About Property Manager
Since retiring in 2001, we have spent half of every year here at Coastahwile. We built Coastawhile as a retirement home in 1997, and enjoy renting to people who appreciate the 'homey' atmosphere and personal features of our home as opposed to more typical generic rental 'units'. Almost 25% of our rental guests are repeat visitors, and we appreciate their loyalty as well as valuing their feedback.
Property Manager purchased this House in 1997
Why Property Manager chose Port St. Joe
After searching the east coast from North Carolina down to mid-Florida, and most of the western Florida Panhandle for almost five years, we discovered the 'Forgotten Coast of Florida' and knew that we had found a place for our vacation/retirement home. We bought the lot in 1994 and built Coastawhile in 1997. The quaint, low key charm of the area perfectly suits the wants and needs of our lifestyle. We are only twenty minutes from both Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, an hour to Panama City, and less than two hours to Tallahassee and Destin.

Best beach home ever
My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our vacation at Coastawhile. The home and the view was perfect in every way. The home is most beautifully decorated, reminding you constantly that you are on the beach. This is the best home we've ever rented. The seaside views could not be better...viewing directly over the sea. The hot tub is perfectly positioned such that as you sit in it, you overlook the sea...giving that infinity pool feel. All appliances are modern and clean. The house was very clean. The neighboring homes are situated at a good distance from Coastawhile, giving you all the privacy you need. Unlike other homes, where the adjacent houses are too close. I've lived in Florida all my life and this is one of the best beaches. A special shout-out to Suzanne with Pristine Properties...she is amazing...so friendly and professional...she really extended herself to us as we were planning our vacation. Thank you for your warmth, Suzanne. The owner, Bill Cooper was very friendly and also did everything he could do to ensure that our vacation was a success. Best homeowner I have ever dealt with. My girlfriend and I feel like we know his beautiful family through their framed photos and books. Everything about our vacation was perfect. We will be back.
Great house and location!
Great, pet friendly beach house.
Great home, beautiful view, low traffic
Beach was nice, hot tub great, view was amazing. Very little traffic on the beach. Home was big and spacious. Only two slight negatives: cable tv was terrible, hard to watch college World Series. Need to upgrade to satellite or similar with better service. Bugs on porch were extreme at night. Would recommend that next visitor bring a fan to keep them away so they can fully enjoy the view. Overall we will visit again.
Birding, antiquing, crabbing, and world class star gazing. One minute from Indian Pass Campground boat ramp. Ferry shuttle to St. Vincent's Wildlife Refuge also available.
