About Stan Strickland
From Central Arkansas but at the lake as much as possible!
Stan Strickland purchased this House in 2006
Why Stan Strickland chose Piney
We think we've found a great spot on the lake. Just finished an extensive renovation, gutted the entire downstairs and all new floors, new bathrooms, new kitchen countertops and cabinets! We're constantly working to improve the house and make it more comfortable for guests. We are so happy to see families enjoy our home, and so many come back year after year.
What makes this House unique
What people like most about the house aside from it's private location is the two family layout which lets you put the kids upstairs with their own kitchen and bathroom and other family members downstairs or vice versa.

Amazing vacation. Beautiful and up to date decor. I loved having two of EVERYTHING!!! My in-laws had the heat on downstairs and we had the A/C on upstairs!! We picked a bad week for fishing, that’s just how our luck goes. They had really bad storm a few days before we arrived and that brought in a cold front. We would love to visit again!!!
A piece of Heaven on Earth
Beautiful, beautiful lake home. The view was priceless. Hope to rent this one again soon. Also Stan, thank you for your hospitality! Take care of Andy!
Great house, wonderful hosts.
This was our first experience of renting a home for vacation. This home is beautiful, clean and the area is in a nice peaceful setting. We were more then satisfied with our accommodations. Great home, Great owners. We will definitely be back soon!
Roomy, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Would stay there again!
Feel at home in Stan's home!
If you are looking for an ideally located spacious home to rent in the Hot Springs area, look no further than this house! This house is really two houses in one - each floor has it own kitchen, spacious living areas and a private balcony overlooking the Ouchita River. My husband and I rented it to share with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter: the spaciousness of the house gave everyone their "own space" while also allowing us all to come together for meals, games and puzzle-making at night. There are plenty of tables and chairs to dine outside; sit, relax & read'; or fish from the pier. The sunrise and sunset over the river are beautiful as well. The kitchen is well equipped for those who love to cook and plenty of comfortable furniture that invites you to sit and visit with your family & friends. After visiting the Hot Springs National Park, Mid American Museum, Garvan Gardens or strolling through historic Hot Springs, this house beckons you to return and relax by the river. The owners are gracious and make you feel so welcome....and they even give consideration to pets as well. Hot Springs is a very friendly "dog city" and dogs were welcome at the gorgeous Garvan Gardens and many pets were noticed in various attractions within Hot Springs. Stan and his mother, Diane, are such nice people - it was a pleasure to meet them and to rent this "cozy, casual" house from them. I highly recommend this house for your family for an enjoyable getaway in Hot Springs!
More than enough room to relax and enjoy the family! Stan is a pleasure to communicate with. No hassle booking and check in! The beds were so comfortable, I loved the downstairs master! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Happy to have a brand new grocery store less than five minutes from the house at the corner of Albert Pike and 270! Located in the Ouachita Mountains, Hot Springs, Arkansas, is a natural for outdoor adventures and sporting events. The beautiful lakes of Catherine, Hamilton and Ouachita boast excellent bass and trout fishing and are popular sites of premier fishing tournaments and events, such as the Forrest Wood Cup and FLW Outdoor Expo and the BFL Super Tournament. Hot Springs lakes are also summertime hot spots for boating and water sports. Arkansas State Parks on Lake Catherine and Lake Ouachita offer year-round camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more. Hot Springs is home to world-class golfing. Discover challenging play on exquisite courses. Two 18-hole championship courses are listed on the Natural State Golf Trail. The 6,200-seat Summit Arena continues to bring top-notch events to Hot Springs, such as the Sun Belt Men’s & Women's Basketball Tournament and the Hot Springs Motorcycle Rally. One of the most beloved traditions in Hot Springs is Oaklawn Racing and Gaming’s live thoroughbred racing season, which runs from January through April, and concludes with the much-anticipated Racing Festival of the South, featuring the highlight of the year, the Arkansas Derby. If games of skill are more your speed, Oaklawn’s gaming room features Instant Racing, simulcasting and electronic poker, craps, blackjack, and more. For centuries, Native Americans, early European explorers, and visitors from around the world have flocked to the natural hot springs here to bathe in the healing waters. Today, the rich history of the hot springs has been preserved, and the bathing rituals continue to be popular among travelers. After a day of sightseeing, there’s no better way to rest and relax than a world-famous mineral bath.
