About this property

Charming Village House In Medieval Village, Close To Beach And Nice

Le Perchoir is a renovated and cosy village house in the heart of Haut de Cagnes

Le Perchoir sits in a narrow street, leading down from the 13th century Grimaldi castle at the top of the hill. The balcony offers both a sea view and a view of the old village houses.

From the street, you enter into the combined living-room/kitchen, which also serves as a dining-room. The lovely Provencal kitchen - as well as all of the house - is fully renovated and well equipped. In this charming house, there is a little staircase here, and another one there. Walk up from the kitchen, and you will first get to a landing with the master bathroom, equipped with a tub, a shower, a wash basin and a toilet. Steps lead up to a loft with a double bed.

Another set of stairs takes you up to the little living-room, which opens onto the balcony, with a view to the sea. Back in the kitchen, you walk down a short staircase to get to the bedrooms. The bigger one sleeps two, while the walk-through guest room can accommodate one person. On this floor, there is also a shower room with a wc.

A French Experience
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home in a Medieval part of town in Cagnes Sur Mer. Anna the home manager is so warm and welcoming when we arrived at the house. My husband and I enjoyed the coziness of the home and felt really comfortable there. A lovely French experience! A short walk up the hill you will find great restaurants and the Chateau Grimaldi that you can tour and enjoy beautiful artwork. There is a shuttle bus that stops close by every 15 minutes that brings you into the city center (a three minute ride or less) where you can do all of the shopping necessary and head to the beach as well. Transportation is easy to use and to getting around to the different towns in the Côté D’Azur as well. Truly a great place to stay!

The Real French Riviera Jewel
"On behave of my friends Luz Penner and Betty Estrella, we will like to THANK YOU very much for the opportunity to stay at your wonderful place - Le Perchoir. My friends and I, had an amazing time and we enjoyed every second. The restaurants, your neighbors, the town and all the experiences that we have - including parking and walking in hills - will be memories that we are never going to forget."

Stepping back in time
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Perchoir in Haut de Cagnes. It was right in the middle of a charming medieval town and the apartment had the quaint touches that let you know you were in a historic building. It was centrally located and allowed us to explore the entire French Riviera and south of France. The arrangement worked well for us, as we were two couples and each of us had a bedroom and bath on different floors. We especially enjoyed having cheese and wine on le balcon every evening and walking to the plaza around the chateau where we sat at a café with the locals and enjoyed the view. The manager and neighbors were very friendly and we felt that just about everyone we saw was a local. So refreshing. Unfortunately we were upgraded to a large Mercedes....With the narrow streets in town, we should have refused it and stayed with a small car. Thank you for renting to us; we have a lovely memory of a town that feels very old French.
