About Stan Strickland

From Central Arkansas but at the lake as much as possible!

Stan Strickland purchased this house in 2006

Why Stan Strickland chose Hot Springs

We think we've found a great spot on the lake. Just finished an extensive renovation, gutted the entire downstairs and all new floors, new bathrooms, new kitchen countertops and cabinets!

We're constantly working to improve the house and make it more comfortable for guests.

We are so happy to see families enjoy our home, and so many come back year after year.

What makes this house unique

What people like most about the house aside from it's private location is the two family layout which lets you put the kids upstairs with their own kitchen and bathroom and other family members downstairs or vice versa.

fabulous!

  • 4 of 5

Not only was this house perfect for our situation - three couples and there are three bedrooms and three full bathrooms - but Stan made the whole experience great. He is wonderful to work with and so accommodating to our requests. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This home offers beautiful lake views from the upper and lower levels with great living space on both levels as well. We enjoyed our stay and wished it had been longer. Communicating and coordinating our stay with Stan was very easy.

Incredible Week!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a wonderful week here with our children and their spouses and our grandchildren. First of all, the house itself is tastefully and charmingly decorated, and it was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It was more than spacious enough for all of us. I brought an air mattress for the kids, and two of the bedrooms are large enough to fit a queen mattress easily. The location is perfect - close to everything including a boat ramp and grocery store, but it still feels very private and secluded. We were able to tie up our boat in the covered dock, and we took it out frequently so the little ones could tube and the older ones could wakeboard. The lake is smooth as glass in the early morning and it's pretty sedate on weekdays. I found the boaters in the area to be respectful of other boaters and very careful around children tubing. There's enough to do in and around Hot Springs to entertain all ages. I'd recommend Lake Catherine State Park for hiking and picnicking, the Mid America Science Museum (very hands on - kids LOVED it, Funtrackers Go Karts, and cupcakes from Fat Bottomed Girls Cupcakes in town. The kids had a blast fishing off the swimming dock, and we also used the paddle board and floats at the house. There is a large paved parking area in front of the house that can accommodate several vehicles and a boat, and we even had enough room there to play corn hole. We played board games in the evening on the screened in porch, and I absolutely loved sitting on the back deck facing the lake taking in all the beautiful serenity. The fenced yard is perfect for dogs and steps in and out of the water for dogs who swim. The yard is sloped but not so steep that I had to worry about the kids tumbling down it.

Stan is a gracious and accommodating host and great to work with. We can't wait to go back!
