A beautiful 3,000 sq. ft. house in an upper-middle class neighborhood, 7 miles from the University of Kentucky and downtown Lexington, and 5 miles from the airport and Keeneland. There is a small park across the street and a grocery store (Kroger) about half a mile away.

FYI, the cat mentioned in some reviews was moved to another property in February of 2017; there are no longer any pets living at this house.

In accordance with zoning ordinances and/or to address problems that have occurred with past guests, the following additional rules are enforced:

1) MAXIMUM OF 4 UNRELATED GUESTS (i.e., not related by blood, marriage, or adoption) due to zoning restrictions on single-family housing.

2) MAXIMUM AWAKE-TIME VISITORS on the property is one per paid guest at any given time (for example, if you have 5 paid guests then you can have a maximum of 5 additional awake-time visitors the house at any one time). If you anticipate having more visitors than paid guests then you must obtain written permission (to do so, write to me with the purpose for the visitors, the total number of visitors, and the day/time range that they will be visiting).

3) QUIET TIME is 10pm to 7am. This is a quiet family neighborhood; if the neighbors can hear your voices or your music from their property then you are too loud.

4) INTERFERING WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM IS PROHIBITED. This includes tampering with, disabling, repositioning, or covering the cameras or security system equipment. (The cameras are positioned to watch all entrances/exits from outside of the house; there are no cameras inside the living area of the house itself.)

Most guests followed these rules even before they became explicit rules, but those who didn't have upset the neighbors. Therefore, failure to comply with these rules can result in police involvement, eviction, and/or forfeiture of the deposit. Please note that the neighbors are aware that this is a short-term rental and I have encouraged them to call the police and/or me if problems arise. That said, follow these rules and everyone will be happy. :)

The house was perfect for our needs

The house was perfect for entertaining. We had 10 adults there for one week and we were not tripping over each other at all. The backyard was relaxing. Very quick response from the owner to all our queries. Overall a fantastic experience. I would recommend the property to anyone.

Spacious but dated

This house is so open & has a lot of space. Is in a beautiful upscale neighborhood. 4 bedrooms, all with very comfortable foam mattresses. But, coffee pot in kitchen was broken & stove, pots & pans very dated & old. We decided a new cleaning service was needed. Coffee pot had dried coffee present & was unwashed. Dirt around baseboards. Carpet needed cleaned in several rooms. House was close to our destination & plenty of stores for groceries, food, etc nearby. We would rent again but definitely some cleaning & updates needed.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. This is the first I have heard that the coffee pot is broken (but it's apparently still functional given that it was dirty?), and I will certainly share your critique of the cleaning service with them with the expectation of improvement. The comment about the stove, pots, and pans being dated is perplexing to me though; there are a few old pots and pans, but the majority of them are quite nice and modern (i.e., enough that no reason one would need to use the older ones), and the stove is typical of what would be found standard in most houses of this type (and most types, actually). I try to address issues promptly, but welcome clarification on what prompted these latter concerns so I can know how to properly address them.

Spacious with great layout!

Great communication with Jason during our trip. The house is very spacious with a great layout! Kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed for making meals while we were there. The beds were very comfortable. The house is situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood, close to the Keeneland race track. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious and Inviting Home

We needed a home that would accommodate 3 generations for a week. With our son's wedding and multiple festivities including a day at Keeneland races, it was important to have a home away from home. The central location made it easy to get to Talon Winery, Saul Good ( Downtown), Buffalo Trace Distillery and Golfing nearby. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. There is an overabundance of bedding, towels and paper products, which was very much appreciated. The open kitchen and living area was great for our gathering. We recommend this home and will stay here again in the future.
