Modern 4200 square foot vacation home
Blueberry lodge was built as a family vacation home suited to social gatherings. The lodge is 4200 square feet, with four large bedrooms with en suite full baths on the ground floor and a 2100 square foot open great room on the second floor.
Designed by renowned architect Piet Van Dijk, this modern lodge is designed to comfortably accommodate the needs of different family arrangements while providing a gracious and convivial social space.
The master suite contains a king sized bed, a kitchenette, dressers and large closets and a large bathroom with a double shower and vanity.
The second bedroom has a king that can be converted into two twins and a full bath with large shower.
The third bedroom has a queen sized bed, a full sized fold out futon and a full bath with shower and tub.
The fourth bedroom has a king that can also be converted into two twins, a queen sized murphy bed and a full bath with shower.
The entry hall is large and open with plenty of winter clothing storage and a couch. There is also a large separate laundry room on this floor.
The ground floor is heated with radiant 'in floor' heating which is very comfortable in the cold weather months.
The great room has a cathedral ceiling and a monitor that adds light and regulates heat in the summer. It comprises a large open kitchen, a formal living area, a dining area, a full bar, a gaming area, a billiards table that doubles as a ping pong table and a media viewing area with an HD projection as well as traditional TV.
The lodge has DirecTV and high speed internet. There are also two wood burning stoves and a large exterior deck with a gas grill.
Renters will be able to use one bay of the separate three car garage.
Outside there is also a large slate tile patio under the deck, a wood storage shed and a covered entry way with a small patio.
There is a 'Boules' court and picnic table to one side of the house.
Finally, while Blueberry Lodge is deep in the mountains of southern Vermont on top of scenic Ames Hill, it is only twelve minutes from Interstate 91 in West Brattleboro Vermont so it is surprisingly convenient for visitors from the south.

John Glover purchased this House in 2000
Why John Glover chose Marlboro
I built the Lodge as a family gathering place. It is designed for easy access and accommodation for weary weekend travelers (bedrooms and storage downstairs) and communal dining and entertaining.
What makes this House unique
The house is unique due to its spectacular open plan great room. It is the ultimate family/friends gathering place with room for all sorts of vacation activities and past times, from quiet reading in the living area, to relaxing in front of an open fire to watching a movie on a projection TV.

Fantastic home and location!
The Blueberry lodge is a great place to relax and unwind. I would happily go back there again!
Wonderful space for a social gathering.
Comfortable bedrooms, and a wonderful space for a group of 8-12 friends. While access is by dirt road, the road was in great shape. Already planning to rent again for fall or later in the spring.
Blueberry Lodge is an excellent location for a family gathering.
Blueberry Lodge is a perfect setting for a large family gathering. John and his sister do an excellent job of orienting you to the location (up a dirt road) and the house. The house is laid out with multiple areas for small conversational groupings. Kids can be seen playing in one area while patents visit close by. The kitchen is well equipped, the house is scrupulously clean. There are plenty of games (including ping pong) with something for everyone. We found our hosts flexible and quick to respond to our questions. We skied close by at Mount Snow and visited a natural history museum that we all (kids and adults) found extremely interesting. Would definitely return to this amazing house.
Really nice place for a family getaway
This lovely home is a fun spot for a family getaway.
Everybody in our party of 11 (4 couples, some small kids) had plenty of space when they needed it.
We found the place to be clean, well-appointed with everything you'd need, and the owners are well-organized and responsive to questions.
Besides that, the place is set up for fun (pool/ping-pong table, bar, dart board, TV, casino, games) and cozy relaxing (comfy chairs, wood stove).
We would absolutely stay here again!
Even better than the photos!
We stayed at John's home over the first weekend in December for my husband's birthday. The house is even better in person than in the photos. We cooked every meal in their well-equipped kitchen, went hiking, and enjoyed exploring the area. Plenty of space for 4 - 5 couples. John is a great host and travel was easy from the Boston area!
So glad we chose to stay here — it was exactly what we needed.
What a fun place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving family reunion weekend at Blueberry Lodge. It is the ideal space for relaxing, playing, and cooking together.
