Fully stocked amenities in our cozy large one bedroom, one full bath cottage. Master suite opens out to the terrace, has a spacious walk-in closet, full bath, tub and shower, high ceilings and 100 percent cotton bedding and linens. Brand new queen size sealy pillow top mattress, desk, brand new XL Sealy twin bed...

Living room also a full size extremely comfortable futon that converts into a full size bed, and a regular couch that is NOT a pull out sleeper..

There is a ceiling fan in the living room, keeps it extremely comfortable!

Included is a smart TV, unlimited netflix, cable tv WITH HBO AND SHOWTIME.

We also have a pack and play for your toddler/baby to sleep in, and a high chair.

The kitchen is fully stocked for all of your cooking needs; pots, pans, gas stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, blender,toaster oven, toaster, and Kuerig coffee pot with plenty of coffee pods, spices, and many extra amenities to save you added trips to the store.

French doors open to your private terrace, including 4 chaise lounge chairs, separate patio table and chairs, full size Weber BBQ, outdoor propane for bbq and outdoor fire pit, 2 patio umbrellas, and plenty of storage for your bikes, surf boards, and anything else you want to keep secure while you're exploring our beautiful Santa Cruz and Monterey coast.

Friendly, quiet and non-shedding pets are welcome. We ask that you notify us prior to your arrival if you are bringing a pet, to be sure you have read our pet policy in advance.

The yard is set back, off the street, very quiet and secure.

We include the use of two bikes and helmets, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and beach toys for the little ones. We also have patio toys for little ones, cozy coupe, and sand toys.

This is a perfect home away from home for a family with up to two children, a romantic retreat, girls get-a-way, family reunion, college graduation, or a business traveler.

The house is set far back, giving you total privacy and a lovely yard/patio to entertain on, or just relax and watch the stars at night.

We are walking distance to the Santa Cruz Harbor, Arana Gulch, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Only a 5-10 minute drive to UCSC, to Nisene Marks State Park, and many other state parks all within a five mile radius....for amazing hiking in the redwood forest..A quick 20 min. drive up the coast you'll enjoy viewing elephant seals and the best windsurfing our state has to offer.

Only 45 minutes south of us you'll be in Monterey, enjoying the amazing and must-see Monterey Bay Aquarium, and 10 more minutes south you can see where the pros golf…Pebble Beach Golf course!!! If you'd rather the big city, San Francisco is 1 hour north of us.

We have world class wineries all around us!!!

Make it a wine tasting weekend, and enjoy what our Santa Cruz mountains have to offer!!!

You'll love our location because we avoid all of the beach traffic, given our prime location, yet easy access to everything.

We are only a couple minutes off the freeway, but set in a very quiet, safe, and friendly neighborhood.

We are also one 1/2 block from a nearby park, for your pooch, or a longer walk to Frederick street park, a legal off leash dog park, and just above the harbor...also a fun kid play structure park!

In the Seabright neighborhood, we are centrally located to walk to many wonderful restaurants in the Seabright area, as well as Whole Foods, New Leaf grocery store, and our favorite, Shoppers Corner grocery store, and The Buttery! Yum!

My husband and I have raised 4 kids here! This is the neighborhood my husband grew up in, and now our kids! They are all grown now, but come home when they can! Our yard is our haven...lots of singing birds and gorgeous plants! It is our sanctuary!

The ocean is my sanctuary too, and I visit it almost everyday.

When not at the the ocean, I walk my dog down to the harbor everyday..or we go into the redwoods, hiking a trail, and enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. WE both take advantage of our location, and walk or ride our bikes as much as possible. Its just so peaceful to be able to live this way!

My life motto is CARPE DIEM…Life is too short, we must embrace one another, eat well, live well, and play hard!!!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!

After living in various places all of my life, I fell in love with Santa Cruz 29 years ago..and plan to stay put!

We rarely leave our town, except to go to San Francisco once in a while, or Monterey. It's hard to leave a place that is so serene and beautiful. The weather is almost always perfect, and the people are very friendly.

There is beauty everywhere you look, from our rugged ocean to our majestic redwoods…So much beauty and things to do in the outdoors year-round, all within a 30 minute drive of one another. (most either walking distance, biking, or a 5 minute drive)!

We enjoy hosting our cottage as a way to meet new people, and sharing our love of our town, and all that she has to offer.

Our property is in the heart of Santa Cruz. We are in a quiet neighborhood, so at night, all you might hear are the waves crashing, or in the morning the birds singing. In the winter we usually hear the seals barking from the harbor and wharf.

