy to work with as well, couldn't ask for an easier booking process. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped with everything you need. We were there during a cold rainy weekend so spent most of our time in the house which was just fine. Views were awesome as well!

Stan's lake house haven is heaven!!

I found location after much irritation, chasing around looking for the right spot for my family. It all started with a Stan being able to communicate right away, and making me feel confident that my stay will be satisfactory. He worked with me making it very easy for me and family to prepare for arrival.

I arrived to beautiful Hot Springs, and was most excited to see the house on the lake. The best vacation rental In my opinion that a family could ask for. It was very comfortable and clean. The home has everything you need to cook or BBQ. The lake view is gorgeous!!!! You can fish and relax, a definite vacation hot spot. You really feel like your on vacation here!!!! Pure tranquility. Thank you so much for your hospitality!! I couldn't have ask for anything more. I will be back to this exact location...

Stan has created A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN!!!

  • 5 of 5

I don't know where to begin. This place has it all. When you walk in the house is so homey, warm and inviting. This is a perfect place for families. We had 2 adults and 3 teens and each kid had their own bedroom and we slept on a big blow up mattress we took with us. And if you have more family, there is a really nice second property next door that has a kitchen that is out of this world! This property is simply perfect. We made a trip to the store and picked up necessities for for the kitchen and bathroom but when we returned we realized we had picked up stuff to tote home as Stan and his mom, Diane, had thought of everything! They even had a Dobe sponge and Dawn. That's exactly what I use at home! There was laundry supplies to wash towels with and the washer and dryer even plays you a little song when the cycle is finished. Loved the walkin showers with big shower heads and rock tile floor. The beds were soft and comfy and the bedrooms were roomy and not cramped. Plenty of room for sitting and visiting and eating both inside and outsdide as there is a big 4 top with a 5th chair in the dining room and outside on the covered deck is a 6 top along with 2 wicker chairs and the grill. Downstairs is a 2 top in the bedroom and a 4 top outside along with benches down the wall on the covered porch and a there is a 4 seat wrought iron picnic table with an umbrella down at the boat dock. The kitchen was full of all kinds of cooking supplies. Coffee makers in both upstairs and downstairs kitchens as well as stove and fridge. Nice deep sinks too. Water pressure was great. We stayed 5 nights and rented the barge. It is well worth the money too to play on georgous Lake Hamilton as you choose because if you rented one from one of the rental places you would only get to rent for 2 days instead of 5 for the price. We cruised and looked at all of the beautiful homes and we tubed too. Our little Yorkie, Tuki, tubed as well and he enjoyed his vacation thoroughly too. The house is located in a cove right off of the main body of water and was so easy to get in and out of. The only bad thing I can say about this house is having to climb stairs and the steep hill as we have bad knees and backs. But we did get a great work out while we were there. LOL

As we were leaving, Stan's mom, came to inspect the other property and she is an incredible lady. Sooo nice and friendly. We visited and we told her that we would most definately be back! Thanks Stan!

Stan has created A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN!!!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I begin?? This home is very homey, charming and inviting for families to play and have fun together at an incredible location right on Gorgeous Lake Hamilton!!

Stan and his mom have thought of everything right here. We couldn't remember what supplies were in the kitchen, like soaps and detergents and things like that so we bought themand our groceries at the wonderful, new and friendly grocery store just a few miles away called HARP'S. When we returned... we had purchased more groceries to tote home. They even had a clean Dobie spong in the kitchen and dawn. That's what we use at home!! Dishwashing powder was there too. Other places that we have stayed in didn't really offer that stuff, nor towels or bedding linens. Nice spacious bedrooms and comfy soft beds with the neatest comfy quilts to snuggle under. Tons of seating space inside and out. The toilets are both tall for folks with bad knees so that was a plus. The showers were very nice and so were the washer and dryer that had everything to go with it and they would sing you a song after they were though with the cycles. We rented the barge and it is HUGE! We had tons of fun with the kids on that and so did Tuki our Yorkie. As we entered the main body of the lake out of our cove, I immediately recognized where I was, as we vacationed on Lake Hamilton when I was growing up. I felt so at home. It was like seeing a best friend that you havent' seen in years. The neighbors were very nice too. The only thing that we didn't like was all of the steep stairs as we both have bad backs and knees. It took us a while but we got a great work out though. LOL

We will definately want to return again sooner than 4 years and hopefully be able to stay longer! I would recommend this property to anyone. Oh and if you have never visited Lake Hamilton, it is a very clean lake and at the pier you can see the bottom of the lake so clearly. This property is OUTSTANDING and thank you sooo much Mr. Stan for your hospitality and for hosting us in your beautiful Hot Springs playland and lake. WE HAD A BALL and hate that we are having to go home in the morning.

We returned for a great (though too short) stay. Great house with updated furnishings and fab kitchen, and convenient kitchenette downstairs in master suite is so convenient from lake! Gorgeous views from upstairs deck. New grocery store nearby is another plus. We'll be back Stan - thanks so much for your hospitality.

Booked Next Year Already!

  • 5 of 5

The third day of our vacation our family voted to book next year for the same week. Stan is wonderful to work with and we had the pleasure of meeting his Mom Diane also. Both were very accommodating and very easy to wok with. The home was perfect for us, everything we needed! The upstairs deck was a playpen for our three year old grandson who made friends with the neighbors! My husband fished off the dock and caught a nice four pound bass, my daughter, son-in-law and I enjoyed the view of the world floating by on the river! Hot Springs is an awesome spot and Stan's Lakefront Home just made it that much more special...see you next year!