In the summer, you can walk down to the Beach Boardwalk for their free summer concert series, (Friday and Saturday nights).

One block away is the Santa Cruz roller Rink..not just for kids!!!

Two blocks away is the Pacific Cultural Center (a world class Yoga institute).

We have numerous yummy restaurants around us, our library is one block away, three health food grocery stores are also within two blocks away, and the very best bakery in all of Santa Cruz, The Buttery, only 5 minutes away.

UCSC is 15 minutes away.

We also have easy freeway access, so you don't have to drive clear across town, (and get stuck in beach traffic) to get from point A to point B.

The Soquel Mountains have a huge variety of vineyards, and they are only 15 minutes away!

There is always something new to discover, and if all you want to do is chill, our cottage provides that, or go hang out at the Crows Nest at the Harbor (sailboat races are every Wednesday afternoon...great place to watch!)…and ENJOY AND RELAX

What makes this house unique

Our beach cottage is situated in the back of our 1/4 acre property.. IMMACULATE, extremely private, SUPER QUIET…serene. You have your own private entrance, private yard/patio, and designated off street parking in the driveway.

The cottage is new construction, well insulated, extremely quiet, private, and peaceful.

We only use eco-freindly products when cleaning, so there will never be any harsh chemical smells.We only use Meyers Clean Day, or hot water and vinegar...no scents.

With the charm and tranquility of taking you away…Decorated in a beach theme, high ceilings, fully equipped kitchen..electric griddle, gas stove and oven, coffee maker with coffee, blender, toaster-oven, ipod/ipad charger/player, all the do-dads you could need while cooking..painted with custom colors, it is just beautiful.

The patio has both sun and shade, and is quite large. We also provide an outdoor fire pit, outdoor party lights to enjoy our peaceful evenings,a brand new Weber gas BBQ, and two cruiser bicycles...with helmets and lock. ( we might be able to rustle up one or two more bikes if you need them, just ask)..

We also have to SUP (stand up paddle boards) that you may borrow if you ask.

Our cottage has loads of charm and coziness!

All of our neighbors are quiet, and respectful of one another. This is a lovely home that invites relaxation and roominess.

The owner lives on the property, in the front house. We ask that outdoor activities (noise) end after 9:00 pm. to be mindful for everyone's peace and quiet in the evening..(including our neighbors) We are available by text or phone, and am happy to assist in making your stay as comfortable as possible...that being said, you have complete privacy, and are left alone unless you request assistance for something. Absolutely love this house. You can tell the owner takes pride in her property. She thought of every detail when creating the vacation rental needs. We went for my husband birthday weekend and not only did she have a snack waiting for us when we arrived she had a sweet treat waiting for my husband. Most thoughtful owner!! House has everything you need and even personal items you might have forgot to bring. Going back to stay for sure!! Love Daisy too!! Thanks Nikki!!!

wonderful!

I loved staying at this lovely cottage. We were so hungry and I think hypoglycemic checking in and were greeted with some lovely snacks. The bikes were a great plus. The owner lives in the front house but the privacy is wonderful. They have a friendly dog. My brothers who live nearby came to visit and we were able to entertain on the fun, lighted patio with a heater! I hope to come back next time in Santa Cruz. Thank you Thank you! Mary and Steve

Cozy, beachy, special touches

Great little place! The owner made our stay extra special with goodies waiting for us! Our dogs were safe and secure in the enclosed yard. Felt kind of like staying at a bed and breakfast, with more privacy! Definitely recommend for a mellow getaway, close to everything.

We live in the front house and are a phone call away.

We are in the Seabright neighborhood…One mile from beach, harbor, Beach Boardwalk, 1 mile from Downtown Santa Cruz. ..great 5 minute walk to Arana Gulch and down to the Harbor!!!

Perfect for biking, walking, or a short drive to all of the hot spots. Hop on hwy 1 to either San Francisco or Monterey for the day. There are amazing eateries within 3 blocks of us, as well as many state parks for serene hiking or mountain biking…Needless to say we have world class surfing too!

There is an off-leash dog park walking distance from us (Frederick street park), and we can help you with where to go in Santa Cruz that allows pets…Santa Cruz is very pet friendly, as we are, since we have a hound! (She lives in her private yard, and loves everyone!).

Public bus system is easily accessible. To get around you can bring or rent bikes, or borrow the 2 cruisers that we have for your use.

Our cottage is for couples, families with 1-2 children, a small group of friends maximum of 4. (girls retreat, writing group, artist retreat).

Our neighborhood is extremely quiet and serene.
